For me, it's Resurrection Remix (Stable 2). In Bluetoothsettings directly sometimes it won't set on or off, but in Quicksettings all works fine and Bluetooth do what it should do

Talk about frustrating! I've had Nougat running for most of the day, and I'm liking it that much I'm considering not rooting it, and then my Honda hands free will not connect. It connects happily to a Parrot hands free, and I've never had a problem with the Honda before, so I'm blaming the new stock rom.
Did you try deleting the phone in the car unit and starting the pairing process all over from the scratch? Because a "sort of known" Phone caused problems in my car, too.

I have snooped around for a while in the development part of this forum, but it seems like either A2DP is listed as non working, or it's just not mentioned. Are there any KitKat ROMs with it working? I would like to upgrade my wife's phone to something better than the last official ROM, and I'm very satisfied with KitKat on my own devices, but she uses her phone in her car to play music through the BT enabled stereo, so it needs A2DP. If none are working now, is there a chance to get something that's working with A2DP in the near future?

There is not KitKat ROM with working A2DP. It will be fix but not in the near future.
OK, thanks a lot! Then I won't have to look in vain. Any idea how far that future is?

Hi,
percy wrote in his thread, that he's working on A2DP,wifi direct and other stuff and only problem will remain FM radio. But he also wrote that he's now busy with studies till 10th of april or so. After then he will release new kernel with dual recovery and maybe weekly 5 release ...
OK, then I'll wait a month or so for that. Thanks!

Some, or maybe all, CM KitKat ROMS use Bluez for Bluethooth. At present, bluetooth is working fully on these roms, except music streaming through A2DP. Exactly what you need.
I assume it'll be fixed in next release of Bleuz, which will be version 5.17 (yo can follow this on www.bluez.org). A week after the release of this version from Bluez - we'll most probably have the first KitKat Roms with bluethooth fully operational.

Your only solution but you have to wait some weeks!
Thanks, mate! Thread subscribed. I'm sure my wife can wait a few weeks, especially since I haven't told her about it yet. Much easier to tell her "time to update your phone, honey" than "in a few weeks or months it may be possible to update your phone, honey".

Hahaha you are always welcomed! You did the best thing :good:
@Mastiff
Go to bluez.org
All KitKat roms on this forum use it as their Bluetooth stack. When they list a2dp as working it will work.
Thanks! But according to them, on the 11th of March:
"On the Android side by far the biggest feature addition is full support for A2DP 1.3 and AVRCP 1.5. Several other profiles, such as HFP and GATT have continued receiving a fair amount of patches as well, but they are not considered complete yet."
So that should mean that it's already working and has done so for almost a month. Or do I misunderstand it?
Our plaform is tricky. Is not enought BlueZ support (they work on Nexus devices) we need adapt our platform to BlueZ, because old Sony code is deprecated
OK, thanks. A bit more complicated than Hamza thought, then. Well, I'll probably just have to wait a bit longer.
Any news after 2 months?

Yeah, one month ago I got tired of waiting and bought an Xperia Z1 Compact for my wife... She actually took to the size quite easily, I thought it would be too big for her, but I guess the P had sort of primed her for it. Unlike the the P om it's final stock ROM the Z1 Compact on KitKat is very stable.
Hi,
I have purchased an MHL cable so when I transfer movies onto my phone I can watch at the girlfriends house however whenever using this rom, it does not work, and all i get is no signal, I tried on a mates phone and it worked perfectly, however he did not have the SOKP rom.
Is there a way to make it work on this rom (as it has the best battery life for me) or do I need to ask the developer? (not enough posts yet)

I just received my LeEco Le Max 2 today. I set it up and found two problems for this phone: 1. the sim2 can not collect to data, only voice, as shown in the attached screenshot. I tried different SIMs (AT&T, T-Mobile), but always the same. 2. The wifi has problem: every time I leave my house for some time, the wifi could not connect after I return home. I have to input the wifi password again to get connected. It seems that it can not remember my wifi. I tried in my friend's house, it is the same. The installed ROM is 5.8.016S (Stable). I am wondering if other people have the same problems and if there is any solution without flashing other ROMs. Thanks a lot.

not sure about this phone but on zenfone 2, data connection is only possible in sim 1, on others phones sim 1 islas for 4g and sim 2 only works in 3G. Looking at the screenshot it looks normal, and I don't think it is a bug.
And for the wifi issue you could try doing a factory reset from the option in settings or flash a newer firmware
Enviado desde mi ASUS_Z00TD mediante Tapatalk
You should check your Apn settings, i got simillar problem where i have to change some settings in apn for mobile data to work.
i can tell that data connection works on both sim slots but only one at a time.
apn could be it...

Thanks for all the responses. I did check the APN setting for sim2 to make sure it is correct, but it still does not work. The selection for data sim is always grayed out. I tried several different sim cards, and also tried to swapped the sims, no help, only SIM1 can have data. Not sure it is the firmware issue or something else.
Hello. I have no idea but your rom version is very old. Hard to discuss but I can not remember the problems like yours. See your settings maybe someone changed them to non standard.

This phone a big disappointment. There are so many issues for this phone: 1. the sim2 can not connect data as claimed . 2. It can not remember wifi. 3. Last night, the phone battery is dead, "System Service" used 90% of the battery in 5 hours. Not sure what it is. 4. The worst, the fingerprint worked for less than a day, now, it is totally dead. No more response from the fp sensor anymore.
Factory reset does not solve any of these problems.
I may try other firmware, and hopefully some firmware could fix some of these problems.
the dead fingerprint sensor is a widespread issue.
thank you qualcom!
try resurrection remix or aokp.
rr works great for me.
if you want to try out different roms i suggest you use multirom by andr68rus.

I rooted and installed Lineage 13.1. Now it fixed the sim2 and wift problems, but the fingerprint sensor still does not work. Will try other ROM to see if there is any luck.

. I have the same problem with the "default" data connections sim which is very bad for a dual sim and also another also important problem (for a dual sim phone): that i can't disable just once of the two sim crads. Generally i'm satisfied with the original "firmware" but i believe that these are two very important issuses and i'd appreciate any solution except installing a new rom

I noticed fp works much better on stock based roms than on aokp roms plus battery seems to last longer.

maybe you dont even have the "original" firmware, are you sure it is not a shop rom? (because official roms at least run smoothly)
try installing official rom if you dont like custom roms

Which one do you use or you found out that has no problems?
You're on AT&T, so I imagine Wifi Calling isn't important. I'd try one of the AOKP roms.
And it's fairly well known that the US 16s rom only supports data on SIM 1 (WiFi Calling as well). SIM2 on that rom is strictly 3G voice. As for the WiFi issues, I can't say. Never had that issue with the US 16s on my X820 phone. If you disable wifi hunting, and are within good range of a tower, battery life is pretty good with that one, and it's not terrible.

Stock ROM, and I would recommend Chinese 020s. It doesn't have play store but you can easily manage that.
Now I'm on Miui8 by CrisBalGreece and it's nice to have something different. I also used CM13 by UmbrellaTeam, was a good one. And for sure the official ROMs that are supported by developers in the development section are good (I'm talking about MM ROMs).
I settled down with CuoCu92 rom which works very well except the dead fp sensor. Now I kind of like this phone much more than the first day I got it. If the fp sensor could work, then it would be perfect.
Install official s21 Chinese. It's the best and newest no bugs.
S16 is very bad and old.
I just byed lemax2 i have a problame with my phone data connect still connecting but showing data connection is off what i do for it

This isn't the bug you are thinking of.
The bug you have is related to dual sim.
Right now on oreo you can only make a call to the sim you are currently using data with. It is a separate bug.

hello,
thanks for your answer, then i didn't understand what the fix was made for.
Do we know already when the bug i am talking about will be fix roughly ? It is pretty annoying because the rest of the ROM works really good ...
Can anyone confirm if the OP's fix (Kernel and Mixer.zip) works for fixing the call bug? I previously tested a few of the common Oreo builds on my A2017U and ran into the 'call bug' with just about every build. It happened to me most often with incoming calls where I had to turn the speaker on and off to workaround it. I just finished flashing my Axon 7 or I would test this myself.

No one seems to be able to fix it. All you can do is pray there is an official release from ZTE and someone is able to source a fix then. I have same problem as you and I hate it but there is nothing that can be done. Best to assume there will be no fix.

As far as i know, the A2017G was supposed to get an official Oreo rom by end of this month, should arrive quite soon. The thing is that A2017 from China already have an official Oreo Rom, and i don't think these 2 phones have such different hardware component in it, don't you think ?

Yes but it's not really easy for someone to use the phone in Chinese and see if these bugs are there. If there is any chance of them being solved having an official English release will help more than an unofficial Chinese one.
With things to do with mobile networking this is even more the case which the dual sim bug is probably related to. (There are different basebands that the U & G models work with for example).

So i'm currently using kenzo as my main device. I had RR Pie installed until I came across this very annoying bug. I use a bluetooth headset for almost 4-5 hours everyday. It all worked fine until I noticed that calling using the headset was impossible. There is a sound like a machine gun is being fired in the background. It makes my phone obsolete.
I thought this was a bug on RR so I changed to Pixel Exp. and the same thing is happening. Couldn't find a solution on the internet but found a person who posted on the RN3 forum here :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/help/call-bluetooth-audio-problem-oreo-pie-t3836462
According to this guy, the bug is present in the oreo and pie roms. I haven't confirmed this myself. I am still downloading the stock rom to test it out. I guess it has something to do with the bluetooth modem. I will keep you guys posted on this. I hope someone replies to this.
