I create folders on my home screen and place app shortcuts inside them. I notice they disappear without rhyme nor reason. I don't have an SD card installed. Any ideas? Using stock launcher.

Hey I have a new razr maxx, and it is rooted. I cant seem to move the apps icon that is on the home sceen. I can move and change all other apps on the home screen except for the apps one. Any clues?
Thanks
Well, yeah, you can't remove the app drawer icon. Use a third party launcher replacement if you want to do that. No stock launchers for any phone I've come across allowed you to remove the app drawer shortcut.

You can remove app drawer icon in Go Launcher EX.
I moved those apps to my SD Card.
And when I reboot it, the shortcuts disappear.
Is there a way to not make them disappear? (Please don't suggest moving them back to phone memory.)
I have Xperia Active.
Any help?
What launcher are you using?did you root your phone?

Stock Timescape Launcher.
And, yes. I'm rooted.
Use another great launcher.
Just thought I'd share a bit of personal experience.
Those of you who have root access in there devices may have noticed icons missing on there home screens. If you are wondering why this is due to using Titanium Backup to move apps to the SD card. This only happens with certain apps, usually only the ones that can't be moved from the devices settings. To fix this simply move said apps back to internal storage and all will be well.

Other "move 2 sd" apk
Not just Titanium,i use Link2SD and it's the same,or force apk not 2 work,or widgets,just restore apk 2 phone.
BTW some task killers 2 can force widgets not to work 2.
I haven't had much experience with other apps like Titanium cos I'm very new to smartphones and my Arc is the first REAL smartphone I've had. Thanks for your info. I really have so much to learn.

lost icons found
The homescreen loads before your SD card. To get your icons back;
go to SETTINGS...select ALL
select the launcher (in my case SENSE) and force close.
The launcher will restart and all your lost icons should reload properly.
i am having this trouble too
haha didnt knew what to do thnx guys.

Why do apps move to sdcard icon disappear from home screen after restarting?

Just tried this and they do disappear from the home screen after a restart. This has only happened since the OTA update.
Anyone know a fix apart from moving the app back to the phone?

Hi all,
Just wondering g if anyone can help.
For some reason yesterday my gallery started showing all homescreen apps as folders in the gallery. They all appear as single folders with 1 image, the app icon image. So now instead of the 2 or 3 folders I used to have I know have about 80!
Does anyone know how to fix this or what's caused it?
I'm using nova launcher pro if that makes a difference.

Its not really a fix but more a work around:
Download quickpic from the market and highlight the folders and select "hide" then they won't be visible in the normal gallery I think you can uninstall quickpic once they're hidden

Does it happen only with homescreen apps? I don't know nova launcher, maybe it keeps a cache with the images of homescreen apps.
Otherwise, do as indicated in the previous post, i've yet to find a better gallery than quickpick.
