[g925f] Random Reboots - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, guys
I'm having a problem with my S6 edge(g925f), its keep rebooting randomly, I tried a couple of different things:
-installing the latest software with Odin
-Installing a NobbleROM
-Hacker kernel and decreasing the a53 to 900mhz
nothing really helped me...
Can someone of you suggest me a different solution?
p.s I don't have a warranty
Thank you in advanced!
Ivan

Have you tried a wake lock app and set to level 4? Should stop the reboots but battery may be a bit worse

I tested it today on level 4|6|10, unfortunately without much of a success. Is there something else I can do?
Thanks

I had the same problem on my s6 edge and note 4. And to be honest the only thing that fixed it for me was replacing the batteries. It's not exactly cheap to replace the s6 battery but it did stop the reboots. Just a suggestion. Are you rooted or do you have warranty?

I don't have a warranty and I want to explore all my options before try to replace the battery. I'm rooted though is there something else you have in mind

Ahh I was going to suggest a custom ROM but I see you have tried already noble ROM.
Have you tried stock firmware with full wipe data and cache? To rule out if it's an app causing the reboots?
Also you can try to disable auto optimization for all apps in battery settings, I've read numerous times on here that it helps.
Also you can try with greenify and Lspeed from plays store. Both need root but there are settings to tweak within Lspeed which helps.

Which ROM/Kernel are you running and also are you overclocked and undervolting at all?
its all stock

That would most likely be a hardware problem. I would go to the AT&T store and have them check it out. That definitely should not be happening on a stock phone.
ok thank you

Agreed - If you're on pure stock and you are not using SetCPU to set screen-off profiles with limits below 800 MHz, you should not ever encounter a sleep of death.
This is a sign of a defective device.

[Q] Need some information.

So I have a Galaxy S3 running Omega v35.
The thing that I wanted to know was,
Does wiping the device affect the battery/performance of the device in any way?
I have been using this ROM since v21. I haven't wiped it even once.
Will it affect the battery or the performance of the phone in any way?
If yes please explain
Thanks.

Battery - no.
Performance - potentially. You may have random bit's of old installs hanging round that may or may not be conflicting with what you have now. What makes you ask? Have you got any performance issue?

Not performance issues.
Lags and stutters some times.
Battery performance feels a little low though.
Thanks for the reply.

That's performance issues

Phone resets when playing video or audio

I'm having a strange problem with my Xperia Arc (4.0.4) that is proving very difficult to track down. When playing music or videos, after a random amount of time (maybe 20 or 30 seconds) the phone will crash and restart. This happens regardless of the app I use - Play Music, Poweramp, MX Player and YouTube. I have restored my phone using CWM to a much earlier backup, but eventually (within a few hours) the problem returns.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Unless anyone has any ideas, my only other recourse would seem to be a full wipe and return to stock firmware, which would be a major PITA and obviously wouldn't help if this is a hardware issue or some conflict with an update :crying:
Are you using a Custom Kernel ? Are you Undervolted ?

prboy is correct. Does your phone get enough power? Is your battery broken? Try flashing a stock firmware again. It may solve the problem.

I'm using a custom rom but not undervolted (stock kernel as locked bootloader).
Interesting about the battery, do you think it's worth buying another battery to see if that's the problem?

Before buying another battery, I would flash a different Rom. See if that corrects the issue. If that doesn't work, I would then go back to Factory stock. Just to narrow things down.

I9300(Intl.) CM11 wake lag

Hello everyone,
So i did a fresh install of CM11 (coming from stock 4.3) hoping it would solve the wake lag issues the stock rom had because it was really annoying having to wait 1-3 seconds for my phone to wake up.
I was surprised that almost nothing changed after the flashing CM11 (i admit there is a slight improvement but still not even close to what i expected).
Is anyone else having problems with wake lag?
Any help would be appreciated.
bump
anyone? i was thinking about flashing the boeffla kernel, would that help?
It's the deep sleep.

i know, i found some apps that kinda help but they are very unreliable(OS kills them of course). is there a more reliable way to solve this?

No, unless you want to eliminate deep sleep.

so even flashing a new kernel won't help?
i read that ZRAM might be causing the problem, but the option to disable ZRAM is gone in CM11.
Im using CM11 and I could say the wake lag is not that much! And it is not the same from time to time! But generally it wakes up almost immidiately... Im on the CM11 nightlies, clean install, and didnt change anything else!

I'm unaware if that decreases the magnitude of the issue, but you can't ever fix it, save for eliminating deep sleep on an exynos device.

well that sucks.
i also read that Yank555's kernel eliminates the lag, but it's only for 4.3.

Battery duration very limited

Unfortunately, especially after upgrading to Lollipop battery Samsung Galaxy Alpha G850F discharged very quickly and not know what to do :
I have:
1 ) disabled as much as possible ( when not in use ) and the BT GPS
2 ) tried to replace the original battery with a 2850mAh of ( so they say ) not original
3 ) tried to disable both S Voice that Google Now they say consume a lot
4 ) Reduced brightness and battery life activation screen in 15 sec .
The term does not arrive in the evening since it from the detachment at 8:30 in the morning, I get up at 17.30 scarce not use it to call , remaining in the wifi network but navigating virtually nothing .
I'm really confused and do not know what to do . If anyone has any advice and can help me or I know that sooner or later will change phone .
Thanks a lot

BEAST MODE ON = ALL FUNCTION ARE ON...I get one day of use at full max. So you are talking nonsense.

Absolutely not. Why troll? If someone can me say what could be the cause of this battery drain....I'll appreciate

Ok, first you need to do a factory reset. Backup your data before doing it.

Try GREENIFY.
Root + Xposed Framework + Greenify + Amplify can help you save a lot of battery.
My phone is using original battery with 0.8%/h battery drain at night time with mobile data and wifi always on.

It's possible, you can install Xposed on stock Touchwiz ROM.
Here is a nice guide -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-alpha/themes-apps/how-to-xposed-touchwiz-t3132193

Everything stay the same.
You can make a nandroid backup via custom recovery (TWRP) before doing some modification with your phone.
