Root & Recovery​
Thread here.
This method will trip Knox and therefore you will lose your warranty.
Of course if you don't want to root your phone and instead keep the custom TWRP recovery, just don't flash the SuperSU zip and you will be fine.
NOTE: I recommend using the latest flashable SuperSU zip instead of the one provided in the thread. That's an old version and it did not work for me.
If you want root without tripping Knox you will have to try tools like iRoot or KingRoot, but I can't confirm they will work 100%

Adm Team Custom Kernel​

Works on the A510F. Although it did work correctly for me and permissive mode was running, Viper4Android did not work. It's driver was correctly installed, but it had no effect. Things may be different for you though. Xposed worked for me.

Adoptable Storage Patch​
Thread here It does not appear to work with either the adm custom kernel or xposed. I had both installed and if you install this patch while you have xposed and the custom kernel your SD card will get corrupted!!! Install stock rom and stock kernel before you install this patch and it will work. Also make sure you have a fast SD card of the phone will lag a lot.

Works fine for compatible modules, haven't had any problems besides the possibility of it breaking adoptable storage support. Also make sure to download the marshmallow/lollopop arm version. Not arm64 or anything else.

I stick to the stock rom simply because it's the most stable one out there. The closed source nature of Exynos chips makes it difficult for developers to make good roms.

Hi! Since lolipop, many heavier apps have horrible lad and poor fps. Marshmellow has updated serveral times but continues. I have searched alot and tried many diferente tuts, but no luck downgrading my sm-a510f. I think the bootloader is locked and doesnt let you install older versions. Any clue on how to downgrade?

Enable OEM Unlock in Developer Options. This allows you to flash old firmware.

Nope. When flashing in odin it stops and the phone gives this error: SW REV. Check Fail Device 1. Binary 0 and doesnt flash. I can flash 6.0.1 versions though, just not 5.1.1

Stupid question, but is SView module installed on standard A5 2016 ROM ? I bought an officiel Samsung SView cover for 2017's version, and I'm trying to adapt it.
Anyone knows something about that ? If app not present, can someone give me app (from A5 2017 maybe ?) ?

I do not understand about the flash rom on android. But I hope there AOSP rom with standard Fiture google on my device. Because of my experience in the previous device sm-n900 with lineagea os very convenient. Sorry my poor English language. Of user sm-a510fd beginners.

There is one bug though when you go to check the status (sim status IMEI ...ETC) the sim gets disconnected and the process ' unfortunetly stops '
Just putting it out there..dont know Spanish so I cant report the bug to the dev , if any one can pass it on t him great :good:

I think there are no (big) ROMs for China models. (e.g. Arrived ROM is for China devices buggy.)
