Hi dudes
So I was wondering if there's a way to increase internal storage on this device
Because well nowadays 4Gb of available memory is.. Well.. Too short
So I heard of the partition table tool, but when I tried It show "parted not found" so I couldn't do anything (Sorry I'm a real noob in this domain)
Note : I'm on RR nougat
And what do you think about adoptable storage with a sd card ? Will it slow my device down ?
Thank you for your help

I'm using adopted storage and it's great. For my personal use I have enough storage for everything I need..
Is the problem to access to recovery with adoptable storage still exist ? And how can we do to pass through it

I believe it is fixed.
Though, @mobiusm can say for sure.

I never had problems accessing TWRP with adopted storage, nor do I have now.

In order to partition through adb you need twrp 2.8.7.0. It has parted. Just follow the instructions of page 1 of this thread (h)ttps://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/d620-partition-table-tool-t3107664/page1. And make sure to reboot recovery and then format data and cache partitions. You can have up to 6gb of free data, you will need to use the 5.2 gb data in order for rr nougat to work.
Okay... I just tried, but what I was afraid of just happened, I can't access to the recovery (stuck in Twrp logo) and I can't move any app to the sd card, an "insufficient space" error showed up

But... Is there any risk of sd card corruption when you remove it ?

Yes, there is.
However, if you disconnect it from android settings or power off the phone, before removing it, then you are safe.
Okay thanks now I have an access to recovery
But with adoptable storage I still can't move anything to SD card and I don't have access to the original internal storage...

With adaptable storage, the SD gets encrypted.
In order to able to use it on anything else than the phone, you will need to format it. Use a PC or a recovery that boots.

Hi all,
I just noticed that my mass storage is not displaying my actual 32GB as it used to when It had Gingerbread on...instead it now displays only 11.4GB as the mass storage space available...can somebody clarify this to me? Am I missing something? I have checked my apps usage and there's nothing that's using up all the space, I don't even have any movies or anything that may take up the space..so i'm not sure what's going on here. I also remember it used to show around 29GB instead of 32, but not 11GB as it is doing now !!!
I'm on OMEGA Rom Series 7 (ICS)

did you mount your external sd on pc and check the size? goto disc management in windows and see if you accidentally partitioned your card.

Btw, I'm talking about the Mass storage not the memory card...my memory card is fine.
A friend just told me that something may have partitioned my mass storage by mistake or something...is there a way to fix this Via CWM without having to erase everything??
That is common for people that flash a rom with the wrong pit (which you should never use) The only fix is to get the right pit file and flash your phone again.
shadowofdarkness is correct, if not you are seeing your external as internal (some custom roms or CWMs tend to mix this up) and it's a partitioning problem.
Thanks alot shadowdarkness for the hint...I was going nuts...I reflashed with the correct pit file and the mass storage is correct now

I had the same problem ...
Its basically 10GB part memory of yours internal is unallocated.
Google "Mini Tool parition wizard" and drag your unallocated memory to full !!
And there you go !!

Please look at the picture.
System partition should be 2GB, internal storage is 11.51GB.

English Instructions
Disappearance of internal storage, I have recovered over.
I'm going mobile phone built-in memory copy more than a 500GB ROM last night, found that the use of USB connection computer copy too slow, directly unplug the USB cable, the result is a internal storage card cannot be identified, I reboot into recovery mode to internal storage(/storage/sdcard1) for NTFS format. After reboot, mobile phone disappeared after restart 10Gb internal storage back.
Before I had formatted internal storage, but the size of 1GB, I don‘t know why this format after the normal.

Can i do it?, Did anyone tried it? in TWRP
Yes we need more internal but not without the access of the extra space (i bet google is working on it) but still does this work

You can as long as you are using the builds where adopted SD is working. If you are using Link2sd, trust me its not worth. Have done it already and went back to link2sd.

No you can't.
Either you can use it as internal through adopted sd card feature or you can partition it and use other similar apps.
If you do partition your card and insert it in a fully working marshmallow rom with adopted sd feature working, it will detect it as a corrupted sd card and will ask you to format it (and repartition it on its own).
Well hello first of all this is my first time posting and sorry if it's the wrong place
So well you see I have Lenovo A516 and I had a custom lollipop ROM installed in it and my sdcard and internal storage was already linked in this ROM so I was enjoying myself until it got bricked by itself so I went into twrp recovery and wiped everything too flash ROM but it wouldn't flash because my sdcard isn't getting detected and I get following errors
E: can't mount sdcard
E: can't mount internal storage
E:can't mount sdcard while loading GUI (something like that)
And yes I have read other threads about it but my problem isn't the same ....I removed my sd card yet I still get these errors and I can't download anything out of market like songs from browser or anything ..I will check my card if it's damaged but still I shouldn't get errors after removing it which I do get so plz help me ...I thought it might be a rom so I flashed allegro ROM using PC and a flash tool but still the problem exists

This is an issue that happens on multiple devices. Happened to me on some of my older phones. I always found that it was much more effective to store the rom .zip file on your internal storage rather than your SD card.
