Hey guys, I'm not a developer but I could use some help to be able to use my phone again. I just moved to another country and can't use SIM because it's locked by the original operator.
Well, I've managed to root the device (RootCheck says so) and installed SuperSu. What should I do now to unlock the phone's SIM capabilities? Install a new ROM? unlock bootloader?
Thank you in advance
Charo
There is no bootloader unlock for the D625 and, thus, no custom ROMs.
Flash an unbranded version of your phone's firmware with LG Flash Tool.
I've tried a couple KDZ but SIM is still locked.
Any other options for this?

Try one that says "open" or "unbranded".

Do it the ohter way round please if you've already flashed a custom kernel, go back to stock first through PC Companion and then relock the bootloader.

I'm guessing relocking the bootloader helped then?
Do you have S1Tool? I'm curious about the output of the identify-button
Chances are unlocking your bootloader will disable your network again.

There are three safe circumstances in which you can unlock your bootloader:
1: You bought your phone sim-unlocked, in which case it's got a simlock-certificate by sony-ericsson
2: You sim-unlock your phone using an unlock code from your carrier (emma/imei-code), usually free after your initial contract-period
3: You sim-unlocked your phone using Omnius (or something similar)
I just bought mine without a contract, it wasn't that expensive, about a year after they came out, so i've got no carrier lock-in, which is a bonus. Apart from that, sim-unlocking your phone using a code from your provider is the safest way to do things.
Flashtool will unlock your bootloader, but s1tool will give you the information you need to know if it's safe.

Omnius doesn't allow bootloader unlock after using it to SIM unlock. My phone is factory locked to T-Mobile UK and I've never unlocked it and my bootloader unlock was fine

Hi guys !
I think i have a problem with my xperia ray I`ve tried to flash a custom rom, but during that process there was an error and bricked my phone. I managed to bring it back to life, flashed stock 4.0.4 rom, but now i get "please insert SIM card and restart your phone"
The funny thing is that before i bricked it the bootloader unlock allowed was YES, and now it switched to NO.
Can someone help me ? Is there anything i can do ?

You must have flashed a carriers specific firmware for ray. Get this generic one and try - http://www.mediafire.com/?pp48w8v9z1adg59
And could you please tell us what the error was and how exactly you "bricked" it? Also, try going into fastboot mode and see if you can still flash a custom kernel.
Thank you for your answer ! bricking it was very easy ... I tried to flash CM 10, wipe - factory reset / cache, and during the new rom install it was an “Status 7″ Error in ClockworkMod Recovery. After this I used s1tool to bring it back to life and flashed a new rom, which I though was the right one (ST18i_4.1.B.0.587_CE_1252-3693). I`ll try to flash the rom you pointed and see what happens.
Nope, that rom didn`t helped, still the same problem.
The phone was bough form vodafone spain, had a vodafone custom rom, no SIM LOCK and bootloader unlock allowed : YES, but after i did that mess, and install a new rom i get bootloader unlock allowed: NO and "please insert SIM card and restart your phone", no mater if there is a SIM CARD inserted or not ...

Why did you use s1tool to "bring back to life"? Maybe you (re)locked your bootloader? What exactly did you with s1tool to bring your phone back to life?
Btw: The status7 error caused by updater-sricpt in cm10 rom zip.
If you searched this Q thread (or cm10 thread) there is a solution for that. (copy the updater-script from CM rom zip edit with notepat++ and delete first lines till mount. Copy back, overwrite old updater-script and the cm10 flash don't shows "status7 error")

now your phone is on locked bootloader and sim locked too?
It says: bootloader unlock allowed: no?
Before you unlocked it was simfree? You wrote, that the phone is voda/Spain you have voda simcard?
Have you tried other ftf? (not for Centar Europe - CE)
Edit:
- Have you cheched your baseband? see post
Yes the phone was both locked on bootloader (bootloader unlocked alowed: NO ) and SIM LOCK ( not sure about this, since i don`t have the Voda/Spain sim anymore, but all the other ones where useless)
Anyway, i took the easy way and used WotanServer to solve my problem. Now the bootloared changed back to "bootloader unlocked alowed: YES" and i can use any SIM card.
I think my mistake was using s1tool after the Status 7 Error in ClockworkMod Recovery. I guess s1tool changed my bootloader status... if i had used just flashtool and do just a stock rom flash... But we learn as long as we live :silly:
Thank you all for you`re answers !

Just got an E10a off eBay and PC Companion would only update it to 2.0.1.A.0.47. I think I need 2.1.1 and a specific baseband to flash CM, but I can't use a E10i 2.1.1 FTF or I will lose the 3G connection.
I just wanted to verify, from my reading here, that if I wanted to flash miniCM10 I should flash chavito's E10a rom with the appropriate baseband (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294579) then unlock the bootloader and flash after that?

Yes, and make sure your phone isn't locked to a provider, the bootloader unlock may disable the entire radiochip (2G/3G). You can unlock the bootloader, boot into the ROM and see if you get signal, if you don't you have to lock the bootloader again.
(If you play with flashtool, DELETE the10blrelock.ftf from the flashtool/firmware folder, it will hardbrick your phone if flashed accidentally)
Thanks for the quick reply! Carrier unlocking is the other question I have. I've tried a couple of places to get the IMEI-based unlock code, but none of them can find it. So I'm thinking of getting a USB unlock from this place:
https://www.fastgsm.com/en/sonyericsson/xperia-x10-mini-e10i/unlock-network/flashing-debrand
It says that it will carrier unlock AND unlock the bootloader as well. So I should use that unlock service after I flash chavito's ROM but before I flash miniCM10?

I don't know if your phone is locked to a provider, or which one if it is. The site you refer to says it can only do it for a limited number of countries and providers, but it don't list which ones up front, so be careful with that. If sim-cards from different providers work on your phone, just skip that and unlock the bootloader using flashtool. But yes, you should first flash that latest firmware before you unlock the bootloader.
I have a non-international phone so without code from Lg I cant unlock bootloader. Some guys are doing things. I could not understand difference.
are they trying to root a already unlocked phone or are they trying to unlock bootloader?

This is only helpful is they have the H850 or H830 model number. If they do not, then unfortunately there is no root available but we are doing EVERYTHING we can to get this to work.
mine is LG G5 850 TR so from I cant unlock bootloader so no chance to root.
I have LG G5 850 TR,too. Someone must give us unlock code!
Do they mean network unlocking or bootloader unlock? Has anyone been successful in unlocking their bootloader on this website?
I have this device and it's for cricket and it says not a supported device at the Motorola website. So tho I have the twrp I can't flash it until I unlock my bootloader which I pray someone can get around. That's what you guys do fingers crossed....but until there's a way to unlock my bootloader I have to look at the twrp and root images without being able to use them or root ....someone told me you can flash a different bootloader so I figured someone with the same Motorola G Power 2021 but different carrier can provide you their firmware and images for boot and so on. Plz help thanks again and Merry Xmas to all

You could always download the firmware from other moto builds and variants on the lolinet site. The problem is you will most likely brick your device attempting to flash, if you're even able to, or using RSA to trick it into recovering a build not designed for your phone. I'm not experienced with Cricket devices, but I'm assuming since they are based on ATT network that they are not eligible for bootloader unlocking. Though that's a huge guess on my part since that normally is up to the carrier and both ATT and Verizon find much of their purpose executing their right to do so to their hearts content.

That website talks about "network unlocking" as you call it. Not bootloader unlocking.
