Hi XDA members!
An urgent help is needed to fix a hard brick problem with my smartphone model. I've searched for my model make in this forum and tried all the methods of recovery relating to Karbonn A9 plus/cherry flare but no success till now...
So, here's the detailed explanation of how my phone got hard bricked:
Originally my phone had a bootloop issue where it would start with the phone model logo and get stuck at the boot animation. It would never go into android. (where it would be detected as an adb device in windows). So, I rectified it via fastboot mode flashing of my rom using AIO flashing tool. Then I delved deeper into the forums here and found out android kitkat update for my phone model. (my current version being ICS 4.0.4). I got ambitious and went ahead with flashing android kitkat using CWM recovery (again, I made sure I flashed the correct version of cwm recovery for my model first before flashing the new rom). CWM got flashed successfully and replaced my default android recovery system and it worked too (although screen would flicker while tool operated). Everything was perfectly going on till now. I was feeling happy to finally run kitkat on my 4 year old phone. My current OS was booting normally, I could go into CWM recovery, fastboot mode as well.
Now, here's where I made a mistake probably! :
I UPDATED CWM RECOVERY TO V6 JUST BEFORE BEGINNING THE FLASHING PROCESS FOR ANDROID KITKAT FOR MY MODEL. Then while flashing, I first decided to test the backup and restore function of cwm recovery. I backed up and restored my current version using cwm. It backedup without issues. But while restoring, it introduced some errors. (yeah, I didin't know cwm reformated the wrong partition instead of the boot partition while restoring the boot image!!! )
Now, my cwm recovery is gone, fastboot mode is gone.... heck... even battery doesn't show up as charging. I tried to press vol up + power button but nothng happens. It doesn't give any vibration feedback after the press. Same for just power button press.
Is there any chance of recovery at this stage??
I know cwm f****d up my phone's boot partition. Also, I searched for solutions to this problem as well here and found the article "How to revive dead Karbonn A9+/CM Flare after JB update". Yes, I tried the Qualcomm HS-USB QD Loader 9008 driver and QPST.2.7.374 tool on 32 bit windows xp (as problems were reported on 64 bit and windows 7 for the above mentioned driver installations, I had to take further pain and install 32 bit windows xp on my pc's second hard disk just to succeed in installing drivers for unbricking my phone..... as I use windows 7..... talk about problem getting bad to worst.... ah!! ) I plug the phone with battery in it to my PC (after successful driver installations) but phone isn't detected in device manager....
I tried everything, I fully charged battery overnight.
Result?? .... my phone is still not showing anything on screen. It's dead. It's not even accepting to charge from the wall. Forget booting or going to recovery/fastboot mode.
I will never use cwm recovery again on any future smartphone of mine!!!! :crying::crying:
PLEASE HELP me with reviving my phone!!!
Or should I give up trying and just buy a new smartphone??
thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I need some help please.
I tried to root my sons galaxy young S6310N using a video on you tube
However at the 4.41 point I didnt have the yes- root option.
I themn rebooted and it went back into CWM recovery. v6.0.3.2
It's been stuck in this for 2 days now, I have searched everywhere for a solution but I'm lost now. I have information overload I think.
I have tried to install drivers through Kies but it won't recognise my phone in CWM recovery or in download mode.
I have tried to install a custom rom via sd card, it seems to work but reboots into CWM again.
I fear I may have made a mess of it now by messing around with things I know nothing about. I panicked really.
The phone was running jelly bean and is only a week old.
I can get adb but not sure how to use it properly.
Could someone please help?
Thanks in advance
sorted it myself
Hi, just in case anyone was interested I managed to sort this.
I put phone into download mode (holding vol - & menu & power) then pressed up at logo screen to enter download mode.
My pc then installed drivers automatically (something I had been struggling with in CWM recovery mode)
I then installed stock rom recovery.tar.md5 file using odin and the phone rebooted as normal.
I have given up trying to root it now, I may learn properly before attempting again, or may leave it.
Search for your device first before making a thread..!!

Good..but always use recovery for ur phone only..or make it for ur phone..
And do any changes in stock ROM after creating a BACKUP of the same..
ROOTING is not a difficult now-a-days but overcoming from the loss of time and data after BRICKING is so painful.
If you are not friendly with the commands and codes then use a software for that or follow up the WRITTEN guide..or use FARMAROOT app.
Head to thread...Thanks Mr. Bin4ry for this awesome method:
Rooting almost every phone
Enjoy..!!
Hello all.
I am a first time poster, but a long time stalker of this site. I'd like to start off by saying I am very impressed by this forum. There are a lot of intelligent people and a lot of excellent work being done around here, keep it up!
On to the problem:
To make a long story short, I attempted to flash a custom ROM onto my phone and wound up with a soft brick (I think, the definitions of hard and soft bricks are quite vague all over the internet...).
Phone: Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020t (TCT Mobile)
Android version: 4.1.2 (Jellybean)
Root access: Yes
Custom recovery: Unsure, but leaning toward no. ROM Manager said I had TWRP and CM installed, but I have never been able to boot into custom recovery mode...
Bootloader: Unsure. I believe it is locked.
OK, Here's what happened: I forgot to wipe my SD card/cache before flashing. Flashed phone, Phone rebooted to the manufacturer screen, then goes dead. Power button turns phone on but phone will not get past the manufacturer splash screen. Tried to boot in recovery mode by pressing vol up + power, the bootloader comes up, but only the options "Reboot System" and "Reboot in Recovery Mode" appear. Selecting either option results in the same thing: Phone dies after manufacturer screen.
Connected via USB:
PC will no longer recognize the device. When phone is powered on and connected, PC makes the sound for a connected device, then makes the sound it makes when you disconnect. It does this multiple times. Powered off it does the same thing. With battery removed, phone will not power on, but displays the charging battery picture.
I have read that formatting my SD card can fix this somehow, but haven't attempted it yet.
I have stock ROM image for the device. I have backups saved on the SD and my PC.
Can anyone help me?

hi could u send me the stock ROM image of the Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020t ? my email is [email protected]
or u can give me the link of the rom that i can download .
Thanks !!!
i pimped my rom and got a brick
I used an app called Pimp my Rom and tweaked the cpu and kernel. It was a lot faster, however when I rebooted my phone I got a brick. I tried booting recovery and apply update from sd card. it failed with stock and rooted recovery roms. I understand the bootloader must be unlocked prior to this type of flash. Is there any other solution. I am currently without a phone!!

Have you tried going to the Alcatel website and downloading the One-Touch update software package? It has worked for some people that have the 5020t variant...
can you send me the Alcatel 5020t Stock rom thaks much--- [email protected]

I have a a Lenovo Yoga 8 B6000. Im running 4.4.2 and after some fiddling, used Vroot to root, and subsequently went through some arduous steps to finally remove the Vroot and replace with SuperSu. Life was good. Then I got a little careless when removing some of the bloatware and ended up with a constant boot-loop problem. And of course, no backup. (whoops!)
I have been researching this the past 2 days for a workable solution and am reaching out for some more refined assistance.
Here is what I have done thus far:
When pressing Power + VOL+/- I get to the initial recovery menu which gave me: Recovery, Fastboot, and Normal. After selecting the "Recovery" mode, I get the "No Command", after which I pressed the power button one more time and got into the English recovery menu. I show
Android System Recovery <3e>
B6000_A442_001_026_141117_WW_WIFI
Reboot System Now
Apply Update from ADB
Apply Update from SDCard
Apply update from Cache
Wipe data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
I attempted to wipe the cache, followed by Wipe data/Factory reset. Following this procedure, I remained in the boot loop.
I installed ADB Flashtool drivers for WIN7 and attempted to use flash tool which was also suggested on this site. I got a 4.2.2 ROM "B6000_A422_000_059_131219_WW_WIFI" from a russian lenovo forum site to use with the flash tool and because the tablet continues in boot loop when starting, there was no loading of the ROM from that method.
I put the rom on an SD card and went into recovery mode. The ROM was not visible by the recovery menu (By that I guess the Apply Update from SDCard is looking for a specific file extension, which is not present).
I may have tried a few other things which are not popping into my head at the moment.
Im kind of at a loss and looking for any ideas from the gurus out there on how I might be able to get any kind of ROM to flash onto my B6000 and getting it up and running again.
Thanks
I was able to successfully fix the Yoga 8 tablet by using the instructions here:
//aluk4rd.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/an-easy-guide-for-restoring-your-stock-4-2-2-firmware-on-your-lenovo-yoga-tablets-8-and-10-b6000-and-b8000/
The trickiest part was getting the Mediatek driver installed. I use a dual booting MAC with WIN7 and sometimes there are some kwirks when operating in WIN7. However, the results of the instructions brought my tablet back to life, as well as downgrading to 4.2.2
Hi engineer2loggie,
How did you get that firmware? Can you tell where can I download it?
Thanks.
has anybody found a solution to this? im stuck with the same problem atm
Hello, after playing with my z90 (with the original rom that was Z90a40_USR_S118 international, bought in october 2015) I wanted to clean it up and make some updates. So I made my backups etc... Entered the recovery (not the green lenovo one wich is very limited) with hold vol - , I choosed to wipe (the phone was encrypted just to mention) all that I can and reset to factory, all was done but when it finished, it reboot and it stuck to initializing just after lenovo logo it reboot... initializing... and it s an inifinite loop. So I retryed to go to the maintenance recovery but it s not possible a black screen come and it reboot, I can go to the limited lenovo green recovery, but no factory reset, so I make the wipe datas etc... nothing... infinite reboot loop!
So I found some rom put them in the micro SD, go for an update.zip with the recovery, update work well but... initializing.... reboot...
Grrr, lenovo... So I take the big tools, installed a minimal win7 with qualcom drivers, lenovo ones, qpst. I tried many manipulation to enter the download mode with port com (I finaly managed multiple times with not the exact manipulation it s vol- + power + 10s and multiple spanning of the vol - button....) And I have succefully flashed multiple roms with qfil but with always the same results... initializing, reboot... I don t know where to search now, I someone can help me to find where to go, perhaps reflashing the recovery or I saw the .qnc in a russian forum but I can t understand one word.... 2 days of flashing make me hate my lenovo, my first brick with a phone . Any help?
Thanks,
sorry for my bad english

Hi,
here is my solution if can help.
I had on my vibe shot s208 rooted ROW. It stacked after SU update in boot loop.
1. I did wipe data without formatting from recovery mode (Vol+ and Vol- and Power button. When Logo is on release power button and hold Vol+ and Vol - until you are in recovery mode). STILL boot loop.
2. I did wipe data with formatting from the same menu. - STILL boot loop.
3. I did factory reset from recovery menu (Vol - and Power after logo is on release Power and hold Vol - until you get recovery mode) - STILL boot loop.
Then I did next:
1. I downloaded and installed QFIL (QPST_2.7.422) - I am not allowed to post links yet.
2. I have connected OTG adapter to phone. Phone was off.
3. then connected OTG to PC. It was some HDD activities but I did not hear any sound.
4. press Vol- for as long as something is going on - HDD activities. Then I think came up sound too - but not sure.
5. I had installed Qualcomm USB drivers from before I suppose.
6. Because I couldn't see my device as ...908 I disconnected and connected again usb cable... then I got my device as ...908 in device manager, but it was written "RECONNECTED" or similar in front of word "QUALCOM".
7. Then just follow instructions for QFIL. and ROM will be installed.
First I have installed INTERNATIONAL no root ROM. But because I needed phone to be rooted in order to use data recovery software I flashed again with s240 ROOTED. When I flashed second time I did not use OTG, just direct usb cable connection to PC, and my phone was again recognized after I reconnected usb cable and in device manger was "RECONNECTED" in front of word "QUALCOM".
Hello, thanks for replying. But I already tried all the roms with qfil, they were successfully installed as wtih miflash but I always got a initializing boot loop... Unfortunately I tried some other method, I successfully erase all partitions, I m now in 9006 mode with a long vibration on start and I cant do anything now No flashing works anymore... I ll try some stuff when I had a little time.
did you find a solution ?? , cause I have the same problem ... tried everything, adb or cwm recovery won't work cause my device is not rooted nor the usb debugging is on .. so am stuck with this "initializing loop".. flashing didn't solve it for me, I tried every ROM I could find, rooted or not .. nothing .... this problem happened with my phone after wiping user data and trying to restore QCN, cause before this problem I had another one with network services, tried to solve it, and here I am, from bad to worse
Hello,
I had the same problem. I tried with QFile and MiFlash but unfortunately without success. will you a track ?
I reinstalled the drivers QDLoader HS- USB Driver. I maintained volume + for 3 seconds , however, nothing happens ! (Before it worked ) I also tried adb reboot eld the prolème is the USBport phone is not known !
I followed the procedure of DejXDA carefully until the end staying press the VOL- the phone starts to recharging battery ... have you others sollutions ? thanks in advance.
Hey there !
Same problem for me... The solution may be to rebuild the partition table, but we need a working phone, and a backup with QPST.
Would anyone post a *.qcn file from his phone, made with QPST Software Download ? or a *.hex ?
And the user partitions ? Or a factory image (*.mbn) ?
Any gurus here, what would you advise for that problem ? Would using QPST properly work ?
Cheers !
Z90-7 (Z90a40) unbricked (at last...)
Hello!
After days and days of fails, my Z90-7 is unbricked!
How?
Just follow the OTG cable method, but copy in the SD card, in the sdfuse folder, this image:
Z90a40_S209_150716_ROW.qsb
You can download it from russian forum*, freely.
*I'm not allowed to post links, but enter the exact reference (Z90a40_S209_150716_ROW.qsb) in Google search (don't accept the Google's proposition to correct it), the link is the first answer. Use Google trad as I did if you don't speak russian .
Hello ,
I have a Lenovo vibe shot Z90-7

Hello,
Im new here and im not sure if here is the correct place to ask questions but,
I have a Huawei Y5 II and i was trying to put android 6.0 or higher but i had alot of problems.
I first unlocked my bootloader and then installed a custom recovery TWRP and CWM on it, but i never succeeded in booting into one of them.
What happened is that i saw in a post here on xda that with a certain command in fastboot mode i can remove the custom recoveries ( because they didnt work at all) but when i did it i ended up formatting my whole system, cache and boot.
Now my phone just stays on the huawei logo when i turn it on and nothing else.
i tried to install a custom recovery again throught the fastboot mode using adb on my pc, but when i press the vol up+ power my phone just keeps restarting and restarting and staying on the logo.
Thanks in advance for your time spent on reading my problem i just wanna use my phone again cuz i love it. <3
Hi, try to flash latest stock firmware for SD update here is example but do for your model and region !!!
http://huawei-firmware.com/rom/huawei-y5ii/cunu29/1719
Good Luck
Thanks you, but i would do that if i had access to my recovery!
If i press the keys my phone just restarts and restarts until i let the keys off, then again... just the logo.
my phone still is in warranty and i can give it to my distributor so their service fixes it.... but i dont really want that.. i just wanna fix it and use it as before.
well..
i had my phone to service and i got it fixed for 100 bucks. :/ i really am a sadman
