Friends and experts, I really beg na urgente help here.
Yesterday my Samsung galaxy note 5 was hacked.
First they locked my screen with a password and a message in the lock screen saying: hackers br.
I was able to unlock the screen with the help of a remote manager software from Samsung.
A few minutes later, after the unlock of the home screen, they restarted the smartphone and
restored factory defaults.
After that, I reinstalled everything in my phone, lost 1 day doing that, I even rooted the smartphone again,
but today a few minutes ago, I was hacked again and the phone locked again.
I was quickly able to unlock it, and turned off the internet connection.
When I started the internet conection again, the smartphone restarted and tried to reset everything again.
I was desperately pressing the power button, and it seems I was able to avoid the reset.
I have the control of the smartphone right now and I need and urgente TIP about What to look for, what to do, what to delete, to same my phone.
May anyone help this helpless friend?
What is being hacked, phone or account? If account, reset you password on your account.

Start first by looking for any unknown person or number in your contacts do the same for e-mail delete them take personal info down from any untrustworthy sites change passwords make another email one for personal one for play that's a start put a lock on your phone that's a start

The phone is hacked. Not the account as far as I know.
I use 6 diferent Google Accounts in this Android for gaming.
I'll look the contacts in my phone, but I don't see how that can avoid them from hacking the phone again.
Anyway, I work using WhatsApp. So, I have hundred of contacts.
Does anyone has any more practical and immediate solution to try:
- Block the phone from accepting a restore factory defaults command and lock it as it is now?
- Any kind of service or process or know malicious app that I can search and uninstall?
Sorry thought u needed help

Friend, I do need help. I just asked what difference will it make to delete a contact in my android contacts list. That's all.
So far, I have been able to avoid a reset in the phone, but everytime I disable the internet, as soon as I start the internet again, the phone reboots and tries to restore factory defaults.
I don't know what else to do besides ask for help.
Everytime the phoen reboots and tries to restore factory defaults na error is ocurring either by some random luck or because I keep pressing the power button to avoid a reset.
I need to do something to block this constant reboot and constant attempt to restore factory defaults.

The problem is that It was already reseted yesterday.
That didn't help to keep them away and hack it again a second time.

Try disabling/sign out of all your accounts. Either that or somebody is specifically targeting you, in that case you need to contact authorities.

Guys I think I found out where the attack is coming from.
It appears in the screen that the commands are coming from ANDROID DEVICE MANAGER.
How can I solve it? How can I find out what account has control over the phone?
Thankyou

If I'm not mistaken u can mind out by enabling ADB
From there u should be able to tell from the IP addresses when u look them up on Google you can find out if its local or not there are apps out there that will help you gain the info you are wanting hope this helps.
One last thing I can think of is change passwords alert google and good luck.

THank you everyone for your time.
I solved the problem.
None of my accounts were hacked. My phone was not hacked.
What happened is that I added an account to my phone that was not mine. Someone that I game with gave me his account
for me to help him playing when he couldn't. So, by having his own account inside my phone, he was able to play with my face,
lock my phone, restore factory default.
This is a huge and big leak of security in android in my opinion. Since many people use many different accounts inside one single
smartphone, like work Email, personal email, etc. Google and Samsung should enable only ONE SINGLE ACCOUNT to be able to
remotely manage the smartphone, not and never all the accounts!
This is something that must change inside Android! You must be able to set the account that can remotely manage the smartphone.
If anyone knows of a forum or a direct place where I can place this complain to the team responsible for developing Android,
I'll be glad to give this contribution based on this really bad experience that I had.
Thank you again for you time.

So I'm pretty sure that only Google accounts can control Android Device Manager and adding someone else's account to your phone is a very big security risk on your part. You can also deactivate Android Device Manager as a device administrator and no account will be able to control your phone in that way.

Hi. The samsung account can do the same. Actually I never used the Google Device Manager. I learned about it because the cracker/hacker was using it.
I unlocked my device all the times he locked it using my Samsung account.
I believe it's a really important and nice tool to have, but again, it need to be related to one single "master" Google account,
and not all the accounts the device has added into it.

Well it's all of them! I just searched Shazam and Soundhound....so once they're searched it says "Purchased", but I can't see that BEFORE I search.
It's not like I remember every I've bought!

I had the same problem coming from a full wipe in the play store.
Sometimes it just takes a little while to refresh which apps you have bought in the store, if it keeps happening send google play an email.
There is a brief delay. They are there. Your phone is no different.
Thanks it worked!

You can't transfer apps across USB from your PC. Applications have to be sent from the Play Store to your phone directly, hence you need to use a connection - do you not have WiFi?

You CAN download apps on PC (from different sources) and copy it to your phone via USB. These apps are .apk files which CAN be installed by simply clicking on them.
Please understand that english is not native for everyone, and people may not be well versed with it as you are.
Of course you can download .apks from other sources, but you can't download apps as APK files from the Play Store on your PC. That was what the OP (well, not OP, but you know what I mean) asked.

Even the most awesome phone can't get rid of the radio, Wifi and bluetooth draining the battery, that's simply a physical fact.
However it has quite a large battery so you might not need to set it too restrictive.
I'd recommend going with the 'Juicedefender Beta' (requires the paid 'Juicedefender Ultimate' for all features) and installing AOSP helper. (Requires root)
Do a NANDROID backup as advised but everything should go pretty well.
I've found the following Setup to be excellt while not hindering the least bit with my interactions:
- Set Juidedefender NOT to disable data and NOT to disable sync.
- It should auto-manage Wifi (requires a few days of training)
- It should drop to 2G after 5 minutes of inactivity
- It should restore 3G on screen-on
As a plus you can configure Juicedefender to handle brightness since through it's overlay it can (similarly to Screen Filter) go well below minimum AMOLED brightness which is far too bright at nighttime.
As for SetCPU, I'm running Siyah with only minor modifications to the frequencies. My phone neither likes overclocking nor undervolting but it's awesome as-is

If contacts all what you need. try to login to his gmail account and contacts will be there because they are typically synched with his gmail account.
Your other option to see his bill statement either online or on paper. you will see his contacts phone numbers typically there with location but not name.
Install android commander on Windows. Connect to your computer and if he had usb debugging "checked" you will be able to access everything via. Windows. Long shot but worth a try. I did this when I smashed my screen and needed to get everything off of it before I sent it in. I'm sorry to hear about your brother.

I would have done the same damn thing because he's getting answers faster this way. Go be a **** somewhere else...Anyway you might want to try doing the old trick from the early android days. Call his phone from another one and answer it. When u answer it hit the home button and see where that gets you. Hope this helps and God Bless your family

So sorry to hear about your brother. I work for Sprint and unfortunately there is no way to get around a pattern/passcode lock on the phone without a gmail username/password or a hard reset. What you can do is check the sd card to see if there is a vcard file on it. It's possible he made a backup of the contacts on there. The file will end with .vcf. If you see any files like that put them on a computer and import them into another gmail account that you have access to. Hope this helps and I wish your brother luck to recover from his accident.
You could use Juopunutbear to get S-OFF and then flash a custom recovery from fastboot and then either pull his GMail account information from there or at least bypass the lockscreen.

There is no way to bypass the lock screen or get gmail info through the recovery. Plus I'm pretty sure the Juopunutbear bootloader unlocker hard resets the device.
Couldn't you pull the data partition with a recovery menu?
if you know is gmail, then attempt to do a password recovery of it. if u manage to get the password then you'll find all is contacts most likely synced with Google contacts.
check if hes still loggged into his gmail on his PC.
if hes using Firefox, he might of have had firefox save his password on his pc (assuming he as a computer) in the firefox options u can look at a master list of saved passwords and hopefully his gmail would be included...
found a link here: i havent tried it but its worth a shot.
http://droidlessons.com/how-to-reset-your-android-lock-screen-password/
If your familiar with rooting and modding. then maybe u can get clockworkmod on there and from there do a dirty flash of MeanROM or or CM9. there by flashing over the lock screen and pattern while keeping data.... this should be a last resort...
If he has his own computer you could try loging into his Play store and instal an app called : Screen Lock Bypass (search it on Play store).
If this doesnt help then your best luck is to search on Google "bypass android pin lock" and hopefully you find some methods.
And good luck to your brother i hope he gets better. =)
I was able to figure out his yahoo password which allowed me to reset his gmail password! I got his contacts. Thanks!
Anyway I will try to unlock the phone later when this all settles down so one of his sons can at least use it. (Their Mom passed away last summer, they are in their early 20's)

factory reset will not delete the accounts before it is sold, it will just remove it from the phone.
Go to your dive page and manually remove them from your account. Are the password different for either of the phone, it maybe trying to access and older password.
Once the phones are deletred the account may work, otherwise use the lost password option and create a new password.

I only have one Samsung account for 3 phones (2 of them were sold). When login to Samsung dive I still see 3 phones. I cannot manually remove them in the Samsung dive homepage, I don't know how because there is no option so far, or did I miss something here?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
apparently the other two phones where not properly deleted from the devices before you sold them. I checked out samsung dive web site. If the other phones data was wiped properly the phones should have been deleted.
You have 2 options.
I. delete the samsung account and recreate it. This will remove all the phone from your account.
2. Write to samsung through their email contact and have them delete the phones from your account.
Since my exchange question never got answered ill ask a more broad one.
Im using Jelly Bean. I have a ton of "trusted credentials" which i dont know where they came from. (a few are in another language, which makes me concerned). I would like to clear them all out, but doing them one by one would be extremly tedious and time consuming. I see their is an option to remove all certificates, however it is disabled/grayed out.
Why and how can i clear them out all at once?
Thanks

Ok. Appearrntly, it will only let you so a full clear of credentials if you have your phone encrypted. However, even that wont clear whats in the "trusted credentials" area. Looks like ill have to just disable them one at a time.. What a pain in the ass.
I am having the same issue. I'm having hard time believing that there is a button to remove credentials/ clear all certificates, but there is no way to use the button. Anyone have any ideas. I've searched everywhere.

I'm having the same problem with a Galaxy S5 on version 6.0.1. Has anyone figured this out? Not sure where all these certificates came from either but I want them off my phone and one by one will take forever. Plus, doing them one by one only turns them off. It doesn't remove them.

I would like to complain about my current struggle with Google (since I have no one here to complain to. So I wrote Google a message and said I have a number of purchased programs that give me a download 403 error when i try to download them (geocaching, root explorer, titanium pro, gps status and toolbox pro etc.) and can they help me fix the issue. So they send me a canned response that says that I cannot install the programs because they are from a different userid of mine. So I respond and say that i have both user id's added as accounts on my phone so thats not it. So I get a canned response back that tells me there process of how apps are bought and how they are good forever and how you can install them on any devices. So I respond again telling them this is a download issue that I need help with. So I get another canned response that says during these issues you should try to wipe data on the play store and download manager. So I think, ok, this makes sense. I try that and nothing happens. So I respond again and tell them It didn't do anything but I have tried this on at least 6 different devices and it happens on all of them. So I get another canned response that says during issues like this you should delete your account and re-add it and if that doesnt work then wipe your phone to factory reset and try again. Now I am getting pissed. So I respond again and tell them that I just told them that it happens on many devices not just this device and I included a screenshot of the error this time and suggest maybe its having an issue looking up if i bought it and could they reset it so i could buy it again and see if that works. I get another canned response that says, it sounds like you are having issues with these apps, You should contact the developer so they can explain any issues that you dont understand on how their software works. NOW, each one of their responses comes with atleast a page of "We are sorry, we know this is frustrating, blah blah blah" with more detail on how to find the developers address etc." So I have this mile long email trail that's all canned bull sh!t I realize. So I responded again and told them to quit sending me canned responses and to read my damn issue so you can address it. I told them they should be working with the developer, not me, because this is their issue. Well - Stay tuned for there next canned response. I am going to blow a gasket if its another one that addressess nothing.
Has anyone else had a 403 download error in the playstore that they know how to fix?

You must have skipped the original message like google did. It happens on 6 different devices which means its not device specific.
someone in another post fixed the issue for me. little did I know that just having both accounts added to your device isnt enough, you actually have to pick which account inside google play that you want it to install from. Who knew. 1 year problem solved.
Note to self. Never ask google for help, always ask xda friends.

I got the final end all be all response from google
"It appears from the apps that you are having a problem with that your device is rooted. Because of the complexity of rooted devices, we are not able to support you".
So I told them xda told me how to fix in in 5 mins. c*ck suckers.

I think this is a good thing to remember for all of Google's apps. Most of their apps, it seems, can be used with multiple accounts that is set within the app, independent of what the main account on the phone is. Recently had a related issue with my Hangouts activity going to the "wrong" phone, just had a set the accounts correctly within the Hangouts app on both phones and all is well again.

So relevant to the Note 3 that I read it twice. Only I didn't. Because it's not relevant at all. Yup.
Never had any issue with multiple accounts and downloading apps from Google Play. Always uncheck all the sync options for the non-primary account.
I was on the note 3 hence the note 3 post. But thanks for piping in.

I think Google Support is non-existent, and that's the way they've always wanted it. Why do you think Apple does so well? You can walk into ANY Apple store with an Apple product and get fairly good support with $0 cost pretty much anywhere in the USA. I've owned apple products for 4 years and when I've had a (hardware) problem with my device, it took 5 mins at an Apple store to get it replaced. I see why people like Apple. (Left iPhone 5 for Note 3 and am in heaven).
I had a problem with my Google Drive storage - I had that paid user bonus (95gb) and it disappeared one day without warning. So I contacted Google Drive support for paid users. First support guy I talked to responded: "Looks like you don't need the space, bye." LOL, really? That's not the point, it's free space that was gifted to me, I'd like it back. So, I summoned up the courage, contacted support again - and this time got someone who cared and in 2 mins I got my 95GB paid user bonus back. All depends on who you get I guess.
I've always dealt with two user IDs when I had my iPhones (mine and my wife's) and my Google Account (work, personal). Google's double account setup seems a bit more buggy - but I mostly just use it for gmail and hangouts (not apps).
And yes, moral of the story... You can almost always find a quicker, cleaner, faster solution online than contacting support.
Been using multiple accounts across eight devices for the last several years without issue. All I had to do is set up a primary Google account and secondary account from phone settings and didn't have to do anything within Google Play Store app. Can't get any more idiot proof than that.

There is no such thing as idiot proof. Just when you think it is you'll find a bigger idiot.
