I have a usb otg dual usb 3 flash disk with micro usb sa***sk, i try to my redmi 3 pro but always "USB storage damage. You may have... ... ...
Anyone have solution for this, I try formatting the usb with minitools partition wizard with fat32 but still damage. On ESFileexplorer name usb is usb10002.

Try formatting via the Android itself.
On redmi 3 note storage i've not found formatting usb storage
Use twrp mount usb org and format from there.

After changing my internal SD card to a 16GB one, I cannot connect the USB to a PC anymore.
Internally it is recognized, and can be used normally.
But when I connect to the USB and click on Connect to USB it says 'remove cable' and when I remove the cable it says 'Connect cable'.
With USB debugging ON (which I normally use) I normally see in the notifications 'USB connected' and when I click on this I can mount the memory card to the PCas mass storage.
But this notifications does not appear anymore.
Rebooted, put back the old 8 GB card many times it does noty help.
How can I mount the USB to the PC again ?
EDIT: It was the problem on the PC (Macbook Pro) side: another port on the PC did mount. After rebooting the Mac, the port worked again.
But the issue with USB debugging OFF is still there : I need USB debugging ON to mount the sdcard to a PC (not only my Macbook but alo a Ubuntu laptop).
Since yesterday I have no USB Connection:
I have been tried this:
- Different SO (windows and Ubuntu)
- Differente cables and PC's
- Different ROM's
- Install Reinstall drivers
and
- Recovery Menu -> Mounts and Storage -> Mount USB Storage (fail)
The message: "USB Mass Storage device Leaving this menu unmount your SD card from your PC"
My SD card works fine with pen drive (with MicroSD input)

I'd make a partition internal memory in minitool partition wizard in pc connected as usb mass storage wherein the internal has 16gb in my S-II running official update JB 4.1.2(rooted)

When I reboot the phone and get started, checking errors always in notification/ status bar, and it shows Damage USB storage USB storage is damage. Try reformatting it..
I also checked the starage info and only the external sd card 32gb has read and the usb/internal storage has nothing
ive tried to reformatt said usb so many times but its notified me again and again the same notification in status bar and can't mounted in recovery for manually reformatting.. (cn't mount usb storage or emmc)
and I'd tried to connect to pc to connect the usb mass storage but only the sd card drive shows on pc and the usb storage has gone.
help me how to fix this issue.. God Bless..

I flashed via odin with pit, "emmc_EXT4_16GB.pit"
Just to add information for other users future reference as I just encountered the same issue.
If flashing the pit file doesnt work, you will have to flash both the pit file as well as the stock rom.
Clear the data and cache and let it boot up. It will auto recreate and reformat the usb storage (internal sdcard)

Whenever i plug in my 4GB usb stick into the phone (using usb otg cable) i get an error Usb storage damaged, please format. A month ago it worked perfectly now all of sudden i've got this error. It does work on the pc and i already formatted it countless times, even used different formats (ntsf, fat, fat 32, exfat ...).

I bought a sandisk dual drive otg 64gb
when i connect it to the phone there is no notification about it but it gets mounted
so no problem there
but the real problem is when i try to unmount it
it says that the unmounting is in process but does not unmount the usb
btw the usb is formatted on FAT32 file system
also stick mount and otg helper apps from play dont work
any solutions??
