I did everything correctly to flash this recovery image, but ended up with lots of errors. After flashing the image and restarting the device, it start saying "touchwiz is stopped", "google play services has stopped", and lots of other apps similar errors. Even, these error won't allow me to use the device, and I just recovered after flashing the stock ROM again. What is it? Why is it happened!

I have the A520W also. I want to install TWRP, but there isn't one specifically available for the A520W. So you're saying that the A520F TWRP doesn't work on the W variant?

It doesn't work. But if you only want to gain root, you can flash A520F twrp and use sideload function as I mentioned.
You can go into advanced on twrp and rebuild partitions to I thinks it's 2 then that will unlock them...

1) Install whatever drivers make you happy and make your device connect (i would suggest samsung ones).
2) Reboot your device in download mode you can use adb reboot download or the hardware key combo for your device.
3) Load up Odin and uncheck auto-reboot.
4) Click PDA and select the CWM tar you downloaded.
5) Connect your device in download mode.
6) Click start.
7) When its finished disconnect your device, pull the battery out.
8) Reinsert the battery and use the hardware keys for your device to power directly into recovery mode (this will bypass install-recovery.sh if you are stock).
9) Enjoy having a custom recovery.
To root simply grab this zip file http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu copy it to your device and flash it in recovery. Reboto and load up supersu, have it disable knox then reboot into recovery and reflash supersu and youll be rooted.

Hello everyone !
I'm a normal user of P9plus(AL10) and using the EMUI5.0 (Android 7.0)
Firstly I am looking forward to getting matchable TWRP here but failed , so I turned to other forums and get up the nerve to use TWRP for the Honor 8 . Yes,it works ! and then,i rooted my AL-10 !
Here is the thread

I didn't patch boot because I was afraid that would made my phone goes bad .As a result,my root is not complete.
By the way ,the new TWRP 3.0.3 for Honor 8 by the same person doesn't work on our P9plus ,I have tried it:crying:
I hope that there would have official/unofficial TWRP correctly for P9plus!
Works on L09 too i used the phh su. it works for me

Unblock the bootloader as we do in EMUI 4.X , then flash TWRP with adb or other tools , there are so many guides in XDA or other websites. Then we could boot into recovery and flash superuser to root our device.
All we do it as before , except the different recovery.i mg .
The unpleasant place is that the recovery can not mount /data , and we should mount /sdcard ourselves. The new update seems to repair this but we ,p9plus couldn't use it. :crying:
As I said before ,the root is not complete, sometimes I can't do chages to system files.
Good stuff! I see Titanium works and Greenify works under the root mode, Secure Settings is able to install the system module as well.
Just so that everyone is clear, the TWRP flash is here: https://mega.nz/#!foR2DTRa!XjXjOVl4ykYzm3iyBknwFkxugj9z8zxch3mU1O7F7GE, data and system partitions can't be mounted properly on this version of TWRP but at least you can boot into it.
And you have to use the phh's SuperSu: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/wip-selinux-capable-superuser-t3216394, the regular Supersu doesn't work (lead to device reboot).
Is anyone able to flash anything using the twrp though? This is the only thing that would seem to help me.

not sure that would work because the problem with 7.0 and emui 5 is that it encrypts the /data partition.

Suspicious istaller which gave some warning in avast but I extracted the whole thing and did find stock and cwm recovery in there, together with supersu, adb and Odin..
Unpacked the ramdisk in recovery.img (cwm) and can comfirm that they are for A5 / A7.
Don't know why title says A750 when it should be A720.
From default.prop in A7 cwm
Code:

Unfortunatly I can't test any of them since I'm sitting with a A3 (2016) ,but recovery.img's seem to be ok. Don't know about installer..

Hello,
I've tried to unlock my SM-J7108 with this method (ant it's not the first one that I tried) but after run i run Odin it tells me in the phone:
"Installation Failure
You need to unlock your device to install a custom OS"
I've changed the options in the phone to developer mode, enabled USB debugging and unlocked factory protection.
How can I unlock it? I don't have the google apps and I'm desperate to put another rom.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I have not correctly asked a question. J7108ZHU2BRA2 is an updating of an insertion of the manufacturer (android 6.01). The specified reference interesting. Whether it will be possible to return if necessary on android 6.01?
Hello, I flashed the twrp, Odin said that it succeeded, but when run recovery mode, there's no TWRP, a phone still goes into old, factory recovery mode. Is there any way to fix that?

Hello friend. It seems you too facing the same issue I wasted my weekend on. Have tried various tricks but after failing all did windows oS changed. Give it a try but before that you can try these options and if you succeed its worth saving your time.
1. Open device manager- Go to drivers- Uninstall Portable Devices MTP driver- Refresh to re-install.
2. Open device manager- update driver of portable devices
3. Re-Install samsung usb driver manually.
You can find details step in you tube for solutions to mtp device installation failed.
IF NON OF THESE WORK FOR YOU CHANGE THE OS on your pc. AS earlier I was on win7 Ultimate now changed to win7 Professional. Don't know how but it worked for after all day wasted trying all possible solutions.

Hi,
When I click on "Select Recovery Image" I only get a white screen and the back arrow. It doesn't show any option to select or browse files
Anything wrong on my part?

You have to copy your image to the internal sdcard folder and then you will see the file

IDK
I did not use this method for flashing the TWRP recovery.
I used an extgernal sd card and placed the recovery image in there with name recovery.img.
Then turned on box pressing reset button and it went to the card recovery. Don't know if that will work for your box thouh

Works on other boxes but not this 1, it's like it's unable to boot into twrp. Out of ideas lol
Probably a silly questions like...does this require root?
I install recovery through terminal emulation.
1. su
2. dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/recovery
To log in to recovery
3. reboot recovery
