Hello, I recently bought a Zopo Hero 2 device and It is android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, MTK6737. I want to root it as My previous phone, I rooted it and I enjoy root access.
I have tried all one Click root tools/app and none of them works. I read somewhere that I have to flash CWM or TWRP and then Flash Chainfire's SU.zip (Systemless root) to root it.
My problem is, I can't create a Custom recovery as I have little or no Knowledge of android development. Also I don't know how to use SP flash tool (That's If I can get the Custom recovery for my phone)
Please someone should help me

I want to flash stock firmware which I have downloaded from Huawei Russia website but my CWM recovery is not recognizing it and update fails. Any suggestions?
Can anybody help me?

I think both bootloader unlocking and device should be rooted to install/flash CWM or relative app/soft. After that, i am sure installing CWM is not a big problem. Search forum for CWM installation, I'm sure you will find solution.

By the way, this post was very old. Now I have resolved the issue after googling. Obviously one must have root privileges to install a custom recovery. Luckily Huawei Bootloader is unlocked so no need to worry about it. I had used FRAMA ROOT apk in order to root my Y511-U30. You can find its thread on XDA. For installing a CWM recovery I used its CWM img file in a Chinese apk called Mobile Uncle Tools. With that aok you can easily install flash CWM recovery and flash custom Roms which are many which you can find over internet.
If anybody needs any help regarding Y511-U30, please send a PM to me.
Regards.

I got the 5.0.2 rom , but need to know whole process step by step from how to install custom recovery to how to flash custom rom , please help
KingRoot works with LP Official ROM but we can't flash custom recovery. That's automatically replaced by stock one.
As far as I know, Kingroot is the only way to root a Wiko Ridge 4G with the latest 5.0.2 official rom.
Unfortunately, Kingroot is a very very bad malware/adware/virus, as explained here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/kingroot-malware-adware-root-t3563090/
To avoid having an infected phone, you can try this:
Install kingroot, root your phone
While rooted, install Flashify, and flash TWRP as a new recovery ( available here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-touch-recovery-t3548083 )
Boot into recovery (turn off, then turn on with vol-up+power)
Completely erase your whole system (important since it is deeply infected by Kingroot at this point)
Install new ROM using TWRP. You can pick one rom from XDA ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/wiko-ridge-fab ), or try to find a usable image of the stock rom.
Install SuperSU atop your new ROM using TWRP (available here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/guide-root-install-custom-recovery-t3157123 )
Hi,
can someone please help me to root the AC55COP android phone? Its running android 5.1, kernel 3.10.65+.
I would like to install any (rooted) OS, may it be android or something else would be perfect.
I tried different methods and spend a lot of time researching, but no result until now.
thanks a lot!

Hi,
I have the same phone and the same problem.
I tried almost all the apps to root but I haven't test Magisk to root the phone. If you don't know it's flashable zip which can root any phone. But there is another problem to flash the zip we need TWRP.
Can you try to flash the zip Magisk with the stock recovery with ADB sideload ?
Cause I can't. I tried to flash a twrp for the Archos 50 cobalt (same hardware) but it doesn't work
I hope it was helpful. Thanks if you can try.
It's a phone sold only in mexico it seems, network unlocked, bootloader unlocked, dual sim. Here are the phone specs:

I want to have root acces and a custom recovery obviously, but there is no official custom recovery (TWRP nor CWM), and, for tools like Easy Magic TWRP Installer to work is neccesary to have root acces. I've tried tools like Kingo Root, but it did't work, and most methods to have root in these cases is to flash supersu.zip through twrp or cwm. I've tried to port a recovery for mt6580 using a method like this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-twrp-3-0-x-mediatek-devices-t3379681 , flashed it but didn't work and stock recovery is still there. I have a stock rom [URL="https://www.needrom.com/download/zuum-sirius-coppel[/URL], and TWRP's official compilation guide says that I need certain BoardConfig.mk file, which I can't find anywhere in the uncompressed stock recovery. Does somebody knows if yuweng's script for compiling twrp with bbqlinux works without root?
Thanks in advance , help of any kind is welcome
Hello guys, I have a question about installing root and recovery. As people write, rooting and installing recovery seems too complicated but I have 2 questions about it: to use kingo root you should downgrade to 5.0/4.4 right? So if I get root using kingo root on that software version and then flash twrp using flashify, will it still be fully functional even if I unroot my device in the future?
