Bootloop or not? - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, I need your help.
So, I just received a call with my phone while driving and after a while? I realize no activity. I check & see that it is stuck on the "your device software can't be checked for corruption"
If I remove the battery, put it back & connect the charger, it charges & shows charge progress.
I can get into the factory reset using hardware keys but I can't get to TWRP.
I removed the sdcard and everything seems to be intact without corruption.
There was this one time it got in for some few minutes then restarted to verification stage.
It doesn't overheat.
Bootloop or just maybe os/recovery failure??

well if it keeps doing it probably but if not idk. so mine i was browsing the internet with firefox then it randomly restarted it did not feel hot so i pulled the battery and restated it and every time it would get stuck at the device software can not be checked for corruption and would stay there for 2-3 min then restart and it would do it again. Thats how mine went into bootloop. i left it on for 1 hour and was able to get it to boot in android for 30 sec but then resarted and could no longer get in to os. i could only get it in fastboot and factory reset(which did nothing).

Mine started randomly rebooting a few weeks ago. I just exchanged mine the other day. I would advise you to try and backup any important data now if you can or get it off the phone. I like my v10 but I'm disappointed in LG for having such a widespread problem like this.

As nothing worked for me & LG was being difficult, I have dumped the phone for now (will probably resurrect it when the MoBo is available).
I purchased a Huawei Mate 9 four days ago and I'm very glad i did.
Thanks everyone.

[Q] Evo 3D doesn't turn on

Hey guys.
I have a problem with my HTC EVO 3D. I've been using it for a year and everything was fine until yesterday. I was playing Real Racing 3 when my phone suddenly restarted and then turned off before I could enter my PIN code and didn't boot up. I thought that it might have overheated or it was some crash or something, I put the phone to charging and it easily turned on (I must mention, that there were about 70% battery left). I charged my phone and didin't use it whole afternoon. In the evening, I was trying to unlock my phone (with about 70% of battery) when suddenly the same happened again - the phone restarted and before entering PIN code turned off at all. After that I wasn't able to boot my phone.
I tried charging it with original HTC AC charger and also using my laptop and even a car charger, but nothing changes.
When the phone is not plugged in to charging, it doesn't show any signs of being alive. I tried pressing volume down/up/camera buttons + power on button, taking off the battery for about an hour, charging the phone for ~6 hours. Nothing works.
However, I realised that when I connect the phone to my laptop, there is a 'new device is connected' sound, but I am not able to access my memory card or do something else. Also, when the phone is charging, the red charging light is on, which after a few hours turns to green and after some more time disappears at all. When trying to turn on the device while it is charging the red light disappears as soon as the power button is released ant comes back after about 20 seconds.
Sorry for such long story and for my bad English. I am very disappointed. I still have a warranty, but I dont want to take the phone there, because the fixing lasts at least 2-3 weeks and also since I'm unable to boot my phone, there are a lot of my personal information in it, such as passwords, messages, bookmarks and so on, left.
So, is there anything I could do or should I take my phone to service?
P.S. The phone is not rooted and never was. Everything is original and up to date.

Perhaps try a new battery or take it in and have them try one. Sounds like a battery issue.

Thanks. I took it to service. I hope they'll repair it.
I finally got my HTC back a few days ago. They changed the motherboard and I had to buy a new battery since the old one was dead and warranty for it was only a year.
But I've faced several unexpected crashes during these few days. I think 3 or maybe 4 times when I took the phone after not using it for couple of hours and tried to unlock it, the phone didn't unlock and instead turned on. I really don't like this, because if my phone turns off whenever it wants, I may be unreachable
Does anyone knows what that means and what should I do if this keeps happening?

This happens on stock rom?

Yes, the soft has always been and is stock.
Then it must be a hardware issue. If your warranty has not expired, take it to the warranty service.

Well as I said I dont want to take it there because it takes about three weeks or more till I get back my phone.. It would be the third time in two months and it really annoys me.
Couldn't this be software issue? I mean I've been reading some similiar threads and I found out that some app might be killing the phone. So I did hard reset yesterday and after that installed only well known essential apps (Google services and some others) and after that the phone didin't crash for almost two days. Unfortunately, it did turned off a few minutes ago. I've installed only 8 Ball Pool and Smart Keyboard Pro recently, so I will try unninstalling them both and let's hope the phone won't crash again. Is there any ideas what else may I do in case it doesn't work?

Id recommend doing a factory reset on the phone and not installing any app for at least a week to confirm its not a hardware issue, but I strongly believe it is. If it fails youll have to take it to a sprint store and hope the clerk is in a good mood and give you a new phone the same day.
try a new battery
The battery is new, I had to buy it only a week ago, because the service stated that the old one was dead.

[Q] GS4 will NOT turn on

My phone has been working fine for the last year and a half regarding hardware and battery. The device itself has never given me any issues and the hardware is in pristine condition. Roughly three months ago I bought a ZeroLemon battery and case and have been using that since. The battery is also in great condition (no warping or expanding) and the case still looks brand new. BUT today when I went to use my phone (about 20 minutes after I unplugged it) I noticed it was off, and it will not turn back on at all. It will load the splash screen (it's rooted and has Xposed framework installed) but after one or two seconds it shuts of immediately. Somehow I did get it to boot into TWRP and I was able to make a quick backup, disable Xposed, run a quick factory reset and fix permissions. I flashed Cyanogen M12 and I thought everything was working fine (I was running M12 before and have been running Cyanogen for as long as I can remember.) but after 5-10 minutes the phone randomly shut off again. I have looked into this issue all day now and everyone that has had a similar problem has had battery issues. I have tried 4 different STOCK batteries today, as well as my ZeroLemon one and nothing has gotten it past the splash screen again. I am almost certain this is NOT a hardware issue but I have no idea what would cause it in the terms of software, since I haven't changed anything recently. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know. I'm looking for immediate fixes right now, so sending it back in or getting a new phone are secondary options. If you have advice just let me know in a comment or PM me, thanks guys!
Edit: At this point I can't do anything, ie: enter recovery, get the splash screen, enter odin (anything) it's like the battery is dead but the same exact battery works just fine in my friends phone.
Have you tried downloading the MDK full wipe tar, flashing it with odin, and using loki to root and bypass bootloader again?
So it turns out - after I took it apart - it has a defective power button. The actual piece that is soldered on. I don't know how to go about fixing it from here
Kind of strange but my device did the same thing today. I have tried multiple batteries with no luck. Will boot but then turn off before it reaches the boot animation. When I try to enter recovery or download mode it does the same thing.
Have either of y'all found a fix yet? My phone has the same issue (turning itself off after about 2-3 seconds after the boot animation begins).

LG L9 P769 Wont Boot up?

My lg l9 wont boot up all the way. I believe it is fully up as i can feel the vibrating that happens after a media scan and i can hear the phone receiving notifications of some sort but the carrier (Metro PCS) screen constantly up!?
Things Ive tried:
Taking out the battery
Fully draining then fully recharging the battery
Taking out the SD and sim card
Leaving the battery sit outside the phone for about an hour then back in the phone
Using a new battery (The one I was using when it started having problems id only about 6 months old although I've had the phone for about 2 years now. )
I am willing to try anything but a hard reset as I do not want to lose anything on my device
Please Help
Edit: 10 min later: Talked to a "phone guy" who attempted the hard reset and said that the ROM prompts never even showed up. Says there's nothing I can do but get a new phone. I refuse to accept that XD
Edit 2: 20 min later: I tried the reset and saw the android thing and now its flashing on the metro PCS screen
Edit 3: 27 minutes later: The flashing stopped. Now the bottom keys are lit and the screen backlit but not displaying anything

I think I had this issue before actually. But it was a long time ago and Ive forgotten how I fixed it. Step one though is to try and use the LG Mobile support tool or KDZ flashing your choice.

One week old LG G5, dead?

I got an LG G5 from TMobile about a week ago, and have been having nothing but problems. The first few days seemed okay, but then it started getting really warm, freezing and crashing a lot. I reset the cache and that seemed to help for a day or so, but I just now woke up to a green screen and tiny text on the phone. I couldn't read any of it (don't have a magnifying glass handy) and the phone was unresponsive.
I pulled the battery, now the phone won't even turn on. I can feel it vibrate once when I press the power button, but nothing else. If I plug it in I won't even get the battery charge icon or anything.
Any ideas? I'm thinking of just getting it replaced tomorrow.
It seems to have come back. Not sure what I did, but after many battery removals and plugging / unplugging it finally decided to come alove. Reboot about 10 times and now it's back.
Strange.
It started crashing and freezing again. Ended up getting it replaced at t-mobile.

Yeah when the device starts acting up like that it's better to get it replaced fast instead of waiting to see if it resolves itself

Any trouble with your new device as of yet? Did they tell you the cause of the problems?

Reboot while charging

I have two V60s on A11 and noticed for the past two nights one of them will reboot while charging. Only way I notice is because I have to use my PIN in morning to login in instead of fingerprint and one app indicates a restart. This is a replacement V60 that I have had for two days.
Any thoughts?
Are you sure that it's a reboot? I noticed that if I leave my phone idle for a couple of hours (not sure how many, maybe 4 or more?), some kind of security kicks in requiring that I enter my pattern instead of using the fingerprint reader. Pretty sure this has happened both on Android 10 and Android 11. I don't commonly leave my phone idle for 4+ hours during the day, but it has happened just enough for me to notice it. And it definitely wasn't a case of the phone just randomly rebooting itself on me in the middle of the day. THAT, I would have noticed.
Positive it is a reboot. I actually saw it happen this morning. Phone will just shut off and T-Mobile reboot splash screen comes on. I think it is not related to fingerprint reader bug as I have disabled the fingerprint reader on my lock screen/AOD.
Actually been noticing it happens now even when the phone is not charging. I wish there was a way to see which app is causing the problem or get some kind of log to know what is going on.
Hmmm, other than trying to isolate which app is causing the problem, I'd probably suggest a factory reset.
I actually removed all apps and left with factory defaults and it still rebooted during a charge. I have sent the phone back and awaiting a replacement. (This one was the 2nd year promise replacement for a dying G8)
I had to ship the phone back and get a replacement. Everything I tried did not work to stop reboot while charging.
My LG started to freeze, then reboot several times a day, while in use as well as overnight. Sometimes boot loops directly after the logo, so not OS or app related, also without SIM or SD. I had the battery changed (still in warranty), but that behavior continued. So I got a replacement phone yesterday, since it was obviously a hardware issue (I guess it is a RAM failure).
