How to install xposed in latest update? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to install Xposed on my Z5c but after flashing the zip I get this error
Code:
02-02 05:20:23.067 E/Xposed ( 871): Cannot load any modules because /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list was not found
I already tried with material and non-material Xposed installer, but I got the same results. It says framework is installed but not active. How to activate it and get modules to work? Thanks

What do you mean with "latest update"? Actually latest update is Nougat v7.0 but sony removed the update currently.
If you are on and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based ROM then you can use Xposed because for Nougat v7.0 there is no Xposed available right now (and will not for long time)
After you flashed the zip you must reboot completely your Z5c smartphone and after that you can install new Modules for Xposed, but remember that each time you install a new module you need to activate it (using Xposed installer will help doing this) and you need also to reboot each time you install a new one to be loaded in memory.
I think this is the reason why you see that error.

I don't have Nougat. I'm still using Marshmellow 6.0.1 and by latest update I mean latest firmware version before Nougat. I have 32.2.A.5.11 and I already flashed Xposed framework and rebooted. This is not the first time I install Xposed but it's the first time I have this problem. It says Xposed is not active and Idk how to activate it and make modules work.

Ignore it and install a module. activate it and reboot.
If that doesn't help, tell us what files are inside /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/
Also which Kernel are you using?

There are no files inside that folder, also I'm using androplus kernel
EDIT: I installed YouTube Background Playback module and it's working, but Xposed Installer it's still showing that the framework is NOT active. Weird.

When I click on "Install/Update" : cp:can't create '/system/bin/app_process.orig':Read-only file system
What am I doing wrong? Also before I would go further , what should I use to backup my system?

Flash latest SuperSU from recovery and voila
Can you tell me briefly how to do that? I am kinda new I can follow steps easy, but have no idea how to flash from recovery. Please help me out.
Look for then ultra Z dual recovery flash files. It doesn't get any easier than that. It will root your phone and install two recoveries.
My phone already Rooted with easy Root v7.
I am reading instructions, and following everything and just getting error messages from any application I touched. I just want to get the Xposed framework to work, and I am not a developer, I have no idea what is going wrong. I tried to install the dual recovery and it doesn't want to do it, so please try to help me with this
When I try to run lockeddualrecovery with install.bat, It is an option
1.Installation on Rom rooted with SuperSU
2, Installation on Rom rooted with Superuser
3. Installation on unrooted rom using the towelroot method
4, install adb drivers to windows
5.exit
So mine rooted already with easy root v7, than what I have to chose ?
ERROR: more than one device and emulator
What does at mean????
Bluestack was running on my pc I did it!

Xposed

When I try to flash xposed framework sdk22 it says something like /0/downloads and then some more things. Help
Not enough info:
1) Are you bootloader unlocked and rooted?
2) Custom ROM or stock?
3) system write protection removed (by kernel mod)? I think this is required for xposed (also, a custom ROM should have this mod already implemented)
Sorry I didn't see your message till now but all the stuff is done after I flashed it for like the 20 time it worked

Ask the EpsilROM users (Magisk & xposed installing)

Hi. i have using the epsilrom 4.2 (G850S)
today, I succeeded in installing lastest magisk. but Xposed SDK 21 version(topjohnwu) does not boot when installed.
how about you guys? i have been used before xposed-v87.1-samsung-5.0.x-By-dkcldark.
Have you ever used it normally? Please solve it T_T
Same here, has anyone found a way to get systemless xposed in our device yet?
I found a way, I will write the process later here, just I'm from phone now.

So here the files:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4pltdlq1c9t8yyy/Magisk-v12.0.zip?dl=0
The xposed framework is based a mix of topjohnwu and dkcldark works.
Process:
Install Magisk Manager and flash the zip, and after that install Xposed Installer and flash the framework.
And the most important think:
Always make a backup before do anything.

Has anyone managed to successully install Xposed on this device?

Hello, I own a rooted HTC Desire 630 and I attempted to install Xposed Framework two times now, but both of my attempts failed miserably ( I got stuck at HTC boot screen, although I could access the recovery ) . So miserably that I had to relock the BL and flash the stock ROM. This is getting annoying, because I followed all the steps really carefully ( FROM HERE: bit(DOT)ly(SLASH)2oS8H1u ) and I used the correct ARM .zip file. Is there a software problem that doesn't allow this file to be flashed? Or do I have to use special Xposed files just like it's needed for Samsung?
I have to mention that I had unlocked BL, Superuser access and the latest TWRP beta made by @Captain_Throwback when doing the prcedure.
ANY HELP/FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED
1. Root your phone
2. Install Magisk manager apk
3. Flash Magisk from recovery
4. Flash systemless Xposed framework
5. Install Xposed manager apk (modified for systemless xposed framework)
6. Install modules you want/ need.
7. Done!

That seems pretty convincing. I'll try it myself and confirm if it works for me.
Oh, and one more thing: Substratum. It's practically unusable for this device. Once you enter and finish the initial setup, you are prompted to grant it multiple app permissions, aswell as Superuser permissions. As soon as I hit GRANT on the Superuser pop-up, the phone reboots itself and the whole app data is cleared. Is it just my device that's operating like this or is Substratum unsupported?
Wondering if I should create a new thread on this if the problem persists.

Doesn't seem to work for me, Magisk just wouldn't install. Flashed the .zip in TWRP (v12.0) but after the reboot Magisk is still not installed.
So, in conclusion, the question still remains and the thread still awaits valid replies on how to do it.

Use this twrp (TEST2) found on this link HERE, Install Magisk apk, flash the Magisk zip, search on XDA for SYSTEMLESS XPOSED FRAMEWORK on that thread you will find modified Xposed installer apk and ZIP file that you need to flash. While in recovery you can flash supersu zip, just google for that one. Aaaaaand you're done!

Well you installed the wrong xposed get an xposed Uninstaller put it on your sd card and flash it in xposed and you be good to go you need the wanam 87.1 xposed for the J3 emerge and if you want systemless xposed you got to lower your magisk to 15.3 and then flash wanam systemless xposed 87.3 (if you try to flash that systemless on a higher magisk you will get error 1 cause the template for that xposed sadly isn't getting updated) after its flashed wipe and your phone boots up you going to see that it's in your modules list then you can flash the new magisk (on magisk 19 and higher it will show that xposed is not installed but it is its just an error that the xposed material installer or regular installer isn't updated to perceive how magisk places modules in 19 and up but when you download modules or check your xposed modules it won't say xposed not installed so you be good hope this helps you)

I don't understand how you flash the Uninstaller zip for xposed and now twrp is saying you have no os installed as if you wiped the system partition if that is however your case I would suggest Odin your stock firmware and after it boots oem unlock again and flash twrp and then search for the proper xposed also root this time with magisk also are you flashing the decrypt zip to make your data partion accessible via twrp so you can do backups im surprised you didn't even have a twrp backup in place before even attempting to flash xposed

Well to change the color of the font you going to use ifont app and it has a xposed module with it that gives you the ability to use color fonts.... Now the process is simple your going to reflash the firmware for your phone to get it up and running... After your up and running your going to unlock develop options in the settings by going to about device and tying on your bulid Verison a couple of times and when your in them settings you going to make sure oem unlock is on, once you do that you going to flash twrp again and this time you going to download magisk and flash it the newest stable one to obtain your root after that you going to look for xposed Verison 87.1 special Samsung bulid by wannam and flash that wipe Dalvic and cache and reboot its going to take a little while but after that it's going to boot system optimize all your apps and then finally download or get it before the xposed material installer it's going to say xposed Verison 87.1 is active after that you can download the ifont app activate the module in xposed and proceed to change your color font...

There's also a systemless magisk for are device also however the template is old the trick to installing that would be 2 downgrading your magisk to 15.3 flashing the systemless xposed and then upgrading back to 19.2 however with the new magisk in my experience when you on 19 and higher and tru to downgrade magisk you lose root I think it's the new method Magisk is using in 19 + so since you already rooted with 19 + I suggest just flash the system xposed from the link I sent you only thing with that is with the system xposed you can't turn it off on the fly to regain safety net like you could with the systemless one

You got to go into system settings thru the file manager in twrp to the xposed folder and delete the module list file and your phone will boot up with no modules enabled
