Because lineage uses the default AOSP color defined in source.... bu you can find the pixel style color scheme in RR ROM.

Q: Can you add (insert feature here) from (insert other ROM here) so it can be more like (insert other ROM here)?
A: If they have their source posted, then probably. If I feel it's needed or beneficial to performance then I'll consider it. One thing to remember is that I build this to suit my needs first, and it's release to the public for those who want to use it, but take it as it is. If you want Screw'd to be more like (insert other ROM here) then maybe you should use (insert other ROM here). Screw'd is.................different.
Q: How can I build this myself for another device that I own?
A: Screw'd is completely open-sourced. If you want to build for another device then you can start at my Github manifest page. Remember, it'll be up to you to make the source work with your device, and any device related support from me will be somewhat limited. If you want to be an official device maintainer then let me know.
More as they come......

It does not force encryption.
That is old, it is only layers. No cmte. Good catch.
Nice seeing you release something for the 6P, I know it's going to be worth going through the ball break of flashing. Multi-ROM support, do you know something we don't?

Really liking the sound of this ROM! Quick question, can I flash another kernel after flashing the ROM? I'm really wanting to try Fechda-kernel and since this ROM is SELinux permissive and so is that particular kernel, this would be the perfect switch for me if they play nice together. I'm running the latest Chroma and ElementalX with SELinux enforcing, after a wipe/data reset will it be possible to flash these 2 together? Many thanks!

Is AK actually doing a 6P kernel, or are you just making one from his sources from OPO? Any chance of uploading the kernel separately? I use to love AK on the OPO.
Thanks

This looks amazing, but you know...I'm not so sure you or this rom can be trusted.
I mean, you might have included software that makes it easier for the NSA to spy on us, or perhaps a direct link to the SETI sensor array.
In fact, I bet flashing this soi-disant rom is akin to breaking the Oslo Accords.
Could be true.

Rom specs look awesome....thank you for your work.
I tend to use the custom kernels not for performance but for the ability to adjust right speaker independently which I don't think viper4android can do and to adjust color temperature of the display.
Does their ROM have or will it ever have pie? I have yet to see a 6p ROM have it. Lmt pie is okay but has limitations since its not a system application.
Also do you recommend a particular gapps package?
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Free mobile app
ROM don't have pie at the moment not sure if it will banks gapps works great with this beast you can adjust color also through kernel app much alohas

also isn't lineage based on aosp too? for example NULL kernel that is for aosp based rom works on lineage...
I'm not getting the difference.
maybe

Lineage based on AOSP? AOSP-CAF.
Don't get headache from "lineage" kernel version as the kernel is compiled from the same source as LineageOS kernel tree. Also, we could boot kernel compiled from LineageOS kernel tree on AOSP based ROMs (just try boot NULL kernel with this ROM).

That's why I supposed that lineage wass also aosp based, now googling aosp-caf
EDIT: lokking for aosp-caf found this in changelog of cypherOS 3.6:
Complete rebase on AOSP/CAF 7.0 (HAL)
so to me looks like really close to lineage, aoscp not based on lineage but both based on aosp/caf and both with same kernel.

Just because we have commits from cyanogen / lineage doesn't mean we're based on them. Every ROM shares code with each other. Lineage has some commits from AICP, does that mean they're based on AICP? This is an unofficial build with unofficial device sources. That has nothing to do with the ROM and what it's based on. I've compiled other ROMs with lineage kernels, that doesn't mean they're based on lineage.
Lineage is based on AOSP/CAF 7.1.1. We use AOSP as a base with CAF 7.0 HALs, just as well as many other AOSP ROMs. To be based on lineage you must be something like AICP or CrDroid or RR. They get all of their updates from lineage instead of upstream AOSP. When security patches or new Android releases come out, they have to wait for Lineage to merge them so they can. AOSP ROMs don't. We can merge it right from AOSP and be fine with it.

Thank's I've asked because of my ignorance about the differences from an aosp based rom and lineage based.
I didn't mean that this is based on lineage I just saw lineage mentioned in the kernel and not in the credits and this made me think that it is an aosp based on lineage like RR or AICP at first (also because I've read somewhere that aosp was discontinued and CM was the only one from where all the other roms were based).
Then I've found the changelog and discovered that AOSP is just one part and found out CAF stuff and now I learned also a new thing that the CAF in lineage is different from the one you are using.
So thankyou all for clarifications and sorry if my post were written in a way that could be misunderstood. :highfive:
EDIT: Uh, sorry but I've another question now...
if this rom is based on CAF 7.0 why in the title there is [7.1.1] are those different things?

We merged in Android 7.1.1, therefore were based on Android (AOSP) 7.1.1. I think you need to do some research on exactly what CAF is just to get the best possible understanding. CAF isn't Android in itself.
CAF is a Qualcomm framework that is used to get devices other than Nexus or Pixel running Android. Without CAF, your device and no other Qualcomm device would be able to run Android or any ROMs for that matter and if you could it would be super buggy and laggy or probably wouldn't even boot

It's really minimal tbh, doesn't really have much feature, and doesn't lag like the cyanogen camera, I don't take photos much so it's perfect for me, if you want a camera with nice manual functions then I guess you won't like it

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit their Gerrit Code Review.
Info
I'll start this thread off by saying thank you to Invisiblek for answering my questions and providing me with a list of the commits he cherry-picked for his builds.
These builds are my own custom builds of LineageOS for the Pixel and Pixel XL and they contain a handful of cherry-picked fixes and features as well as many of my own changes to make Lineage look and feel exactly like the stock Pixel ROM while retaining all of its extra features.
Downloads
These builds are in no way automated and I can't guarantee any sort of schedule.
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST BUILD FROM GOOGLE DRIVE!
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE LINEAGE SU ADDON (MODIFIED TO WORK WITH THE PIXEL AND PIXEL XL)!
Installation
Because of the A/B partition layout of the Pixel devices, if you choose to flash Open GApps with this ROM you must first flash the ROM with TWRP and then reboot your recovery before flashing the GApps package or GApps will install on the wrong slot.

Features
Round Icons
Round icons are enabled and I've included the Pixel Settings app icon and the Downloads apps icon, as well as my own custom round icons for the Lineage Music, Recorder, Gallery, SIM Toolkit and Terminal apps. I used Roman Nurik's Android Asset Studio to assist me in the creation of these icons.
Pixel Navbar and Animation
The Pixel navbar commit that Invisiblek uses in his builds includes custom vectorized navbar assets resulting in the circle within the home button being incorrectly sized and positioned. I have corrected this by removing those custom assets and including the proper Pixel assets.
Pixel Settings
I've added the Pixel gesture animations back, enabled the camera flip gesture, moved Android Pay back out to the "Device" category, switched to the stock battery settings icon and switched the first time fingerprint setup animation to the Pixel Imprint animation (which determines the color of your device and shows the proper device color in the animation).
Pixel Colors
I've re-themed Lineage Settings and Emergency Info settings with the proper Pixel colors so everything is now the same theme within the Settings app (previously only the stock Android settings were colored properly).
Pixel Safety & Regulatory Labels and Manual
I've included the Safety & Regulatory manual and Regulatory labels in the "About phone" section.
Pixel Sounds
My builds include all of the Pixel ringtones, alarms, and notification sounds (in addition to those already included in Lineage) and I've also replaced all of the UI sounds with the Pixel UI sounds (such as the screenshot sound).
Pixel Wallpapers
My builds include the Pixel "Live earth", "Live data" and "New elements" wallpapers from the stock Pixel ROM.
Pixel Strings
I've switched a handful of strings in various parts of the ROM to those found in the stock Pixel ROM, such as "Fingerprint" being changed to "Pixel Imprint" and "Gestures" being changed to "Moves", as well various other similar small changes.
Pixel Charging Scale
I've switched the charging scale that is shown while the device is powered off and plugged in to the stock Pixel charging scale.
Unlimited Pixel Photo Storage
I don't know why this doesn't work in some ROMs that include the necessary nexus.xml file, but I've included a second copy of it with a different name so it won't ever be overwritten by a GApps package and I've tested it thoroughly and have confirmed that my photos take up none of my drive storage when backed up.
No GApps
These builds do not include GApps because I've seen multiple people asking for builds of Lineage without GApps, either because they don't use them or because Open GApps now works with the Pixel and Pixel XL, so people want to install only the GApps they want.
30 FPS Camera Fix
I've cherry-picked a commit that fixes Google Camera so that you can record 30 FPS video without it crashing. I don't know if this was ever an issue with Snap, but if it was it should also be fixed by this change if you opt out of installing Google Camera.
Various Patches/Cherry-Picks
My builds have dm-verity disabled and include a kernel patch to hide the unlocked state of your bootloader from SafetyNet. I've also included a few changes that get LiveDisplay up and running, but the RGB color calibration settings still don't work.

Haven't tried it. I use the April boootloader and everything else from the May image so I don't have to use the bootsigner, but it should work fine (except possibly the vendor image, since Lineage hasn't merged the June patches yet).

Hello want to give this a try!! I love the stock pixel theme. One question is there an option to adjust the nav bar height? Thanks

No, the only navbar customization is what is included with Lineage (adding/removing and rearranging buttons).
You should push the CMParts, navbar and safety regulation stuff to gerrit
Didn't know opengapps supported pixel now, I'll probably make more of an effort to finish the stuff needed to get officials going.

You have to flash the pixel camera though, because it kept crashing. So I decided to flash stock open gapps, then beans gapps over it.

Yes, I nagged them to fix it over on Gitter and they finally did it.
Also, push them to the Lineage gerrit? None of this would ever get approved, especially the navbar since it's not even normally part of Lineage.
The safety and regulatory manual is a proprietary app that I can add to the script that pulls blobs (or in my case I use Muppets so I just added it there) and the labels are files that I pulled from the stock settings app and added to the Lineage one.

Because Bean's GApps is totally non-customizable and all of the packages he offers suck because they include more than I want or less than I want.

That what I said. I was replying to the above comment. I flashed open gapps to rid of duplicates, then flashed the bean gapps to fix the wrong camera(Nexus).

Oh, I see.
EDIT: Also, just so you know, with Open GApps you can just put "forcenewcamera" (without quotes) in the gapps-config.txt file and it will install the correct camera. I had to do it before I started building GApps into my own version of this ROM. You can learn all about the different overrides and stuff on the "Advanced Features and Options" page of the Open GApps Github wiki.
New build coming tomorrow with the June patches (needs the June vendor image) as well as a few of my own changes.

It'll most likely be in a few hours. I ran into some issues today and then got busy with other things and didn't have time to finish everything I wanted to finish before I did a new build.

No, one Camera and Camera Roll which is a gallery app.
First boot takes a while, don't be suprised by glitchy boot animation, it was designed that way.
I have installed and running, and so It's fantastic!

The screen shots are generic.. The Rom comes with a basic camera, and of course you can install the Pixel Modded Camera, that's two cameras. But you have to install the Pixel mod after setup. So as I said , the Rom comes with one camera
FYI: I installed BlackScreen-5.3_r2, and the firmware for my device.

Absolutely!
This Rom is highly fluid and awesome.
I was a little worried at first since it took a while to boot. But this Rom honestly runs just as well as any rom. Its so polished that it feel like a rom that has been around for a long time. (It Includes all of the OmniGear options like AICP, AOSIP, dotsOS, RR etc)
No issues whatsoever and everything works.:
I installed Blackscreen out of habit. Especially with the latest BlackScreen-5.3_r2 being as good as it is..
By the way, I Miui-fied this Rom by adding these applications. ( These apps can be found on APK Mirror also)
Power Shade
VoluMIUI Pro
Android P Rotation
There is also the option to add free Miui and Android options using Xposed modules called P-ify
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-android-p-ify-features-t3764556
My friend,
Did you tried any substratum themes on this rom ? Sometimes there is some f.......g issues and you must restart all the flash process !

No not yet. because it has so much theming already built in that Substratum isn't really needed.
FYI: If you ever mess up your install with Substratum, you can flash the substratum Recovery which will completely remove the installed themes. So no need to reflash.
You can extract it from the substratum folder, and flash it fro your OTG drive, or just use file manager in Recovery to flash it from storage.
Edit: I saved you a few minutes and uploaded the Substratum Rescue disk to the same folder that this Rom is located in.
