It's so annoying after proximity sensor triggers the ambient display to turn on the screen completely, into the lock screen, on effective touch.
What i'm asking for is a mod that won't turn on the touchpad of the screen when using ambient display. Thanks a lot
Flash Kernel Agni 3.9
Just turn it off in the Display Settings

yes but i still want the proximity feature so when i grap my phone out of my pocket to light up, the accelerometer is less accurate.
Use Slim7. It has a double tap to wake screen on ambient display feature - personally one of my favorite things about it.

Is there a program the allows you to use the camera light like a Flashlight? Without having to load the camera program and then turning it on?
Any help would be nice b/c it is a good light that i would use more if it was more accessible.
Look HERE and read
Please don't burn out your LED. Use it for 30 secs or so bursts only...

yeah i just use the screen itself as a light, usually if its dark enough for a light that works well on full screen brightness.
saves on the LED too.

Hello, as you can see in the provided picture, my phone has a spot on the lower part of the screen that flickers when the brightness is at the lowest setting (if I put the brightness up just a little tiny bit, it goes away). Does anyone know how to fix this? It also happens when the screen dims as I press the power button to put my phone into sleep, but still only in the lower portion of the screen as pictures. It is just irritating because I like to put my phone in the lowest brightness when I use it at night. It does not affect the touch screen or how well the phone works. Thanks for any suggestions. Have a great day!

Hi,
as per thread's title, I can't see any difference when switching this setting on. Is it just me?
Thanks for any info.

I does work for me.
If the Display is turned off and you receive a message or whatsapp or email and so on, the display activates and is showing the lockscreen.
If this option is turned off and a msg comes in there is no reaction at all, so the display remains dark. (Other than the sound / vibrate / light etc.)
Well, in this case I can confirm it doesn't work for me.
(Mmmh... now it's more than one thing that's not working...)
Any suggestion? The feature looks quite nice.
OK, it works when setting one lock method at least, I.e. swipe to unlock. I had nothing set before.
Not sure it makes sense, but at least it works.
One of my kids did something to my wife's S3 and tuned on a strange information panel overlay on top of launcher and other parts of TouchWiz, theres a screenshot:

I can't see the image, but is it like this:
If yes then turn off show cpu usage.
Sorry about the image, I fixed it already. But no it has nothing to do with the CPU usage setting.
Found out that it's factory mode. Fixed with http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/fixed-exit-factory-mode-t2424015
Hi,
I have a s23 ultra since a few months.
Everything were fine, but since 1 week, screen is a bit too dark with adaptive brightness on.
I don't why but when I'm at home, the phone is usable but too dark.
Outside, I have to manually increase luminosity.
Do you have any idea?
Do you use a screen protector? If yes is it one of those privacy ones? Those are darker
Have you run Diagnostics in Maintenance menu?
There's a proximity recognition there. Try that.
There are android apps, example, DevCheck, that lets you check sensor data like this one called Light.
Check if everything is normal there.

Hi,
I use the same tpu screen protection since the first day, it's not a privacy one .
I've launched "sensors" and "proximity" diagnostic with no problem
