After an OTA upgrade to 2.2, managed to root my Dell Streak which I got for $1.08 2 days ago @ Best Buy Mobile. Superuser does show up. However, when I attempt the custom recovery it doesn't go past the "wait for USB fastboot detect..." Even when I plug in the cable after 10 seconds.
Any help is appreciated!

Any Thoughts on this Yet???
Do you have the right drivers on your computer? You have to have the right drivers on your computer before it can get your streak to fastboot mode. Read the right forums on how to upgrade/downgrade your it is all there.

I think you have to install the drivers manually. There is a PDF file floating around with detailed instructions thanks to Radddogg. Grab it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776883 and give it a good read.
It was totally automatic procedure with Windows 7 for me but there are problems with Windows XP I think.
Haven't slowed down enough to test this out, yet. But, i really appreciate at least the flicker in the darkness to resolving this! Will report back soon.
when i connect my dell streak to pc, it wont recognize it and i cannot install it not matter what. anyways to install the driver?
Go to Dell web site and get latest drives from the support page. Worked for me and will ensure you have the latest and greatest from Dell. Send you there because what I have might not be the latest.
drivers arent there been looking for 40 days and 40 nites

Hello,
I am currently having an issue with my Dell Venue 7 3730 tablet.
A few weeks ago I ran a cleaning utility from the Google app store which seemed to complete without issues with the exception that I could not exit the utility. I then proceeded to reboot the device and the display would not power on. After researching various posts and forums it appears to be stuck in download mode. Installed the Intel Soc drivers and verified that fstk and device manager (Windows 7 x64) correctly identified the device (CloverTrail plus). Any hope of salvaging this device?
Thanks.
Need drivers, found one on this forum but the link lead to installers of junkware.
Thanks alot
I have a Dell Venue 8 with windows 10 installed on it. I hate it. 32 gig hd and the OS takes 24... I want to switch it to Android, but most of the forum threads I have seen talk about reinstalling Android, or Super Rooting an already installed Android. I do know that this tablet was sold as an Android tablet also so drivers shouldn't be an issue. I might be missing it, but can someone point me in the right direction as to how to install Android on this tablet? Windows Boot loader is messing with me and I can't get this to do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
