Sorry @dreamy.man but from what I know you have to be rooted.
To root, use MTK Droid Tools by rua1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160490
To backup, find oscarblue's post.
There were a few ways mentioned on how to backup.
1) flash cwm and make nandroid backup
2) make a scatter file in mtk droid tools and use sp flash tool somehow. I suggest you read the thread above.
Hope this helps. Press thanks if I helped you
Deep down in my memory there's an app in playstore that can backup your rom without using root. I cant remember the name sorry.

I Have the SM G925Z Version of the galaxy s6 Edge [Japan SoftBank]
I See many Roms that say "Works with many g925 Versions !" but the Japanese Z Version is never listed anywhere.
only the F T U V P etc etc versions.
If I use TWRP 2.8.6.0 to backup my current Rom, can I try these other Roms and safely return to my Stock Rom
if cell or wifi service stop working? If I try 5.1.1 Roms, I can not return to 5.0.2 roms?
Can I use TWRP to install a 5.1.1 rom that I download, even while my current Rom is 5.0.2 ?
or can I only install Roms using Odin Flash tool ?
My ZTE Warp phone was able to install Roms from downloaded Zip files with TWRP.
But I am not 100 % sure about the process.

First the s6 edge is a different style of device. To install 5.1.1 roms on the device you have to be on 5.1.1. Same with 5.0.2. Yes you can try any rom from the s6 and the s6 edge rom so long as you flash a special kernal for your device that makes the rom work on your device. If cellular data does not work, revert to your nandroid backup of your origonal os and flash another rom and you'll be good if that one works. Just repeat if the roms dont work or if you get tired of it then just stick with your stock rom which should be your nandroid backup.

Thank you. I can understand this, except for the kernal part, please explain.
How can I backup my current Kernal so that I can return to my Stock Rom backup.?
will a TWRP Nandroid backup do that automatically ?
how do I install the correct Kernal? with TWRP ?
for example, from the ROM installation , it says
[5]Install Zip from storage
[6]Flash The Capsule ROM
[7]Flash arter97 kernel
[8]Flash SuperSU
[9]Reboot
Im assuming 5 means, copy the rom to the phone, 6 means use TWRP to install,
so flash the kernal after the rom ? with Twrp ?
how can I backup my kernal first? so that I can return to my 5.0.2.
and last question, you said I need to be on 5.1.1 to try 5.1.1 roms.
the Japan SM g925Z is a 5.0.2 rom atm, they never updated to 5.1.
most of the roms I see are 5.1.1
Does that mean there is no way to upgrade to 5.1.1 while on 5.0.2 ?
or does that mean, if I flash a new TWRP and 5.1.1 Rom, I can just never return to 5.1.1 ?
Does TWRP Mean Kernel ?
maybe that is what I am missing.
I already have a working TWRP.
some roms do not mention flashing kernels in the installation, some do,
does that mean it does not matter? or does that mean that the installation guide is terrible and people are going to brick ---- if they dont know about it ?
Im not exactly sure the difference between kernel and Rom.
To answer your first question, the nandroid backup you do in twrp backs it up because it is a required portion of your rom. Which also answers your second question as yes.
The answer to your third question is you have to find a flashable zip of a custom kernal for your device. You can also try restoring your boot from the nandroid which contains the kernal and if that one doesnt work flash the custom kernal zip.
Next i need a link to the rom your trying to flash to check it out.
The only way to install 5.1.1 roms is to be on that android version. The reason is that android uses an sdk platform and 5.0.2 uses sdk 21 and 5.1.1 uses sdk 22 so those are incompatable with each other.
No way to update that device to 5.1.1 unless it is released for that device or unless the hardware sources are released for aosp roms which may be a while where samsung has not released them yet due to the new Exynos processor that they recently created.
No twrp is your recovery but it backs up your kernal with the backup.
Those roms are for specific device varients and will work without installing a kernal because the kernal that it needs is for the devices they are meant for.
The others that say install kernals are ones that didnt have the kernal put in the rom zip.

Either that or they didnt modify the kernals in the rom zip to the specifacations that they wanted so they fixed it and posted the kernal.

thank you, that does explain alot.
I am not sure which Rom I should try. None of them actually say sm g95z.
Which roms would you recommend I try first?
I am not sure any will work, they all appear to be 5.1.1 only.
which means my 5.0.2 system can not test any of them.
or more specifically, if I upgrade to 5.1.1, and they fail to connect to wifi or cellular, then I can not return to 5.0.2 I guess.
Do you know of any that are 5.0.2 ?
those should be safe to try I guess.
I just want to get rid of the 500 retarded A-- Samsung apps that auto update.
I dont need Sfinder X_x, I dont need quick connect, I REALLY dont want virus protection from samsung clogging up my performance.
I have read about build.prop tweaks and updates, but the sm g925Z version did not get 5.1.1 updates, so those fixes do not work.
I do have Root access already, but with TWRP 2.8.6.0 (Because its said that it doesnt trip knox).
but I can not un-install these fkn bloatware apps, even with root access.
This appears to be a 5.0.2 Galaxy S6 Edge Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...edge-g925fxxu1aocv-v1-0-deodex-aroma-t3102974
but it says G925FXX, my phone is G925ZZ
I should be able to test it, and return to my g925ZZ TWRP backup pretty easily right ? since it is 5.0.2 ?
Just to confirm for other people.
I tested the VNRom 5.0.2 for G920F
it ran like S--T.
I used TWRP backup to go back to Stock 5.0.2 just fine.
no problems.

Hello, Have you found any compatible rom?
Hi,
I got my first cellphone with authority rooted in Andriod 5.x hereafter I switched on Andriod 6.0.1 after I got him here was rooted in my x axis wrong if I left then he clicks it up right ( Q is p on my keyboard) I have no backup or something . I've reset it , and I am currently actually a little desperate.
Does anyone have a solution so ?
It is a s6
Thanks in advance!
Joep
You didn't mention how you updated, but it doesn't sound like you did it officially. You should download the original firmware and flash via Odin. It'll wipe the phone so make sure to back up everything you need somewhere safe. If you rooted via a custom kernel that wasn't for your variant of S6, that might have caused this issue.

x722 QFIL is now available for hard bricks. See x722 Development Forum or scroll down for the link.
Although this thread is stickied in the Question & Answers sub-forum, I see that people are still ending up with bricked phones because they only visit this section of the forum. Let's hope this thread puts an end to accidental bricks once and for all (and let's hope that the future brings a solution to these bricked x722s).
Don't worry; custom 26s ROMs are fine to flash through TWRP. Vendor ROMs are fine to flash through TWRP.
Just don't flash the first stock 26s ROM you find online. Like the 26s ROM from Needrom, or a 26s ROM from a Chinese forum.
WARNING! There was a report that @STEVE_MARS's Genesys 26s ROM bricked a phone. See this post for reference. I urge you to stay away from that ROM and other eUI 26s based ROMs. You never know if your device will get bricked
Below lies the same info as is in the Q&A forum sticky.
Planning on flashing a custom ROM on your LeEco Pro3 Elite x722? Planning on flashing TWRP on your LeEco Pro3 Elite x722?
READ THIS ENTIRE POST FIRST, or you may accidentally brick your device
DO NOT flash official/stock 26s through TWRP.
DO NOT UPDATE TO official/stock 26s if you want to flash TWRP on your x722.
Your x722 will get permanently bricked if you install stock 26s (or firmware WIXCNFN5802005041S) through TWRP. That's because stock 26s permanently locks down the bootloader. At that point, only fastboot is available. Do not attempt this or you will end up with a permanently bricked device.
EDIT: As of September 24, 2018, @F.J.V has posted the x722's QFIL. Hooray! https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...ides-development--and-mods/qfil-x722-t3846553
HELP! I'm on 26s! I received my x722 and it's stuck on 26s! HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?
That's simple. If your x722 is on stock 26s, you only need to flash Batyan's 01D developer ROM (20s) through the stock LeEco recovery. Click for the download and instructions. Follow the instructions and you will be able to safely unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP.
However, most x722s are on vendor ROMs. If your phone is on a 26s vendor ROM, it's safe to flash. Look at the chart below to figure out if you've got stock 26s or vendor 26s. If you're not sure about what you have, post here and we'll try to help. If you don't want to take any chances, you can always downgrade to 01D first.
@dakok has created a handy chart for the different vendor ROMs here.
I just got my x722 today and I want to unlock the bootloader, root it, and flash TWRP. How do I do that?
Here you go: [GUIDE][X722] Unlock Bootloader + TWRP + ROOT
What ROMs are available for the x722? Will x720 ROMs work on the x722?
Some x720 ROMs are indeed compatible with the x722, but need to be ported to the x722, therefore not all x720 ROMs work on the x722. If the ROM is not specifically for your device (i.e. labelled as being for the x722), don't flash it. For example, MIUI is not available for the x722 because no one has ported it from the x720 to the x722. If you flash, say, MIUI 9 for LEX720 on your x722, you'll end up with a soft brick, most likely.
Remember to make a Nandroid backup of your eUI ROM before flashing any other ROM!
Downgrading to the 01D ROM won't harm your phone in any way, but this ROM's performance isn't the best compared to normal 20s or 26s vendor (shop) ROMs. It's a developer's ROM, after all. So if you ever want to return to eUI, you'll want to make a backup of your vendor/shop eUI ROM via Nandroid if you're sick of custom ROMs for whatever reason.
I want to go back to eUI from a custom ROM. What should I do?
If you want to return to the 01D 20s ROM, you have to flash it through the stock LeEco recovery, NOT TWRP! Do not attempt to flash the .bat file from this package or the update.zip from this package via TWRP or you might screw up your device royally. If you absolutely need to go back to this ROM for whatever reason, you need to flash the stock recovery first through fastboot.
I recommend you follow my advice and make a Nandroid backup of your 20s vendor/shop eUI ROM or the 01D ROM (if you had to downgrade because you were on a stock LeEco ROM) before flashing anything else on your device. Guys, it's basic XDA knowledge to make a Nandroid backup of stock software before attempting anything... c'mon now.
Feel free to correct/add to this thread as you see fit. Thanks.

And what's the latest version available of Official ROM?
Sorry for many questions, I do not know anything about the device.

Hi.
I guess i got the same rom as you on my LEX722, and there isn't any OTA checker. I recommend you to flash a custom rom if you want, or, flash modded Genesys 26S which has modded kernel so it won't lock up your bootloader.

Ok, let me quickly explain.
You are on a vendor rom, but any "20s" is a good rom (EUI 5.8.020S even if the build is different)
Although there is another "official" rom, YOU SHOULD NOT INSTALL IT, because then you won't be able to unlock bootloader and if you do that, you simply cannot modify your phone any more.
I highly recommend that you make a nandroid backup or a twrp backup (and if you can, provide it to me, because I need it).
LeEco is not making anymore phones, so you won't have any more official updates, so you won't have any nougat neither oreo unless you flash a custom rom. The only rom provided here is a developer rom that has a "vendor patch", but it's not exactly an original stock/vendor rom.
How can i install the stock 26s? i'm on custom 8.1
I have the stock 26S (WIXCNFN5902607031S) that came with the phone. I checked and the bootloader is unlocked. Can I flash the twrp and the Pixel Experience?
