Boot loops in AOSP & Los based Roms. - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hey guys having trouble here. I recently tried to dualboot a ROM next to fulmics but couldn't really figure it out so I stopped the process. I then tried to flash resurrection remix with open Gapps and it started out all good but then it froze during the installation of apps from Google play. I'd remove the battery to reboot it, it'd boot again and freeze again. I then flashed back to fulmics then tried CRdroid today. Same issue. I had no issues flashing resurrection remix before I tried to dualboot. Fulmics and stock work fine but I'm missing AOSP based ROMs. Also to note I did full wipes both times and was using latest open Gapps. Any help or insight to my issues would be greatly appreciated.

Can't run Paranoid Android 5.1

Hello guys,
I have problems running latest official PA for GT-I9300 (Int'l).
After wiping dalvik, cache, system and data I installed rom zip and gapps zip and rebooted. Phone automatically rebooted me to recovery (TWRP 2.8.5.0).
Again I wiped everything installed rom zip and now I tried installing boeffla kernel 3.1 CM12 NG and gapps zip. After rebooting I see installing apps and when it completed all my applications forceclosed and phone rebooted. Now I keep getting optimizing apps and when it completes phone just reboots.
I tried doing same thing but with leanKernel AOSP v5.1 but I get same thing as installing no kernel.
I appreciate any kind of help. If you need more information just ask.
Thank you.
Official Paranoid is the only LP-ROM for S3, which doesn't boot with build-in kernel. So don't expect anything from that and take Gokulbalram's Inofficial.

6.0 roms fail to start up

So i wanted to get an idea of what more refined marshmallow builds will start looking like in the near future and decided to flash Resurrection Rmx 6.0 Flashed it and also flashed banks 6.0 gapps. Boots up thru "optimizing apps" dialogue then says "starting apps" but hangs there for eternity. So i go back re wipe and reflash RM 6.0 and this time tried the other recommended gapps slim zero and same process and same result. So i tried Xenon HD with both gapps packages and same result. Clearly it's a problem with my phone because others have no problems. I can boot Lollipop roms just fine. Could it be a partition issue? I'm on zv4/6 rpm and tz versions and ZVC modem. Any ideas?
I've been using this build of CM13 the last few days, its the first one that I got to boot past what you described.
https://ci.galliumos.org/job/cm13/device=ls990,jdk=OpenJDK7,label=android
using opengapps stock zip
Errors on boot.
So I tried clean flashing barebum v1 & v2 , illusion ROM and resurrection and while they do boot and everything I can not use them.
Barebums boots up but can not pass the green activation windows...after the WiFi connect it returns to first page.illusion and resurrection give google play services errors and lg keyboard error and you can't continue .

Ressurected Remix 7.1 ROM, updated SuperSU and now in bootloop.

I got Resurrection Remix 7.1 (official 3/15) installed and working and I have never run a custom ROM before on any phone, but I must say WOW. This work(ed) so beautifully. Very responsive and clean interface and the battery life was looking phenomenal. It was basically everything I could have wanted and then some.
Now the bad news. I was trying to run a file manager that seemed to lack root access and I clicked on SuperSu which said it needed to update, I chose "update normally" instead of via TWRP. It ran and said it succeeded but needed a reboot. Now I am in the "Get Resurrected" bootloop and I don't know if there is any way to recover at this point. I can obviously get back into TWRP and I tried wiping and re-flashing 35B bootstack and RR ROM zips. No luck.
Before this ROM I was thinking seriously of upgrading from G3 to something newer but after seeing how well this runs on the G3 hardware I don't see any reason to upgrade given how well this run, though I only had it up to test for 4-5 hours.
Any help would be appreciated. I did find another post on CM13 in bootloop from SuperSu install/update and flashing a 'make permissive selinux' fix which worked for this situation. I am wondering if it may work for RR bootloop as well? Again any help would be appreciated.
Big thanks to Rohlm who suggest system format before re-installing!
I went into the Wipe options in TWRP and selected the format data and then went through the install steps again. Data, cache, Dahlvik wipe, 35B bootstack flash, RR 7.1 flash, gapps 7.1 arm flash and I'm now "Re-Resurrected!" And I checked still have root access!
Cheers,
-Scott

Android Pie android.process.media keeps stopping

Hey guys,
Googe play services keeps stopping
android.process.media keeps stopping
bluetooth keeps stopping
at the first start (google register)
I tried: 2 different roms: mcaosp + pixel, newest gapps (nano), flashed data, cache, dalvik + system
Do you have any solutions/ tipps? I want to try pie
Greetings
I had this problem too, tried all variants of gapps, bitgapps. All variants of twrp, all pie ROMs and same error. You can try and see that if you create a second user in the phone, suddenly all works perfectly.
tl;dr:Just try crdroid ROM, the one worked for me on the owner user
Flash the ROM first without gapps then boot normally.Turn off phone,go to TWRP and then flash GAPPS.
Had this issue many times and its quite annoying.
Thanks for the answers. I tried this 2 times ;(
It just dont work with your tipps. I will go back to oreo until I get news about this
no fix yet ;/
Flashed all except usb otg + sd card, installed firmware 9.6.2 and tried syberia + arrow rom. (Followed the install tutorials)
Android PIE dont like me ;(
EDIT: Got AOSP Extended to work but now it searches for updates since 10 minutes. (I have good wlan <.<)

LineageOS/Pixel Experience don't work properly after returning to stock

Hi all, this is my first question here.
I reverted to the stock ROM (11.2.0 Global), which I got from here, from LineageOS 17.1, but when I reinstall LineageOS, the phone shuts down during the first boot, and in subsequent reboots the phone shuts down after a few seconds, making it impossible to complete the setup process.
I followed all the steps, including formatting data and then doing an advanced wipe of /system and /cache in TWRP before installing LineageOS, and there were no error messages during the installation.
Thankfully, the stock ROM works fine, but I'd like to reinstall LineageOS.
Can anyone please help me with this?
Update: the same issue occurs with Pixel Experience.
The same happened to me too, for me I fixed it by flashing permissiver zip after flashing rom.
This was only needed only once after switching to custom rom from stock, after that you can flash roms normally i.e without permissiver.
Happend to me too ,after many tries got it fixed by flashing LOS 16 then clean flashed LOS 17.1 without cleaning the vendor partition. But for me PE was working fine only LOS 17.1 had issue like constant shutdown after installation when its boot up.
