Hi all,
I can't seem to find, at all, the firmware build number for my Xperia X after I update it to 7.1.1 through Concept. I believe it should be (34.2.A.0.273) but I can't find it properly stated anywhere in the "About phone" section of the settings.
This seems like a really stupid thing but I don't want to do anything on this phone (root, drm fix, etc) before being absolutely what's my firmware, could anyone lend a hand?
Thanks

Hi there, good afternoon.
This might be already answered, but I just wanted to be sure if it's possible or not.
I've recently bought an X10 Mini Pro, and updated it to 2.1, but it still doesn't look like I want it too, so I was wondering this...
Is it possible to take the OS off from this phone, trim/clean it, and put it back to the phone as I want it without all the junk and with the apps I really want on it?
If this is possible and has been answered many times then I'm sorry to ask again, please just point me in the right direction/post and I won't bother you all no more, many thanks
Well you cant take the ROM of yet etc... but you can use root explorer to delete the stock apps that you don't want.. [Need Root]
Check these links out:

Read carefully, hope this helps.

Hi there,
Well, that will be much easier that what I had in mind
Thanks for the links, I've had a quick look at them and they are quite interesting, only 2 questions pop up in my head now...
Will I be able to update my phone with future updates if I root it?
If I root it, can I get rid of the stock launcher forever and use something like Launcher Pro or Helix instead?
Thanks for the answers
Yes and yes
i do what the peopples are telling you , with very pretty results, but i just dont delete the apps, i replace them with other apks, example semchome.apk (default se launcher) with the helix apk (saved as semchome.apk) the same with the keyboard (save keyboard pro apk as se keyboard apk), and eventualy really remove useless stuff like se play now and games demos... its pretty similar to a clean rom now, regards

Well, many thanks to you all for the info, appreciated.
I'll start immediately reading on how to root the phone, I hope is not too complicated to do
Or you can just change your phone to a Spanish generic build (you probably have a Vodafone one), update via SEUS and you should have a clean phone.
The one advantage of this is that if there are future updates, and you use SEUS to get up to date you will not have the junk installed on your phone.
Regards.
Hi there,
How do I know what build do I have? I bought this phone new from eBay, and it was supposed to be locked to T-Mobile, although it came unlocked and without anything from T-Mobile in it, or nothing I can see anyway
I don't see any application apart from the basic Sony ones, and a couple of games, but nothing that tells me this phone is from T-Mobile... it'd be great if I could know somehow the build it's in it, so I can check if I could get a cleaner one
Thanks.
Hello,
I just purchased a Galaxy S II, model SHW-M250S. However, I do not think it came with the voice talk software. Does anyone know why that would be? Any way to add it to the phone (other than vlingo from the app store) I have been trying to figure it out online for a little bit now so I am posing the question to those with a lot more knowledge about phones than myself. Thank you.
You mean a voice command application? Vlingo is the closest you can get right now.
Yes voice commands. I thought the GS2 came with a "voice talk" application preloaded. In videos I have seen users just click applications and it is right but my phone lacks this.
There are three, voice talk, voice command, and voice search. Not sure what are the difference among them as they all seem to do more or less the same thing.
Sent from my phone via tap tap tap
Hmm, well I have the voice search but it just searches google. It won't open apps or let me dictate messages or anything.
You are right, I got them confused, voice search does google, but the other two more or less do the same thing. They should all be in your app drawer.
I don't think they are I wonder how it got left off the phone? Kinda disappointing. Too expensive of a phone to be missing stuff imo.
I have been searching high and low for an APK that has those, but I have not come up with anything so far... lost it when I flashed a complete WIPE custom rom... I'll be ever so thankful if anybody uploads or directs me to said APK...

Hey guys.
I'm a newb here, actually, completely new to to the Android scene after having an iPhone since the 3G (0 complaints here, except for the iOS "feeling stale), through the 5.
I bought an HTC One M7 in May and I have to say, for my first Android phone, I love it. But of course, since I was an avid jailbreaker of the iPhone, I of course was curious about rooting.
And although I'm new to Android, I've gotten around to learning how to root and unroot and so on.
I am currently on the latest Android Revolution HD custom ROM. But ever since I upgraded to HD 10.3, my Developer Options Menu has completely disappeared. And I have no idea why.
I ran a search on the topic, but did not find anything.
Can anyone assist me?
Thanks!

Actually I don't have an HTC One, so I didn't know the exact path.
I found this from a Google search.
Cheers...
Okay so I realize that this question has probably already been asked more than once, however I'm brand new to not only this site but also to Android phones, so I couldn't find anything in my searches, but I'm hoping someone can point my in the right direction.
I am looking for a complete list of every app and/or system file that is safe to remove from the Xperia Z2, once it has been rooted, without hindering performance. My Z2 is the D6503 model and is running firmware 17.1.A.2.55 (not yet rooted).
Thanks in advance

Hi
I just got my Honor 7 and in the themes app I only have 6 themes available and I don't have any option/tab to look for more themes in internet. I've seen that other people has some tabs in the themes app like 'featured' 'top' 'mine' 'categories'.... but don't have any tab or option to access to new themes. Anyone knows how to solve this?
Thanks!
In the themes app, there's an icon at the bottom next to "customise", something like "access IEMI" (it disappears when you allow this, so I can't quite remember), once you say "yes" to this, you get all the online themes..

Thanks for reply. I don't have any icon next to customize, at the bottom I only have customize. Maybe in the configuration I enabled or disabled something? Do you know where can I see that?

Erm, no idea. The only thing I can think is versions:
What version of software are you on? (B140 on mine). Is it the EU model (PLK-L01) ?

I've the EU version and I'm using the b121. I've read that the B140 has worst battery life than b121 so I don't want to update at the moment. Anyways is strange that I don't have that tabs but it's not a big problem. Is there an oficial website to download the themes and transfer them to the device through the computer? I only know the chinese site http://emui.huawei.com/cn/plugin.php?id=themezone but is there anyone for europe?
SOLVED: Ok, it was that i wasn't using a sim (I just got my nanosim) Now I got the message you said (IMEI access) and I get all the tabs.
