HELLO GUYS THIS IS THE HARD GAMER
EVERYDAY I SEE ON THE FORUMS PEOPLE ASKING FOR KERNEL SETTINGS FOR BATTERY AND STUFF SO HERE IS A THREAD WHERE I WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUERIES AND HELP YOU
HERE BASICALLY I AM ADDRESSING PHANTOM REBORN AND SEMAR KERNEL PROFILES
AND USE KERNEL AUDITOR MOD[GOOLGE IT]
PHANTOM REBORN----------A KERNEL WHICH WE HAVE FROM VERY LONG TIME AND IS MAINTAINED BY @dev_harrsh1998
NOW THE PROFILES-
1]BATTERY------------------
CPU-1209MAX
200MIN
GOVERNER-ZZMOVE OR IMPULSE
HOTPLUG--INTELLIPLUG WITH ECO CONSERVATIVE OPTION
GPU-MAX 400
ADRENO IDLER ON
HEAD TO VIRTUAL MEMORY SECTION AND SET SWAPPINESS TO 20
HEAD TO MISC AND TURN OFF ANDROID LOGGING
SOME SETTINGS I HAVE NOT GIVEN DUE TO 1GB RAM MODELS
FOR PERFORMANCE ITS EASY TO SET SO I WONT GIVE THAT PROFILES
SEMAR KERNEL----BY MR.AW
BATTERY-----ALUCARD AS HOTPLUG AND GOVERNER
AND ALL OTHER SETTINGS SAME AS PHANTOM

maybe r9 and r10 has issues with stock and cm10(reboot while playing video).
Video works when camera disabled.
So,ZD is the only solution for stock based roms.

Well I got the problem, and it was due to high frequencies and there was no deep sleep in kernel.
Now ive switched to corphish's kernel which can be used in all roms and has deep sleep enabled. So there is no battery drainage now and not decrease ever 1% when screen is off :silly:

which kernel you're talking about?
Hello guys,
I'm a little confused on what kernel i should install on my phone.
I really want to know what do you think it would be the best option and why about the kernels available for Onyx running on LineageOS 14.1.
BR because simpler & really good balance with reactive governor.
actually i am satisfied with arsenic kernel and impulse gov
The settings are more importent as the kernel, try boeffla, arsenic or BR.
I you want to save some battery: use L Speed

That strongly depends on your usage pattern. But custom kernels are made to perform better than stock kernels. Every kernel has its own characteristics, some are performance biased and some biased towards battery savings. But for everyday usage I'd suggest a kernel which can balance both performance and power savings.
As far as kernels for mido which have MIUI support, I'd suggest Stormguard kernel as it is pretty well balanced.
But in the future if you plan on flashing a custom ROM then go for Franco or ElectraBlue kernel.

Tbh i don't think that miui should be used with a custom kernel, cuz the rom is already optimised. And the kernel in made to work efficiently, so in a word no tbh.
But mann why are you not trying out the custom roms if you are having an unlocked bootloader? I mean there lies a whole world of awesomeness and performance on the other side of rom world

Only because I have a problem with custom ROMs, but not with MIUI ROMs, where the phone goes into a bootloop, apparently from overheating. If I could solve that, I would certainly use custom ROMs.

If you want to like prevent overheating, then what you can do is like underclock the kernel. Setting the max frequency to something around 1.3 to 1.0 ghz will greatly help with the temps.

I like miui but I'm annoyed by the bug Wich causes the CPU to get stuck at 1689 MHz till I reboot.
I would like to flash a custom kernel to get rid of this or just find the fix.

This is a kernel, based on androidlover5842's kernel, which is based on CM11 kernel, which is based on Android kernel, which is based on linux kernel.
This is the same androidlover5842's kernel, compiled with much newer GCC 7
- GCC 7.3.0 (armv7-eabihf--musl--bleeding-edge)
- GPU overclock disabled because it will drain your battery
- read ahead restricted because you have low ram
- disabled a lot of cpu governors and hotpluggers because you have low ram
- disabled a lot of USB drivers, ext2/3 drivers, media drivers, debuggers, tracers, PS2, Keyboard drivers, PCMCIA drivers, modem drivers, GPU drivers, because you have low ram
- added MY hotplugger that will really DISABLE cores (you have 4) to save battery whenever possible, screen being ON or OFF
Faster overall system, no tweaks needed, just install via your recovery on top of any CM11-based ROM!

Zram disabled by default since this device has plenty of ram
Other fixes and tweaks
There have been many changes since first times I compiled and tested this kernel, so I can say its pretty stable, I didnt have any issue.
Note: For everyone who has reboot problems, adjust voltage by +10mV or more.
Instructions:
Option
For Carbon users:
Code:
fastboot flash boot syncedplus-carbon.img
For Omni users:
Code:
fastboot flash boot syncedplus-omni.img

This is the easy way.
Flash it with twrp, there is option to flash .img files. Flash it in boot partition.
Downloads:
Carbon kernel
Omni kernel
For rooting method I suggest using Magisk, and for kernel editor Kernel Adiutor(can see cpuquiet, dont know for other tools).
These are stable kernel versions, so if any of you find some issues feel free to write me.

Great kernel! I didn't notice any issues with carbon on android 8.
By the way I find your settings a little bit laggy why you don't switch to sio sequlder and interactive cpu governor? I find them more responsive and battery friendly

If no, its possible to do this kernel. Nice stats

Did you try flashing one of these versions ?
The only difference between this kernel versions is wifi location and maybe encryption(I forgot if there is big difference, as far as I remember there were problems when using the same boot.img for both roms), so if you flash omni kernel version on carbon rom, your wifi will not work and probably encryption. Try and see if it works, if not, just send me boot.img of resurection remix rom and I will fix it.

I know it's for Oreo and that img file I linked is rr oreo's boot.img. I meant carbon version by writing carbon v(not 5,etc). Really waiting to see the combination of your kernel and rr, cause i think the serious flaw with rr is its kernel. Btw, seems you're doing it faster than rom developers bro, I haven't seen any stable pie rom for z3 yet:fingers-crossed::good:

There is but not fully functional, I will just port kernel to it, and all is left to do is fix bugs in rom.
I have posted test version on discord https://discord.gg/krRBhje
Have tested it on Z2. It just makes the screen black. Until I restore my stock kernel.
Any possibility to port it to Z2 ?
