So last week I bought an unlocked optimus g from amazon, the At&t e 970 model. At the time I received the cell phone, I didn`t have a sim card to test with it, so I just started doing the usual procedures to install custom roms, like rooting unlocking the bootloader etc. I`ve done that, made a complete wipe, and got stuck with a phone with no rom and I couldn`t find the custom rom I had transfered to the internal Sd. After I managed to transfer the custom rom to my external SD, I flashed it with clocworkmod. The phone seemed to be working well in all aspects, but when I finally got my hands on a sim card, the phone was not recognizing it. I thought it could be the rom I have, so I tried different custom roms, and ended up flashing the stock JB rom from At&t. That did not solve the problem either, I thought it could be the sim card that was causing the problems, but after trying a friend`s sim card that is working, the phone still had the same problem with not detecting the sim card. Now my question is, could I`ve possibly screwed the cell phone`s radio/firmware because of all the custom roms I`ve installed, and if so where can I find the original JB image, as i can`t find these anywhere. I`m pretty sure my EFs partitions are OK, as I can retrieve the IMEI from the cellphone through the dialer. I`m sorry if this information is available elsewhere, but I`ve been looking around and haven`t found everything I need.|
Thanks

Ye did not looketh hardeth enougheth, seek and ye shall find. Jokes aside, I screwed up my radio by flashing the E977 radio, had the same issue as you. I tried some of the radios on that link and managed to get the sim recognized, problem is my phone worked flawlessly with the 1900 band but had trouble with the 850 band(got no signal or very weak signal). Read through the thread, my issue was mencioned there and someone asked me to test something to get the 850 band working again(thing is i gave my phone to my mom and she uses the 1900 band so i couldn't test).

Thanks for the reply first of all. I`ve followed your advice and tried different radios, but with no luck, I still get the no sim card inserted icon on the notification bar. I`m worried this may be a hardware related problem, maybe something wrong with the motherboard. I want to know for sure that it is a hardware problem, so I can restore the phone to factory specs and return it to amazon. Could this be a firmware related issue? I don`t know what else could be causing this.

Seems like a hardware issue then since any of those radios should have worked. Follow the guide to return to stock.

I am following the procedure to install back to stock, I have LGNPST installed, but when I connect the phone in download mode, my computer does not recognize the phone, and therefore nothing shows up in LGNPST. I have tried fixing the drivers automatically, but windows fails to do so, and I have also tried to update it manually, with no luck. whenever I connect the device in download mode, it shows that there is driver problem. Is there another way to flash the .bin image?

I have that issue with my laptop with win 7, try another pc, preferably one with xp, that worked for me.
I bought a Lg f6 Metro PCS version a few weeks ago. I rooted it with Kingo Root, flashed the freedom kernel on it, created an adb with my laptop, Titanium backup, ROM installer, ROM Light, SuperSu, etc. Created a permanent Clockwork recovery and had also flashed the Experion custom rom on it. Up until then the phone was running great no problems. Tuesday night I tried to upgrade to a different version of Android the phone has 4.1.2 on it. I downloaded 5 zip files from the internet. Transfered them to the external sdcard flashed the first one it was fine. Then I flashed a radio zip and the phone went into reboot mode. The phone became soft bricked stayed at the LG icon nothing else. I then flashed the Experion custom rom again and the phone rebooted and came out of soft brick mode. Booted the rom back into normal mode. Here is the issue I lost stock rom on the phone, baseline is unknown now, and the phone's identity imei and everything else that comes up on the screen in the settings menu is blank. Other things were lost like keyboard and the dialer pad, phone is working but I think it might be bugged some way. Is there a way the original Android rom can be put back on the phone and all the above mentioned things be restored. I have already bought a new phone. I want to see if I can fix it before I decide to just scrap it. Are there any shops or professional services that specialize in Android software recovery/programing.
P.s I have tried flashing every stock rom, kdz, and the such on my own no such luck the little Android icon on custom recovery just goes into error state.
Thanks!
Ok so I own a smn910t, I bought it unlocked so I could use it with my service provider (att) the phone was using kit Kat 4.4.4 and I wanted the update so I went onto tmobile s support page and downloaded 5.1.1 after the phone was locked to tmobile again, since then I tried to get an unlock code from tmobile they said I can't get one by I didn't have an accout with them and they said to call samsung, Samsung told me to call rentacenter, where I bought the phone, rentacenter told me to do a data reset and it would go back to the original os, well that didn't work so I flashed the twrp and I've wiped everything, so now I have a note 4 with no os or anything on it, just twrp and when I try to flash the stock rom it fails everything I've tried re-downloading the rom and using a different USB cable and different port, fails everytime, can anybody help me, I love this phone and right now it's useless, 900$ wasted
My Lg G5 (Tmobile) keeps on rebooting to recovery mode (TWRP) no matter what rom I flash. I tried using LG Up software but no matter how many times I install the driver phone is not recognized. Firstly I flashed Fulmics ROM then I installed LineageOS (Cyanogenmod) after that phone was working fine for a while till I saw an update and tried updating it to new nightly version. Please help me out if anyone knows how can I fix this issue.
You probably need to put the phone in download mode and then try LG up otherwise try pushing a rom that works through adb

I am sure this method would fix it but I already returned my phone and got new one as I had 1 year warranty. I bought it from T-mobile and I locked the bootloader before turning in the phone so it doesn't look like I was trying anything fishy. Now instead of phone going to twrp each time it goes to boolop saying "device is currupted and won't boot". It won't go to recovery mode no matter what I do and hope I don't get charged from T-mobile saying this and that.
However, I am really grateful to all of you great people who tried their best to help and you sir actually threw me a solution but I was too impatient to wait for it. I know this method will work no matter what as I had been using this tool for my G2 in old days and fixed the worse bricks where I had to openup the whole phone take battery out and stuffs like this. I was looking for this method found everything but LG tool asked me for .dll file which I couldn't find anywhere and decided to give up on it...
Thank you for your help and now I know I am not going to be bricked anymore as I have this method to work with in future issues and am her waiting badly for Xposed to be available for Nougat.

Good to hear that, You are welcome,
And as you mentioned about "device is corrupted and won't boot", that's because you locked bootloader. And as you were using twrp which means modified system partition so phone said that. But you can still go to download mode and use the method to make it live or can try unlocking bootloader to start twrp.
I experienced similar situation. I thought I had to send my phone for repair. As I was able to put the phone to download mode, I used uppercut with downloaded kdz file from LG G5 development thread and restored my phone. I didn't use my phone for four days thinking that I had to take to a phone shop or send to service center. But after careful reading of unbrick tutorials, I brought my phone back to life. Now I can play flashing anything as I am confident that I can easily unbrick my phone.

A few days ago I got my G5 H830 and came with version 6.0.1 h83010i, looking for information on how to install custom rom, I read the post to install the .TOT file to be able to install TWRP and through this the Custom Rom, until there is Everything okay, I did everything right, but then I decided to go back to the Rom stock, on the night of that same day I saw that when I reboot my cell phone it stuck on the LG logo and it had some color pixels damaged (but no screen Damaged, if not because of small brick) then force a restart and continued the same, I did factory reset by stock recovery and then normal start, I went to sleep leaving it in 100% battery, and when I wake up in the morning the cell phone It is off, when I turn it on 5% and I get scared, then I wanted to go back to custom rom to leave those problems behind, but then when I install the TOT again and install the custom ROM it will restart half installed and any rom that installed it would stay Stuck and the LG logo and a bootloop until when it was flash the kdz several times until the cell did not want to ignite more, the pc does not recognize it or anything, I need help with this.
Good day guys.. I just recently started facing a problem with my phone and I need help urgently. At first I forgot my mobile anti-theft password and locked myself out when changed my SIM card. I eventually found a solution by flashing my stock rom using sp flash tool (every option was checked). after this was done successfully , I noticed that whenever I force my phone to 3G only (did this using *#*#3646633#*#*> Network selecting) it never shows a single signal bar. But before this, after flashed my phone I had invalid imei so i solved this by using *#*#3646633#*#*( you probably know the rest). Ok let me continue, during this my problem with the 3G only feature, I began to think that this had something to do with my initial invalid imei, so I decided to do a little research and this is when I stumbled upon SN write tool. In order to use this, i thought it was best to return to the invalid imei stage and so I flashed my ROM again with all the options checked. After this my phone would not come on no matter how many times i pressed my buttons, so i just abandoned my phone for like 6 hours and it eventually came on. So i proceeded to changing my imei using SN writ tool, I installed all the drivers the tutorials i saw said said were necessary eg CDC driver, VCOM driver, etc. And this when I noticed my BIG problem which are:
1. I could complete the task
2. My phone could not charge when switched off.
3. My PC can't detect my phone when switched off.
so far I have tried flashing my phone with sp flash tool to no avail and I have uninstalled all the drivers that I installed....
Sorry about the long story please, I need help, I can't get to my care centre exert as a last resort as it is very far from where I stay. I use a Malata N455 (also known officially as Malata M6 in my country). It runs on Android 5.1 lollipop and Mt6580 chipset. THANK YOU. PS: I can't enter recovery mode cuz no button combination has ever worked for me.
I'm still a big fan of 1-800#s and that's why I always sign an at&t contract even though I don't need to. I'm sure you took out battery not that I know what this will do.I do miss uscellular! No sim card but I did manage to mess that up being curious wondering fee what's A band and B band and found out real fast It said if you want to make a collect call when I opened it.
