Hi,
Got this off another site, works for me.
How to instant notifications MIUI8.
Security*app>Permissions>Auto-start>enable auto-start for every app you want instant notifications.
Security app>Permissions>Other permissions>enable Display pop-up window for every app you want instant notifications.
Settings>Battery & performance>Manage apps battery usage>Choose apps>Select your app>No restrictions
(Recent app menu>pull app down to lock in memory)

Hey guys, i'm currently not able to install non-market apps. I've checked in system settings that this is allowed. The only problem is that the install button cannot be activated but the abort button.
Does anybody has an answer for that? (example attached)

Juicedefender
Hi, are you using Juicedefender or any other app managing screen brightness ?
If yes, disable this app and it will work, you can reactivate it after you apk install
I had this issue with JD and it made me mad :silly:

I had the same problem with Screen Filter. But when I turn it off everything works fine. So no problem at all.

Thank you!! I have JB Galaxy S3 and was having the same problem!! Found your post and disabled LUX (which controls screen brightness) and was then able to install my non-market app. Doesn't make any sense why that would have anything to do with it, however thank you for the fix!!
Hey guys,
Whenever my phone's screen is off or when my whatsapp app is not open, I do not get whatsapp msgs. I am on stock rom itself, but rooted.
I faced the problem with the official whatsapp and now with whatsapp + also.
When I switch on the screen and open whatsapp, then only do all the msgs suddenly start coming in.
PS: I am having the same problem with Hangouts as well. But not with Gmail, facebook or any other app that I can think off.
Any pointers?
check if your background data is restricted.

Ok. I uninstalled greenify.. let me check..
But then it was working perfectly fine with my previous note 2 with greenify and battery doctor!
same combo was not working in htc one max.. but will check today and report back!

I had done neither!! I had greenified other apps.. but not whatsapp! and not enabled experimental features also! Let me see ... still, hopefully I hope this rectifies the problem!

app info : you can not uncheck the notification option.

I am receiving notification on lockscreen but unable to expand to see what the message is.
Example if I have 5 WhatsApp message, on other phone I could press & drag down to see what the messages are but not on honor 7.

Have not found a way to fix this, apart from installing another lockscreen which turns off your fingerprintscanner.

I did return the phone in september after only a day of usage, pretty much just for software littlenesses like this one... that's just a shame for a phone like this, if just huawei would relase codes to get AOSP built...
Same problem, very annoying. Really hope this gets sorted in 6.0. Might give NiLS a try as I used this on my previous phone running 4.4.4.
Actually going to install it right now, I'll let you know how it works on the Honor 7.

Yes NiLS works very well. I turned off all notifications on lock screen from EMUI and replaced them with NiLS. Finally getting notifications from Gmail on the lock screen and all notifications can be expanded. I can recommend this to everyone. The free version has everything I need but I might buy the premium one for just 2$ to support the dev (who is btw a member here on XDA).

Is the app running in the background? Is wifi killing these apps when you exit them? Come on people! It litterally says in the top of the forum, give as much information as possible and not as little.

The app suddenly kill by the system after sometime..I manage to change them in setting but the result is still the same..I am surely that wifi has nothing to do with this prob

The this is caused by your ROMs OOMK killing the app. Rirozizo did a video on how to modify it.
How can i find the video?
