Hi to all!
Maybe you can help me.
I am not a rooting noob but it was my first Huawei root (before only samsung).
I have tried to root my mate 9 as shown on your threads.
Bootloader was unlocked successfully, twrp was flashed with adb and works. Then I tried to flash the root file and something didn't work. My mate 9 restarts and gets in a bootloop. I tried factory reset but nothing helps. Twrp works but nothing else.
After a while I found in the forum an thread with the mate 9 stockrom ( for MHA-L09). I installed it with creating an dload folder on my SD card and now I can use my phone again. But now I get the model number M300 and missing things like the update button in menu, the stock file Explorer,..
When I connect the phone with the hisuite it means no update available because I am on the newest developer version. Is there any possibility to get back to an really stock Rom?
I also see only 16 GB Rom and 2 GB RAM instead of 64/4
Thanks in advance for your answer and your help (and also for the great work from all of you guys)
Cheers bob

I tried to root my 7840 with 5.1 using @social-design-concepts tethered CMW and after flashed supersu, I accidentally selected "wide cache partition" and the device freezed there for a long time. I had to hold the power button to reboot. But the device cannot root into the system, it stuck at "intel inside" logo.
I'm wondering what happened and what should I do now to unbrick my device now.
I appreciate if someone could help me with a solution.
Update (8/13):
Followed @xBIGREDDx 's link, I found the dell official developer flash files. And flashed flash_DDO_BB.xml to unbrick and format the correct partition (correct me if I said wrong). Then use @social-design-concepts 's tethered CWM to flash 5.1 update.zip file (put the zip in external SdCard) uploaded by @xBIGREDDx. And the device gets back to fully functional with fresh installed 5.1 LP
Oh...latest @social-design-concepts root method works with Android 5.1 without downgrading Bootloader?

I used the latest version with T4. What should I do to fix it now?
For now, try these steps. You'll have to go back a bit in the thread there to find links to the system.img
I'm working on a better un-brick solution but for now that's the best we've got.

BIGREDD,
Thanks for your tips. I unbricked my device but it was actually much easier than I though. I flashed DDO_BB.xml, and then in tethered CWM flashed 5.1 update.zip. That turns the dead device back to functional. Of course I flashed your files to root.
My notice is 5.1 consumes much more ram than 5.0. At 5.0 after boot, I got ~1G free memory. But now I only have ~500MB. Is it normal?

please share the link for dell venue official flash file

hi,I'm having the same device and recently I installed gravitybox or some app of that kind and it offered an option to install xposed framework.I was skeptical if my device was compatible but did it anyway.Next it went into a bootloop at the intel logo and has been there ever since.my present condition is,I can get into fastboot menu but cannot install the xposed uninstaller.zip since the sd card is not recognised anymore.I tried to adb sideload it but only errors follow.I understand this device has a temporary recovery and right now there is no custom recovery installed I guess(?).I am new to android so kindly help me get the device to function again.thanks.

Ok, so I don't want to continue with this after I get some specified things in order to pursue the root methods.
My phone is Allview V2 viper x+ 3 gb ram bla bla (http://allview.ro/produse/telefoane/viper/v2-viper-x-plus-gold.html)
I'm backing up now few things and after that will backup the system files like recovery, imgs and more so, just for to be sure I have some back up in order to get it back to life if something gone's wrong.
I have 2 problems to solve with this phone.
1. After I changed my sd card to be the default internat storage for apps, everytime I try to install some app from market it's says something about hardwer is not compatible or something like this, but If i'll download the apk from some site (same apk) is working, well this is the first problem and is unsolved.
2.I want to have the phone rooted, I saw many posts with this method of supersu beta root and I have to flash some recovery img (I'm always trying and I see if is working, but I have a lot to save from my phone, so I'll have to wait to finish the full backup, reset the phone, get the sd card off and so on).
I tried to search a good version of TWRP for my phone, but I don't find any good compatbile.
My question for you is :
1.Did anybody had a successful root with this phone?
2.Which method is better to root an marshmallow? (6.0)
3.There is some recovery of twrp compatbile with this phone?
4.Does the ota update will work after the root process? (because I'm thinking that they could have some update to 6.0.1, but Idk when).
##Update##
I came back to previous version of 5.1 and root it and then I'll try the method from here with flashfire.

##Update-2##
Failed every method I tried.
- Failed installing custom recovery carliv, cwm, twrp (all failing, is not booting after flashing custom recovery, the only one who works is that carliv touch but if I install it, will not boot anymore)
- Failed kingroot (suppose to have some 6 method of rooting one click root)
- Failed flashing supersu, not working without a custom recovery .
- Tried to search for some custom rom to install with carliv, but I didn't find any good, all had errors that I didn't find to solve. and is crazy that I can't root the phone.
Note : What method remains?
If someone know..
##Update-3##
After many many unsucessful custom recoverys, successful bootloader unlock and many resets, didn't get any luck.
I'll remain on 5.1 till I have a clearly method of rooting the marshmallow without having to change the custom recovery, or maybe till I find a good custom recovery that works with anything I need.
Or till they update the android 6.0 to 6.0.1 (I saw that they have some root access option).
Maybe someday someone will text here with some method or similar, so I'll look here everyday till I find a way ;3
Ps. : Even if is a gionee s plus, the methods I saw for it, didn't worked aswell.
Cya.
##Up1x##
Tried this too and voilla .. ..
Another error ^^

##Final Update (Can close this)##
After a lot of of of of searching and mental stress and a lot of digging, I finally find a very one and good solution to get supersu flashed by a custom recovery.
For those who have problems like me and have same phone (Gionee Splus), follow this guide : https://atozhacks.blogspot.ro/2016/08/gionee-splus-marshmallow-philz-touch.html
I did already unlocked bootloader and flashed twrp then i tried to install gapps and something went wrong.
Now when i start my phone it just says "google" like two second and then goes to erecovery.
I have no idead what i should do.
Is my phone completely dead?
Nop.
I'm guessing your are with a chinese honor 9 on a chinese firmware, which one ?
Im from finland so i should have eu firmware right?

Depending where and whoyou buy it from you could have a not european version rebranded or not to european version.
You're stating : 'then i tried to install gapps' : There was no google playstore already on your phone ?
I also rooted my phone with magisk so the stock play store didint work so i tried to install gapps.
And i bought my phone local shop in finland

So we're guessing you were on firmware STF-L09C432B36x.
Just use HuRUpdater to flash one of those.

I cant find the correct files and also dont understand how the updater works.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279/ i dont understand these instructions.
It says "Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard." does it mean microsdcard or what?
Yes it does.
(Alternatively, you could replace your microSD by a USB flash drive plugged in phone's USB).
So there is no way to flash them without microsdcard? Am i right
So i think i found the right files but witch one should i use STF-L09Shw or STF-L09hw what the difference is?

STF-L09S is the 'unreleased' honor 9 premium with 6GB Ram.

Without your twrp's recovery.log it will hard to know what happened... please share it.
My crystal ball's powers are sometimes kind of limited, but I'll try asking :
-Did you try with a FullOTA-MF firmware ? which one ?
-Did you renamed 2 of the 3 firmware's files like asked ?
-Did you used twrp 0.3 ?
-Did you used HuRUpdater 0.3 ?
Yeah i did all those thing but i managed to get my phone up and runing by using files from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/firmware-huawei-honor-9-stf-l09-stock-t3696892
Thank you for you time, i appreciate your help.
Oh, so you were still on nougat STF-L09C432B1xx.
Yeah. I just want this thing to run atleast for now.
Hi,
I have a big problem.
My brother tried to root my Xtrons Px6 rk3399 gs. with Su user. He updated superuser. Now the radio is in the boot loop and it won't start. He then tried a new firmware to bottles which does not work either, the radio only shows the logo. I get into recovery. I just do not know how to go on:-(
it's the Xtrons PQ80UNV
Sorry for my english.

TF? Why would you want to root that?
Did you try factory resetting?
He said it would be better. then you have more options. Because of some sound patch, I don't know much about it. Factory reset? I pressed Restet button but no change. It doesn't just start the boot logo from Vw.
I don't even get to the Adroid. Only in recovery.
Did a wipe, but it still doesn't start.
You chose wipe cache partition. I meant "Wipe data/factory reset"
Try choosing it.
If your brother is the one who did this as you say, if it's me I'd force him to fix it or at least pay for it.
I tried that too. I also tried the original firmware here, but always the same.

What I noticed is that with every firmware I install it is always the same recovery version.

Do you have unlocked bootloader? You may need to flash the stock ROM if you can find it.
It works again, I have now flashed the img instead of the ota. Now it works again. Great. Thank you so much for your help

I don't think I did anything but happy to see everything work out fine.
Make sure your brother doesn't do something like that again.
NO, he can't get to this radio anymore .. thanks again
the UNIT you have, looks almost the same as ICE/HU/PBX89UNV ( except mine has android 9 ) XTRONS ? 64GB -4GB ?
correction- there are multiple versions of this exact same unit. (even one with a qualcomn)
yours has the HDMI out pigtail ?
firmware link -
word instruction -
codes to ENABLE DEVELOPER OPTIONS
To start debugging, enter adbon in the factory settings input password box
if you want to change the factory settings, boot image, etc,, enter 126 in the factory settings input password box.
may i ask fellow members , to root this ,
unlock boot-loader,
flash updated BOOT.img (magisk patched)
-- because this is android 9, do i need a BLANK VBMETA flash?
funny fact--- this unit, will BOOTLOOP if you put a 512GB micro SD card in the slot, it boot loop cycles..
(anything above 128GB causes issues )
the micro SD slot for MAP/GPS , --- can we use this for anything else ?
and does anyone know of there are any custom roms and or TWRP already built for this > (this should share similar/same across a few brands ?)

I'm having the very same problem right now. I tried to root the device and everything worked well so far, but neither Wifi nor Bluetooth is getting activated. Changing to the other boot slot ended up in a boot loop back to fastboot.

Same problem. Everything working fine just Wi-Fi,camera,Bluetooth not working.
Which method did you use to root your device?
I'm following @halloweenm925's advice and downloaded the firmware for the EU version of the CPH2465 with a second device. How would you move forward if you had this file?

inbox me bro.. just now i fixed the problem
Solved the problem. Here is how I did it.
1) On a second Android phone, download the Oxygen Updater App
2) Open the app, set it to advanced settings, chose the device with the semi-bricked status, download the full zip
3) the zip file will be downloaded to sdcard's user root => transfer the zip file to your semi-bricked device
4) on your semi-bricked device, go to settings>updates, click on the top right three-point-menue and chose "local installation"
5) select the zip file and do the update
After the unpacking and verification is finished, reboot the phone and things should be back to normal.
If you want, you can now give the rooting a second try. There are a lot of tutorials, I used this one since I had the stock full rom:
Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G using Magisk [No TWRP Required]
Do you own a OnePlus Nord CE 5G android smartphone? If yes, today, we will share with you how you can Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G with the help of the Magisk
magiskapp.com
The full stock rom which is downloaded as described above needs to be extracted with the help of a script: as described here:
[LINUX][GUIDE] ROM Payload Image Dump
Now we have dumpers for Win/Mac/Linux! Great!
forum.xda-developers.com
So the steps to root the device would be
1) download the full rom as described above
2) extract the boot.img with the help of aforementioned python script
3) follow the steps as described in the tutorial linked above
I think what caused the initial issue on my side was that I simply was not on the same OS version on the device as the boot.img which I extracted from the full zip which is totally my own fault because almost every tutorial mentions it explicitly that you have to have the latest update on your to-be-rooted device AND make sure that you have the same ROM available to root your device.
Questions welcome!
