[Q] Samsung Galaxy SL (GT I9003) Issues

Hi,
I am having a lot of problems with my Galaxy SL (I9003DDKA5) which I purchased in May 2011.
I cannot access most of the apps(all the games, the Youtube app, Twitter, Facebook, the Playstation app, Imdb, google plus, home switcher etc, etc.) A stopped unexpectedly report is displayed when I try to open any applications except for the factory ones. Whenever i try to install any applications, even an update to the Facebook application I cannot access, a application not signed correctly message is displayed.
I deleted the Facebook application and removed most of my widgets. Then i rebooted the phone, and when it was back up, the facebook application was back and all those applications also. Further, every time i reset, there is an alarm for 2:30 PM on Tuesday that is set automatically. I don't remember setting this at any point of time and I delete it when I boot up but whenever the phone is rebooted, this alarm is back. Also, the phone keeps vibrating the way it does every time there is a force close message even though there isn't any.
All I am effectively able to do is make calls, text and use the browser. Also the Battery Notifier app still functions, as does the Captivate Keep Alive and Load monitor which have solved the freezing problem that has been plaguing me ever since I got this phone.
I have been facing these problems since yesterday afternoon
Can you guys please help me out? Do remember that I cannot install any apps from the Market. Will anything short of a factory reset help me at this time?
Thanks.

messenger apps (like whatsapp) not working over wifi

I've tried Kik messenger, whatsapp, Talk (Gtalk) and kakaotalk and none work on wifi, only on 3g. Everything else works on wifi, play store, web browsing and other apps that use internet like twitter, facebook and facebook messenger.
A bit weird isn't it?
WhatsApp and Google Talk are working fine for me on wifi. Could you tell us a bit about which rom you're using, if you are rooted and if you restored backups via TB? Please try wiping your dalvik cache, reinstall the apps and see if the problem persists.
sorry correction. whatsapp IS working, none of the others incl Talk. I could send a message to my brother via 3g, and on wifi it only says "sending". KIK has had some problems lately but the fact that Talk doesn't work beats me.
I'm running stock unrooted.
haha! this really seemed like something that wouldn't be solved with a simple reboot but maybe I should try reboots a little more often for trivialities like this cause it solved the problem.

[Q] Managing notifications on multiple Android devices

Hi I've been searching for this for a while now but no luck...
So I have two Android phones, let's say one S2 and one S3, and both have the same Google account, same Facebook account, Instagram, etc, but each has a Sim from a different provider. So sometimes I want to have both with me, sometimes I want to have only the S2 and others only the S3.
The problem is that when I'm at home or have both with me I really don't need both to start going off about the same email or Facebook update, and disabling notifications for some of those apps in only one phone has to be done under Applications in Settings because they Sync notifications settings across the account (Facebook does this), anyways using this approach would be very time consuming every time you would want to switch the phone that gets notifications. Now Cyanogen is known to have the profiles menu that can group apps and I believe turn off notifications for groups of apps with one touch. But I'm running stock on both..
I wanted to know if there is an App out there that can do something like this, group apps and disable notifications for that group with one touch. It would be even better if let's say you were actually using one of the phones and it would automatically know this disable notifications on the other or even geofence your home so that you can set what phone or device actually goes off when you are at home.

Problems with Twitter App on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

My wife recently reported that her Galaxy Tab was running slow. Sure enough it was being unresponsive and kept hanging.
I have done a factory reset and reloaded the apps. The problem one seems to be the Twitter app.
If you open it it prompts you for the username and password of the Twitter account. It then opens - frezzes - and after five minutes it closes again. It never gets any further.
If you look at application manager you can see that it starts running, closes, starts, etc etc.
Has anyone else had this problem and solved it.
I even tried factory reset, downloading ONLY twitter from the play store, and this behaviour still happens. In other words, it can't be conflicting with another downloaded app, but the Stock apps from Samsung or the Andriod opp system.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unstable before updating APPs?

Dear all.
I've observed that before updating, my mobile phone (S3 Galaxy i9300) becomes unstable: it works slowly and restart itself easily once at day. During these last days, I had about 15 uptates (at a rate of 2-3 per day), and now it is working smoothly and it's been 3 days with no restarts.
Does this make any sense? Why having old apps without updating causes this bad behavior?
Best regards.
I forgot to mention:
- Android 4.3 (samsung original and not rooted)
- I have disable all the bloatware: ChatOn, Chrome, Dropbox, Dropbox OOBE, Game Hub, Google Play Kiosko, Google Play Music, Google+, Hangouts, Play Games, TalkBack, Yahoo! Finance and Yahoo! News.

There's sme app causing instability.
Only solution for this is to hard reset your phone. Install all the apps you have now from playstore and wait for some time between installs and observe what app is causing this issue. Revert back after finding out the app and I'll help you sorting out.
You really have to root and de-bloat all the Samsung junk, I had the same problem with B-T-noot themed roms so I came back to stock 4.3 with Greenify, BBS (to monitor wakelocks), no Xposed, and no bloatware, handles light multitasking smoothly for 3 days with no restart.
I own an S6Edge that I only use outside work (Games, music, browsing and stuff) and an Exynos SGS3 for sms, mms, email, calls, and stuff, and I have to say in 3 years of owning this phone no rom has give me a smooth and stable experience as a stock 4.3 or back-to-noot.
The rogue behaviour will be caused by the google framework. When it updates the api it needs to update google apps to accommodate changes.

OK.
I'll root it and clean it up of any bloatware or Xposed, and i will se the result.
By the way, What do you mean by google framework?, do you refer to Google Play Services?
Best regards,
