Hello guys, I have a question about installing root and recovery. As people write, rooting and installing recovery seems too complicated but I have 2 questions about it: to use kingo root you should downgrade to 5.0/4.4 right? So if I get root using kingo root on that software version and then flash twrp using flashify, will it still be fully functional even if I unroot my device in the future?

Sorry about the newbie questions but this is my first HTC. In order to flash the Xposed installer does the bootloader need to be unlocked or is rooting the phone enough?
Also, once the phone is rooted can I flash the Xposed installer using the stock recovery or do I need to use a custom recovery? Thanks.
Device needs root and the Xposed can be install from custom recovery or apk installation. Stock recovery can't flash custom rom or basically anything other then stock ota.

Thanks. So can I root using TowelRoot or one of the other methods without unlocking the bootloader or is unlocking the bootloader necessary before I root?
Depends on hboot version. If you have newer hboot, weaksauce will temp root & firewater will soft. Older version needs romrunner. Guide out there
So, here I'm stuck with the z3v after my 6plus sold to my uncle. Running E.44 and the root method seem not working, I already install the king root and can't replace with the superSu, keep saying "fail to update, reboot"... and trying to degrade firmware and the flash tool keep said "can't reconize device, check the driver....." Saw topic with instruction to kkng root temperary and "dual recovery" what's the dual recovery is it?
Is it possible that verizon will open bootloader for z3v??
install kingoroot and then recovery and then install prerooted firmware through recovery
no need to unlock boot loader... it's direct method

Follow my guide as worded. You've done the first step in rooting it with Kingroot. Now you need to use the dual recovery installer to install the custom Android recovery, TWRP. Then you flash my prerooted Lollipop.
Hi Guys
Just got a used VZW G3, it currently has software version VS98512B. I am confused if I need to restore it to an earlier version or if there is a way to root and flash the latest recovery to start flashing a debloated rom?
I know the previous owner had rooted before and the recovery does say modified but I think it is all the stock recovery now as I could not get into TWRP or anything.
What should I be doing to avoid bricking lol
It does tell me a software update is available but I keep canceling
Thanks
Check with app root checker and if not rooted then use king root for rooting and flashify for latest recovery TWRP 2.8.7.0
Hello, I recently bought a Zopo Hero 2 device and It is android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, MTK6737. I want to root it as My previous phone, I rooted it and I enjoy root access.
I have tried all one Click root tools/app and none of them works. I read somewhere that I have to flash CWM or TWRP and then Flash Chainfire's SU.zip (Systemless root) to root it.
My problem is, I can't create a Custom recovery as I have little or no Knowledge of android development. Also I don't know how to use SP flash tool (That's If I can get the Custom recovery for my phone)
Please someone should help me
