hey There,
I have question, recently i flashed Nougat Rom on my c5 ultra dual, now it don't turn on anymore, only red light. Tried everything on the forum, no result but I still have warranty on my phone
if i can't start the phone, is it possible that the manufacturer also can't start the phone, or will they find out that i broke the warranty rules?
Because i want to send the phone for repair, but don't know if the will find that i broke the phone.
Please need answer

Hi, my phone was working just fine (i had Miri's HD2 v 19.0 and i think a 2.10 radio). Anyway, I also have a version of Android on my phone that didnt work right (the person on the other end had that robot voice). So I was told that to fix this problem I needed to change around the different ROMs to fix the Android problem. So tonight I flashed the stock ROM back on there (because I read that it's not good to go from cooked ROM to cooked ROM). It completed then just shut off. Nothing. All black screen with not even the light on top working. I just read through the thread below, and the battery is out right now and will stay out for a couple hours then i'll try to put it back in because it seemed to work for that guy. Any other suggestions? Thank you soooo much in advance for any help.
If I cant get it to work at all, it is still under warranty and I have insurance. (When you send your phone in and its under warranty, they send out a phone to you first, then when you get the phone, you send the defective phone back). So I could do that. But since it wont start I wont be able to get HSPL off of there before sending it back. Is everyone 100% sure that HSPL voids your warranty? If so, should I like break the screen or do some other damage to the phone before sending it in?
you havent yet mentioned what model hd2 it is and what stock rom you flashed, and whether you used usb or sd card to flash it, or which version of hspl it was, nothing of any use diagnostically
Its a T-Mobile phone, i used hspl 3 and i flashed through usb. The ROM that I tried to install was "RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship"
I hope this is what you need.
Hello all,
I got a Ray last week, unlocked it, rooted it, put MIUI rom on everything went fine.
However today, the screen suddenly stopped responding completely. I pulled the battery out, back in, nothing. I re-flashed the rom, nothing then re-flashed the stock rom still nothing at all.
I tried to relock (in case i have to send it back to my operator and also try the automatic push thing from blendmiui) the bootloader but i got a failure in flashtool.
I can t do anything with it and can not mount the SD card to put an other rom in it.
So basically now i got the stock rom which boots, the power and home buttons work, but that s pretty much it.
Does anyone have an idea ?
well that looks more like a hardware problem on the touch pannel, not related to ROM whatsoever.
Apart from sending it to repair ... I don't see any solution :-(
Aww that s what i was scared of ... Do you know by any chance if the warranty will take care of this ? Knowing that i unlocked the BL ?
Yes I think, you didn't brick your phone (software), if it's an hardware problem unlocked bootloader will not change anything concerning the warranty.
I am a complete n00b... I have a Samsung SGH-I897. I was trying to flash from Froyo to GB using odin. I did not root it (I guess I was thinking I didn't need to from stock to another stock fw). It's bricked. I bought a JIG, but nothing happens, just black screen. Please someone point me in the right direction.
Im not understanding your question, so you bricked your phone trying to lash a rom without root?
I didnt have it rooted. Tried flashing it. During the write of the fw it bricked from there. No response from the phone. now it wont do anything. Bought a jig and new batteries and still nothing. Button combo will not work either.
so you flashed a rom without your phone being rooted?
Bricked
Your phone is bricked because you didnt root it.i think you wont lost your warranty go to customer service and tell them that the phone is not booting..k?
It wasn't rooted. I bought the phone from an individual and use it with Straight Talk prepaid through walmart (unlimited talk, text, and web $45). The phone uses att towers so I am essentially getting att service. I doubt I could get it fixed under warranty? I was thinking about sending it off to someone who had a riff box to tag it. That will set me back 30 bucks, but if there is any chance that its covered under manufacturers warranty that would be the way to go. So I'm assuming jtag, warranty replacement, or replacement are my only options?
Replace it brother...that's better
Xperian8~ click thanks if it helps...
Hi,
I have a cracked screen, so I bought a bricked S2 off gumtree. I'm having a go at getting it to run again. So far all I know is that the previous owner was in the middle of flashing Odin, it said that the flash failed, and then he was unable to boot the phone any more. No powerup, no vol+home+power. No nothing.
The guy seems straight-up, I've no reason to suspect any more damage than reported. I've been in contact with him after the sale, and gave him a guilt-free opportunity to fess up in case he had done anything else.
I made a microUSB jig, and had a go with that, but no luck.
Is there anything else I can try?

Secondary question (if I can't get the new phone up and running) - changing over the screens: would I dismantle both phones and move the screen from the new brick to my phone? or would I move the motherboard from the old/cracked to the new?
are you sure that you made e good JIG
if not, buy one
if it doesn't help and doesn't boot at all....it's dead
Hey everyone! I recently transitioned from my old Sony Xperia E1 to this new phone. As a active tester and developer I of course decided to download a ROM for this phone (MIUI 8 I believe?) and it then decided to go in a softbrick (bootloop). Of course the normal solution would be to restore the stock firmware on it and be back to normal.
I found this thing online (which I had used before, and it most certainly worked) called SUGAR_QCT SP tool which allowed me to restore the firmware, but of course after installing all the drivers and doing all the steps, I couldnt get it working (I even tried at my friends house to no avail). I then decided to go online and look for a stock recovery and firmware, but me being stupid (and tired) I clicked on a VF Smart ULTRA 6 link for the recovery, flashed through TWRP... and you get the rest. So now I have a bootlooping, no recovery phone that sits there with a £10 case on it. Vodafone said try going to their store and they'll fix it but they will probably end up trying to charge me money :/ so in reality I don't wanna do that.
This phone has been sat on my desk for three months and I need a phone. Please, someone provide me with a fix ASAP! I am going to go online after I go to sleep and search more on how I can fix this - maybe, just maybe I can get it working on Windows 10.
Thanks in advance! I will give someone a highfive if they can fix my phone :highfive:
