There is proper delayed of 10-15 seconds in between the moment I press send and the message is sent (1 tick appears) from my Sprint M9, the delay happens on all apps and it happens on WIFI and Mobile data both. This has really frustrated me and I really want to get rid of it already. Apart from that when I receive messages on whatsapp or snapchat I get the notification an hour or two late, this although doesnt happen with messenger, notifications of messenger are received instantly. Please help

I have a T-Mobile HTC HD2 1024 purchased on August 8th, 2010, it has all the new updates and stock ROM. I am having one issue with the device that really aggravates me. While I am in the Windows Mobile stock ROM and am receiving an SMS/ MMS message, the phone will freeze in whatever I am doing for about three seconds until it vibrates and alerts me that the message has been received. If I am not doing anything and the screen is off and I receive a text, the phone's screen will turn on, onto the lock screen for about 5-6 seconds before it alerts me that the text has been received. Does everybody have this problem and is there any way to fix it? Thanks upfront.
it's a known issue. it's HTCs stupid Messaging app. The only fixes are to either regularly delete all your texts (temp until it gets full again) or to disable HTC Messaging.
Is anyone else noticing it takes longer than usual (for an android phone) to send an SMS? I sent a 5 message long SMS (700+ characters) and it was on "Sending" for almost a minute. I know it takes longer to send longer messages, but on previous phones (D1, Fascinate), the "Sending" process would work in the background - so I can actually do other stuff on the phone while it sends. But the HTC Messaging app sends in the foreground, so I'd have to wait until it finishes sending to continue using the phone. I assume this is just the HTC Messenger app itself?
No issue w/ that on my end; however, had issues sending/receiving likely due to a previously discussed issue that a reply to number is sent with the messages initially that results in your friends not being able to reply back. A simple reboot seems to fix that for most people or you can disable that option in the messages menu from what I've read... but hadn't heard anything about delays in sending long messages yet...
Hi
i have some issues with the mate 10 pro notifications. especially with whatsapp -
from time to time my phone starts the whatsapp incoming massage ringtone (or vibration if its on vibrate mode) and stops halfway through the tone - when i open my phone i see no notification whatsoever.
i came to understand that this happens when i receive whatsapp massages from group chats that are muted (with notifications set to 'do not show notifications') - not every massage from those groups does that but from time to time when its happening its because of those massages (sometime i can see a push notification from those muted chats that disappears quickly - its as if my phone forgets those chats should not give notifications and reminds that after its starting to vibrate and ring)
this is extremely annoying as im getting those vibrates or notification sound even though im not suppose to.
did someone else experienced that? and maybe succeeded fixing that?
bump
anyone?

I don't have a solution, but I have similar issues with WhatsApp notifications. Usually I don't get the LED flashing, but I do see a notification when the phone is unlocked. Occasionally, I get no LED and no notification when the phone is unlocked. These phones have great hardware but rubbish software
Not a Huawei specific issue, had the same bull**** with WhatsApp on both the A8 and the Pixel 2 XL. Was OK on the Mate 10 and S9+.
I assumed it was a Huawei issue, as it's worked perfectly on every other phone that I and my wife have owned. The Huawei software has a habit of killing background processes, even when you tell it not to, so it seemed a reasonable assumption.
When there is a call in messenger I can see it on the screen and receive it but even after receiving it I can hear the other person's voice but also the ringtone at the same time for 5 secs. This happens everytime.
Also another issue. Sometimes when I use other app during that time messenger don't show the call as a drop down notification but at the end it popped up as missed call on the screen.
Hello,
I like having notifications for all apps turned on, but there is pretty annoying stuff going on in all messaging apps we have.
For example
-if someone is sending you texts or messages via messenger, whatsapp, or viber or anything else, you are getting constant notifications sound everyfew seconds.
-if you have group messages and people are sending messages you constantly getting notifications
My question is, is there a way you could enable for all apps that: If you receive notification from app X and get notification sound, and if you get another notification from the same app, the sound does not happen because it is such short time before last and this notification. And we could setup for example allow sound only after there was 1min or 5 min after last notification sound, when it allows for the sound to happen again.
That way you could receive notification sound only every 1min or 5min or whatever you setup, if you have group chat and people are constantly typing something. Because if not, you are getting the sound every 3seconds.
I hope you understand and can help with this
Thank you
