Hello everyone.. I am trying to get my WIND sim card to work on my unlocked Note i717r (ROGERS). I successfully installed CMW touch recoveries and rooted the phone (installed superuser), after that installed the modem from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23522477&postcount=306 - (T-mobile SGH-T989 KID). then followed the steps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23621077
3. Reboot your phone.
4. Go to Settings
5. Go to Wireless and network
6. Go to Mobile networks
7. Go to Network mode
8. Select HSPA only.
but had to manually search for network to 302490... and this took a while and finally got WIND home.
After a few mins (like 20min) I get back "No service" and when I go to Wireless and network> Mobile Network> Network operator> "No sim card found, please insert sim card"......
Tried the same method on Stock rogers rom 2.3.6 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657262) and 4.0.4 ICS, also on i717_DTLLF4_CustomCanadian_B2 Rom.
I cannot flash any other rom as it does not allow me to search network manually...
I always factory wipe>wipe cache>wipe dalvik>format system>flash Modem>flash i717_DTLLF4_CustomCanadian_B2
I see some guys have got their Note working on WIND even with custom ROM. Help me getting me to get my WIND sim work on my NOTE i717r. Saw some guys asking for the same question but never got any reply/solution from them or their posts.
I am sure I must be doing something wrong.... I tried blaze 4g, KID,VK1, Leaked ICS T-Mobile SII based Modem.

Hey man, I did the same thing I unlocked a rogers i717 and used it on wind.
I don't use CWM though, Try using TWRP
I flashed my phone with cm9 using TWRP, and used the blaze 4g modem or ics modem.
but i think every other rom i've flashed after that, it automatically connects to wind now :s
after you get the phone to connect to wind, touch "Search automatically", then you wont have to manually search everytime the phone reboots.
All righ guys I've decided to open this thread so we can work more specific with the phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SCG-I545L (from Open Mobile PR) wich i want to use with a GSM carrier. So far this is all I've been trying and the info i can provide (will include Screenshot)
It does not have the option to choose gsm on network.
I've downloaded a stock 4.2 firmware and tried to install it with Odin and with Safestrap but instantly failed, no software damage occurred.
Tried to access hidden menus but no luck with any code.
Somewhere in this forum i'vs read about enabling those options, did the steps but no luck.
Downloaded the ServiceMode Shortcut apk from PlayStore and for my surprise this is what I found (image attached)
Just finished installing the hyperdrive rom but cant switch from CDMA/LTE to GSM/UMTS or Global. When I select the option it automatically go back to CDMA. Manage to insert APN successfully.
Flash it again and still do the same, flash it with the att and still search for cdma, when i set to manual search it said "error while searching for network".
anyone? any soggestion?

Hi guys, i have just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE i9305 it was advertised as unlocked and it is to a point but wont get a signal with my Three sim card. i have tried vodafone and EE sims and they work fine. i've re-entered the settings for Three in mobile networks settings but still nothing, just says emergency calls only. can anyone help?

You may need to flash a Three modem
Read this: [REF] Galaxy S3 Modem / Radio Collection (I9300 & I9300T ONLY) CWM & Odin Flashable
To flash a new modem:
1. Download an official rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and extract the zip to md5 then extract the md5
2. In Odin, select “CP”(previously “Phone”) and fetch the modem.bin file
3. Only thing checked should be “Auto Reboot”
4. Put the phone in download mode, plug in USB, then in Odin hit Start
So I have installed the latest stock firmware on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (Android 6.0.1).
I have inserted my SIM (Romanian carrier, Orange) and it asks for my PIN code, but it doesn't connect to the network for some reason. I tried Googling and everything, but every post said that I should change the network mode, and that's there I found the possible reason my device doesn't connect to the network.
I am missing GSM and WCDMA from the network mode list, does anybody have any idea how I could enable them?
Before upgrading, my SIM card worked just fine.

EDIT 2: I have installed the latest firmware using Samsung Kies, no fancy Odin flashing, so this is the official firmware.

I need help with resurrecting the above phone model. After updating it via Samsung Switch, it 'magically' stopped receiving network recognition but it could sense the SIM card's network operator. I tried dialing some numbers and it said "Not registered on the network". I ran to the internet through various forums. I have been re-flashing STOCK ROM and i was getting PASS; still no good came out. I tried custom ROMs, same thing. NOW suddenly i got an efs/ failed to mount. How can i resurrect my baby? All i have about the phone is:
AP: G925FXXU6EVG4 (Build number) - NDR90M
CP: G925FXXU6ERF5 (Baseband version)
CSC: G925FXXU6EVG4 (Country version) - 02U
IMEI SV - 02
SN - RF8G610C1MN
The stock ROMs i have downloaded so far are:
1. Samfw.com_SM-G925F_O2U_G925FXXU6EVG4_fac.zip (stock ROM based on the last successful booting ROM; after updating via Samsung Switch)
2. Samfw.com_SM-G925F_O2U_G925FXXU6ERG1.zip
I have these in place:
- Samsung S6 Series EFS Backup Restore Tool v1.0 By Jamesjerss.exe (which i used prior; to get an efs.img before my phone got messed up (a 20Mb file was created). Is that the backed up EFS?
- Odin Odin3_v3.14.4
- CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip
- twrp-3.3.1-0-zerolte.img.tar and twrp-3.3.1-0-zerolte.img (i wonder the difference although the internet says i use .tar with Odin)
- SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip
Now, the stock ROM stops on the RECOVERY MODE with efs/ failed to mount, and when i try the custom ROM, it stops on SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 Edge. In all recovery modes, good enough my PC detects my phone's internal storage. I need to get this device to work, people.
Someone help with with a step by step tutorial, please. I am a fast learner
PS Am not a tech student or anything, am just a person who reads stuff on the internet although i understand some basic stuff on tech

1. If you think about Smart Switch Mobile, it is not for update.
2. Go back to Stock firmware via odin.
2. Have you seen >this< tutorial?
how can i know the stock firmware of the phone....i only remember the one that was updated via Smart Switch (Hanset: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F single SIM card slot no SD card slot)
1. Check your CSC on the phone box or with the Phone INFO app ★SAM★ 3.8.5.
2. Select your CSC region in the "Version" box read the instructions and download the firmware.
3. Use Odin 3.13.1 to update this model.
@ze7zez. Just bought it from some phone shop that sells used phones. I have the needed STOCK firmware already. The CSC is 02U G925F---VG4. All am getting is this image below:
Since your system is not working, go to "View recovery logs" and look for CSC or "region name".
You can also try uploading firmware from your country's region.
The CSC is 02U (O2) which according to internet research it is UK

I already have all firmwares for this handset from 02U. I have tried EVERY STOCK ROM...but all am getting is E: Failed to mount '/efs' (Invalid argument).
I tried EFS-Fix-regalstreak.tar.md5 basing on https://ajketech.wordpress.com/2016/07/27/efs-missing-factory-mode-activated-here-is-the-solution/ i got FAIL.
I do have an efs.img i made before all of this whole saga but i don't know if it is broken or okay.
Try flashing TWRP from >this< manual. Read it carefully!
With TWRP you will have more options for repair.
