Hey xda users ! :cyclops: .. I am looking for an app that can create the effect of "milk water" .. Recently I stumbled on the Cortex Camera, but the quality is not the best .. Is there any alternative? I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, with manual settings (shutter speed), but when I set to 4s shutter speed when is day, the whole thing is too much illuminated and there is nothing to see .. I think Huawei P8 / P9 / Mate and Honor 8 have these "effects/camera mods" included .. I send down a illustrative image.
btw. I was try it with Neutral Density (ND1000) filter, but quality is too bad.

There are a few contenders for best smartphone camera of 2017, and many would argue that the Google Pixel 2 & 2 XL were the best mobile shooters. That's thanks in large part to the phone's exceptional combination of camera hardware with Google's prowess in image processing software as seen by their famous HDR+ technology.*
Ports of Google Camera with the HDR+ technology have been shown to dramatically improve the picture quality of budget phones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and flagship phones like the Essential Phone. The Pixel 2 camera experience is largely an iterative improvement over the first generation Pixel, though it adds some polish with features such as Motion Photos, Face Retouching, and lastly Portrait Mode.{From xda developers}
Both front and back camera portrait mode works.
There are tons of apps out and i'm not the Developer of this app, i just found out this app and which one supports the best on the phone and thought maybe i should share this link*below.*
sometimes the camera app crashes because of incorrect settings so ill put my settings which works for me*best.*
BEST SETTINGS
GO TO CAMERA SETTINGS>>
Tuning back cam>>Pixel XL
Tuning front cam>>Nexus 5X
Back cam photo resolution>>6.0 MP
Front cam photo resolution>>5.0 MP
Advance>>HDR+parameter>>very low
config camera HDR+>>Pixel 2017
Lens blur MP>>12 MPUsing the app in as much lower parameter of settings is always better and your app will work smoothly ( in lower settings)
Download*: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mnMyFHRXhc5eWFrBMtlMyn__YulO20Z6/view?usp=sharing
IMPORTANT: It is important to clear the Ram Before, every time you open the app because the app needs lots of memory
If app crashes then Clear Data Force Stop then open again then Update Settings
OTHER APPS (Root user only): HIGHLY RECOMMEND
*These app force Stop the unwanted background apps which are running in background also clears the phone memory to significant Max limit.
1.Root Booster: "Use In Speed Boost mode" Link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N9tw9wLjeUhBPeFOWPkbZL8d7ehSlI5W/view?usp=drivesdk
2. Speed Up Swap:"Use In Very High" Link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YnJ_Wku5NU2xcqzTihYfGnQuWpi59MH0/view?usp=drivesdk
using this app drastically increased the performance of the Google Camera app
And Also I'm using Noble Nought S8 port 5.1 AlexisXda (This Rom allows to change the screen resolution, i use the app in 1280x720 resolution uses less memory whereas the default s6 resolution is 1440x2560 uses lots of memory)
take that for whatever its worth.
Although i think it should work just fine on any rom because its the hardware which matters
Gonna try it thank you...[emoji4]

I agree, the default settings are very noisy. Even the stock camera takes much sharper image in low or medium light. Would like to know the best settings for S6.
This camera is from here
Google Camera with working portrait mode V8.2
Here is my version of Google Camera based on BSG's original port. Although I aimed to get it working only on Galaxy S7 Exynos, there are reports that it is working on other devices like S7 Snapdragon, S8, Note 8 etc... Working list on S7...

Hi
I am wondering,is there any app that can do Portrait lightning effect like Huawei Honor 10 will do?
Forget abt iPhone X lightning effect because it has hardware advantage
What abt other android manufactures like Huawei does
Is there any app that can perform this????
I have searched the same resource, but only found the phocus app, which by the way is very bad!
I came from Italy and updated my Huawei Mate 10 Pro to EMUI 9.1. I can't see substantial differences between Emui 9.0 in terms of responsiveness of my device but I think this is a step-back regarding the functionality: in the "portrait" section now you can choose 3d light effects or bokeh but, once shooted the photo, it's impossible to edit as in the past and I find this unconfortable . I expected to find "Ar effect" (even though I think it's useless, but it's a "feature" also availbe on p-smart models...) and AR Measure, probably the latter it's not avaible because there isn't the TOF sensor on M10Pro .
I'm going to test my device to see if the photo quality is improved or not.
I await your feedback and review on this camera app. If you have any advice don't hesitate to comment!
P.s. sorry for my english :silly:
So after upgrading my New M20Pro to the latest 10.1.. Ive noticed that Huawei have replaced the camera UI, resolutions and pixel binning with just aspect ratios... After doing some research, it appears this has been done to all Huawei devices from the NOva 5T to the P30 and 40 Pro.. and while Huawei have given explanations on this in their forums,, all I can find in the 20pro is the 40mpx Hi Res in Pro mode.. not the 24/40/48mpx settings Huawei say..
So how does it work on the M20P.. can someone please briefly explain or point me to a thread that explains this for our phone.. and any tips anyone has for using this..
Thanks all
So after much hunting and researching.. i found my answer on YT no less.. so incase your wondering.. heres the Aspect ratios with their corresponding resolution settings
Rear Cam
(4:3) 10mpx .. 3648x2736 (4x10mp pixel Binning)
(1:1) 7mpx ... 2736x2736
(18.8x9) 6mpx ... 3648x1744
Front Cam
(4:3) 24mpx ... 5632x4224
(1:1) 18mpx ... 4224x4224
(18:9) 16mpx ... 5632x2816
In Photo Mode, to get the full (4:3) 40mpx .. 7296x5472, you need to swipe along to "More" and tap "Hi-Res"
In Pro Mode you just tap the "40mp" in the left corner of the screen
Anyway I hope this helps someone who is curious..
Hi,
I have Mi 11x Pro (haydnin) stock firmware 12.0.2-12.5.2.
I am having this really annoying colours issue on HDR videos. All HDR videos have really bad color banding in dark areas and the colours appear grayish. The HDR is activated (as I can't change color filters in toolbox) but the videos don't look anything like they should.
I have played side by side with another HDR capable device Asus zenfone 5z and Poco F3 GT (K4O Pro Game enhanced edition). The difference is quite night and day.
Setting the phone in day mode almost fixes the color banding , but the colors are still dull and grayish and the blacks look like I'm using an LCD mobile!
Here see for yourself. A video speaks more than billion words.
If you have this device.
Please set it to night mode.
Set brightness to full.
Play this video on YouTube from 2:30 onwards. (
)
And let me know if you have the ugly color banding and greyish colours as well.
Confirmed the same issue. Seems that Xiaomi has not handled HDR content well

Yes. Absolutely unacceptable if you advertise this phone as having an award-winning display. Please mention your mobile version and firmware version too.

I'm using K40 Pro + Xiaomi.eu 21.8.11
I'm thinking of the incompatibility between Miui and Youtube app when playing HDR content.

It's not only YouTube. But every platform I tested, it is buggy.
UPDATE:
ADDED A BRIEF VIDEO of the issue as compared a a device without this issue (Poco F3 GT)

I returned the device. But if you can't. I suggest you use SVP video player from playstore. It'll give you right colours.
Clear camera cache and reset the setting in the camera app and set picture quality at highest

I'm not talking about the camera pics/videos.
HDR is terrible in the Mi 11i. It oversharpens and has inconsistent saturation. I'm hoping they'll address that in the MIUI 13 update.
