Having b380 again I am running in the issues that when pressing home button for a few seconds it's not launching Google now. I have set my preferred assistant in app settings but the Google now symbol pops up in gray. Is there any other option somewhere which I haven't found so far?

I just got jb but when I long press the home button it brings up task manager. I read somewhere it should open google now.
Any solution??
Long press opens task manager and on the bottom there are three buttons: first one opens task manager, second(with the G icon) is the google now, and the third is kill all active apps.

Or just map one of the custom launchers gestures for swype up to launch Google search/now, or app drawer button gesture up, kinda mimicking aosp way of launching it.

Well that only works if you doesn't have an app opened =)
By long pressing the HOME button I can bring up 3 commands one being the google button or Google item.
Is there any way to put this as a short cut on the home screen??
When I click the search box on the home screen it doesn't bring up the same Google window (with the mountains) in the background.
I want to have this on my home screen so its easer to access.

If you use any rom that has the Android Navigation Bar along the bottom (or at least has support for it), that will give you exactly what you are requesting. Because if you hold down the home button on the Navigation bar a small popup menu will appear allowing you to select Google Now (Google window with the mountains).
Otherwise, put a shortcut to "Google" from your app menu on your homescreen.
I'm looking for the menu to switch the default launch behavor from S Voice to Google Now.
Everyone is saying Home2, but is there a native setting menu to switch this?

but holding on the menu soft key goes directly into google now!
Hi.
Just wondering how Google Now works on this phone. In the past I could just pull the home button if its on screen or hold the home button. On this phone I'm not too sure.
Thanks
google now launcher and swipe left, or enable navigation bar on screen
Both of those would work but I don't wish to install Google lagging launcher. All you need is the Google app and then go into settings and enable the '' Ok Google function. In my case I enabled it on all screens. Works fine.
My Home screen style is: Drawer
System navigation key combination is: 3rd from the list
So, when I press the round HOME button it takes me to the Page 2 right away rather than to Page 1 ... Why so?
I must have changed something somewhere ... Goggle Play Service perhaps?
Under Apps, I did Reset app preferences and Show system processes but it didn't bring back the correct Home button function!
Any help please?
Thanks
