I've been working with a few members of this site and the consensus is that no rooting software exists for this device. This thread is to help point people like me who own this device in the right direction should rooting software be developed or found. If you know of any, please post a link and instructions.
Here is all the information I've been able to collect on the device:

I need the same; info on how to root. I was given on by wife, tried to find guides on root. I did get developer privileges , fast boot access. I have not tried to use ADB yet. My volume buttons DO seem to work in fastboot as I was able to test by wiping cache. Unsure what to try next.

There is a forum for the Nook 7 Tablet: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nook-7
Unfortunately it doesn't look like there is any progress at all on rooting, etc.
This should should be in the Nook 7 thread but, there is light at the end of this tunnel.
Sent from my BNTV450 using XDA Labs
Will post how later, after some clean up and testing.
Any update on this?
Any update on this? Have a friend wanting to know if the one he just got can confirm to be rooted or if he should take it back (it was on sale)

@PsyCry
My first two (July)
v1.0.2 (BNTV450-v1.0.2-20161230) security patch Oct. 5, 2016
I bricked my first one a few hours after rooting it on Nov.12th. and ordered another one. My second one is still unmolested. - For now.
My third one (November)
v2.0.4 (BNTV450-v2.0.4-20170927) security patch Aug. 5, 2017
(Had a V3 sticker on the box and is the screenshot in prior post.)
Rooted with magisk 14.3. Running nova launcher with root access to overcome the marshmallow lag. Deleted a bunch of apps. Seemed to be working good. (With a few limitations.)
Then I bricked it. (Nov.23rd. Happy Thanksgiving. )
I ordered 2 more (on sale) and I assume these will also be v2.0.4.
(UPS has pushed the deliver date back twice now. Originally it was 2 days ago.)
When I get them, I will run though the steps and post a patchable boot.img and how-to.
Note :
Hardware key combination:
Power and Volume down = Factory Mode.
Power and Volume up = Recovery Mode.
Did NOT work on either bricked device.
I know they work with an unlocked bootloader. (Albeit annoying with the warning delay.)
I did NOT test them when rooted.

I now know the Allwinner A13 is a stripped down version of the Allwinner A10, to be clearer the specifications of my Tablet (from UniFlash and AnTuTu Benchmark) are as follows:
Manufacturer: None
Brand: softwinners
CPU hardware: sun5i
CPU model: ARMv7 Processor (VFPv3, NEON)
CPU frequency: 60.0 ~ 1008.0 MHz
Screen resolution: 800 x 444
GPU vendor: Mali-400 MP
GPU version (OpenGL): OpenGL ES 2.0
RAM size: 512 MB DDR2 RAM
Knowing this, I used UniFlash to make a backup of the firmware bt after using UniFlash to try and load a CM9 Rom on to the Tablet, the Tablet died. After alot of googling I discovered AllWinner based chipsets use Live Suite (sometimes called LiveSuit) to flash firmwares on to the device.
To Flash firmware on to the device you need to follow the attached instructions ((http://dragondevs.com/viewtopic.php?f=159&t=390):
Download LiveSuite (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Live-Suit-Pack.shtml)
Install Live Suite
Start Live Suite
Select the Live Suite image file (folder icon
Turn device off (to be sure hold power button for 12 - 20 seconds)
Hold "Volume Up" button down
Connect the device to your PC (while still holding "Volume Up" down)
Start pressing the power button (you may need to do this once a second for 5/6 seconds)
If you haven't installed windows will ask to install a driver for a device (Dive Id will be something like Vf73465789123465435_Id, if the device is in the right mode, A13-MID, ADB-Interface indicates the tablet has connected in anouther mode).
Once this has finished LiveSuite will detect the device and a wizard will flash the firmware for you.
I have found a working firmware which according to AnTuTU Benchmark gives my tablet a rating of 3047 (see firmware section), this is on the higher end of reported A13-MID tablets
I have found out how to install CWM on to the device via SaussageMod (http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/29916-scriptmod-for-allwinner-a1x-platforms/). This solution is untested, further more it may be unnessary futher investigation has shown this website (https://www.miniand.com/forums/forums/2/topics/73) has developed a way of create Live Suite images. This is simplier than installing clockworkmod recovery,
I tried to load the following images on to my tablet and failed completely: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31043317 It didn't work and forced me to do a firmware refresh.
My other step for the day was to create Ubuntu 10.10 installation then I began following this guide to construct an Xperia Play CM9 Rom/Kernel. once I have created a working ROM (I own an Xperia Play). I'm hoping to be able to modify the kernel to include the relevent A13 drivers, but one step at a time.
TODO
Create Ubuntu Partition
Follow Xperia Play CM9 Rom/Kernel Guide and create working rom (test on my Xperia Play)
Download CT repository (https://github.com/christiantroy) and compare with Xperia Play CM9 rom
Find the relevent drivers from https://github.com/amery/linux-allwinner leaked source
Retrieve offical MALI 400 MP drivers (parts of it have been released) compare with leaked source
Use UniFlash backup of original Rom along with LiveSuite image creation to try and restore original firmware (see If I understand it properly)
Examine Build.prop find out why original firmware displayed ina phone layout and new one is in tablet mode (potentially reference CM supported Tablets).
Attempt to compile a A13 (Sun5i) based rom
Create a google code page to hold all of these thoughts properly.
Left blank will include rom/firmwares here for future reference

I have the same tablet and it would be very cool if you succeeded in your attempt to create a CM9 rom for it. I tried ROM made by Tragidy from this thread but there is a problem with touchscreen driver, ROM booted successfully but I could not even unlock the screen cause touchscreen did not work. I finaly flashed rom DCPAD2121.zip using livesuite which I belive is the original ROM that came with tablet and it worked.
I installed clockwordmod using sausagemod successfully, but there is a big problem - no hardware "back" key and only volume up works.
novo7tools.apk works OK for reboot, reboot to recovery or shutdown.
syncing
Thanks, it's slow going at the moment, I only spending ~1 hour each day on it and at the moment trying to sync the CM9 source is painful (it keeps timing out, due to "remote side corruption").
I figure I would start there as all the firmware images I can find are ICS roms (meaning the drivers must be ICS).
Hi, I have the same tablet but I cannot find the firwmare DCPAD2121.zip
Could you upload it please? From dropbox has been deleted
Thanks

I tried that ROM, on my tablet after flashing the ROM it got stuck in a boot loop. It might be an idea to steal the config he created. The ROM is pre CM9 release. The A10 Flash kitchen software seems to work. I was hoping on producing a complete Live Suit image that people could flash (figuring our what CT has done on the A10 took a while).
Still having fun trying to sync the repositories, given up on trying to use a Debian VM, I'll will install full Ubuntu on a drive tomorrow, hopefully that will help fix things. It doesn't help most of the guides I can find are out of date and I keep having to make corrections.
I've also uploading all firmware I can find to my dropbox (at 200mb each they will take a while), I won't with tools simply because others ask you not too.
The Dropbox firmware was out of date when I tried to download it sun5i_android_a13-pfdq88_en_D06 firmware worked well for me, the firmwares are located at: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bzjt7mzuftwz79f/nt7mRMPDj1
Cyanogenmod 9 in not working for you. Did you made data and cache wipe? Can you send me logcat and dmesg output?
You can`t steal my config, you have to remember about credits, and other stuff.
Creating a wiki is useless, there is already wiki for allwinner products, so better update info on it.
Github is better than google code to keep sources.
Using Livesuit=Windows, I hate dual booting just for flashing, Clockwork Recovery or modified SDcard with uboot is better solution.
Current kernel is not working well, with sun5i.
Using VM is stupid, because building rom takes a lot of time on quad core pc without it.

I wiped the caches I couldn't send a logcat or dmesg as the device simply boot looped.
I've been providing links to threads whenever I come across others work, I'm new to android rom development for me this is a research effort which will hopefully produce something cool for my £50 tablet. Basically my day job has switched to developing UI's and I am looking for something new to learn (instead of why is Vaadin, Guice, SWT, Javascript, etc... is putting that button there).
Said dev career has also made me hate Git with a passion (not as bad as perforce but still) since Git integrates poorly with Visual Studio and Eclipse and you end up getting everyone overwriting each others changes. The idea of google code is simply because it makes a good platform for projects and you can use things like git with it. I didn't know about an Allwinner wiki, with all of my Googling I haven't come across it, where is it?
I don't care about build times I'm just researching, alas Debian has caused me enough problems so I've installed ubuntu on to a old disk I had lying around. Considering I've just tried to install Ubuntu via a Net install CD and it has screwed up the GRUB installation (nicely taking out my windows partition as well) can you blame me?
The reason for nabbing the config (and the Xperia Play and Christian Troys) is to understand how they work. Over the years I've found most Open Source software documentation is poor unless you have a set level of knowledge about it already.
Lastly I like automation, I want things to just work. Livesuit does that since I am normally a windows user, I as hoping in the distant future once I understand the build process to set up a Jenkins server to do it and create the whole lot automatically (via the Allwinner flash kitchen). In the even longer term I would like to update FlashTool to do what LiveSuit does. In the near term (next couple of months) I just want to be able to build a CM9 image.
All android and kernel source are keep on git, so changing it is stupid.
This is allwinner wiki: http://rhombus-tech.net/allwinner_a10 you can also update http://elinux.org/Hack_A10_devices
Everyone use CWM and it's standard for unofficial firmware/ROMS

Trying 4.1.2
Hi all,
So I've tried compiling from 4.1.2 source for my A13 Emgeton Consul 3
It boots up and gets to the CM10 boot animation but it doesn't get past it.
I can adb at first boot until adb stops.
logcat from boot attempt:
http://pastebin.com/gLTrieHm
My build.prop:
http://pastebin.com/Ap9M1tjW
Any pointers as to why it doesn't get past the boot animation?
Hello guys! I know it's not he proper place here to pose my question, but I am definitely at loss!
Do you happen to know if there is a way of rooting this tablet? And if so, does everything work properly after that?

I've gone a bit quiet on the development front, setting up a file/media server & samba domain server to power my home network is eating up my time.
My dropbox contains every image I could find for the tablet, as mentioned previously you can root the device using saussage mod, although my device and every one of those images is already rooted. You can prove this by installing super user.
Sassage mod's clockworkmod recovery doesn't work for me and I was looking at the backup tool in order to generate my own one. If you are aimed at any development, let me know and I will update the main thread
Many have said that they have "lost" "forget" to take backup from original rom. So, i'd like to have backup from my original to go back if/when something goes wrong. How do i do that? What software i need. Do i need to root?
This is from my info sheet:

I just installed OpenVPN installer and installed the OpenVPN binary in the system/xbin
After that I tried to connect to my university's VPN but when it tried to connect, the tablet lost wifi connection and ever since it doesnt connect to any available wifi network!! I manually deleted the OpenVPN binary, but problem remains!
Do you know where could I find the stock ROM for this tablet in order to re-flash it?
Do you have any other proposals? Anything will help!
Thank you very much!!
Hello I'm new to this forum and I'd like to ask some questions.
I have one of the most unknown phone on the market I guess, it's a Nuu Z8.
I believe there isn't a single thread about the Nuu Z8. Anyway to my point I was looking for a custom ROM (like CyanogenMod) but of course it doesn't support my phone.
Then I started to ask myself and now you guys, could it be that I can use a CyanogenMod ROM that isn't meant to be for my phone but possibly could work because it is made for the same architecture and stuff? (I found a few ROMS made for my architecture)
further specs:
cpu:
- MediaTek MT6752
- ARM Cortex-A53
- 64bit
- ARMv8-A
- 1700MHz
- 8 cores
GPU:
- ARM Mali-T760 MP2
- 2 cores
- 700MHz
RAM:
- 2GB of LPDDR3 800MHz single channel RAM
storage:
-32GB
DUAL sim and sd card
5.5" screen with 1080x1920 pixels
if more specs are needed you have to google:" NUU Moblie Z8 - Specifications devicespecifications . com
Edit: There also isn't a cwm or twrp custom recovery menu made for my phone but I can flash ROMS and ZIP/OTA files using flashfire.
I believe this also means that when I brick my phone I can't install the default ROM because I don't have an custom recovery menu.
Edit2: I believe I was directed from the XDA assist to this Q&A page do correct me if I'm (again) on the wrong side of the forum

I don't have my nuu z8 anymore because i broke it repaired it but i couldn't call anymore anyway you have a boot loop (you probably figured that out) and what you should do is download sp flashtool and a stock rom from needrom.com and look up a tutorial on how to use spflashtools.

hi,
i was wondering if you ever found a rom for this phone.
i also have it .. the reason im asking is because i am having a lot of problems with the phone and was hoping a different rom might cure the glitches.
do you have any problems with your phone? mine turns off when the battery gets below 60 "%.
google maps was not reliable on local trips around town. so i am hoping you might be able to help
About a year back I bought this tablet second-hand, No box, no cords, no manual, nothing.
All I have to go on is what is written on the backcase and inside the actual tablet.
The thing is that this specific model seem to be spoken of very lightly on the internet and there's been alot of missinformation regarding the actual model name, the CPU and the kernel...
Long story short, I misstook my tablet for the "momo11 Bird" and downloaded CM10 from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821398
I flashed it, and as you can figure out, seeing I misstakenly downloaded a ROM for Rockchip when in reality I'm on a Allwinner A31s, I accidently bricked my device.
The key combination for recovery or fastboot does no longer work, and as I turn the tablet on it just shows the "ployer" logo and stays there.
It doesn't even reboot itself, it just shows the logo until the battery is dead.
After digging on the internet for what feels like forever, I now am almost entirely certain that I have successfully found the ACTUAL model in my possession.
Most important specs:
Product Type Tablet PC
Brand Ployer
Model MOMO11-III
Color Silver back cover
Shell Material Aluminum alloy
Operating System Stock Android 4.2 (Currently CM10 for momo11 Bird)
CPU Allwinner A31S Cortex-A7 quad-core 1.2GHz
GPU PowerVR SGX544 MP2
RAM 1GB DDR3
ROM (Nand Flash) 8GB
Now, in a desperate attempt to restore my tablet, I'm trying to locate either a stock firmware or a custom one, I don't really care aslong as it works.
The problem is that like previously mentioned, there's not alot of information regarding the "ployer momo11 iii"(momo11-3), and I have also not yet managed to find a ROM for it.
Another issue that I'm also faced with is that I can't seem to get my hands on any USB drivers for the tablet.
Is there anyone here who's got any experience with this tablet, or could help find the proper firmware, respectively the proper USB driver?
Someone please help as this is making me really sad....
I bought a BLU Vivo ONE from Best Buy the other day and was able to purge most of the adware through the typical adb shell methodology to disable it for the currently running user without physically removing it from the device. However, it still has some really nasty hangups, like secretly blocking Netflix from accessing the remote server in an attempt to push the Amazon Prime Video app that it shipped with. Do we have any idea what this phone is a knock off of? I'd like to get my hands on an original pristine firmware from a non-advertisement subsidized version of this phone and flash that with SP Flash Tool. I did find the scatter file for the BLU Vivo ONE Plus which is also an MT6739 with a slightly bigger screen, etc. and was able to take a backup using SP Flash Tool. I would like to get TWRP or something on there so that I can flash Magisk as a starting point, but ultimately a non-ad subsidized firmware would be ideal. I haven't had an android phone since the original Droid Incredible, so this is all new to me again. Also, the phone is running Nougat 7.1.1.
Alright, Netflix is working fine now for some reason, but it's still not rooted yet. Any ideas on how to root this phone? Does the community avoid the MT6739 for some reason?

About TWRP question:
1- is need anyone with experience (or courage to do) to flash stock files with SPFT.
I saw that you were able to do a backup with SPFT. Then you will be able to flash the test file.
2- is need know if need unlock bootloader or not.
The first moment NO UNLOCK! If the file test not boot so is need Unlock to know if work file test.
3- I not need phone in my hands. But is very easy and fast solving issues when have its.
Because is more easy to repair phone if anything wrong happens. So the risk and responsability is of the user!!

I cannot find the Vivo One Plus stock ROM. So you need make the backup directly from your phone!!
If you know so.... But if you not know, ask illuminarok to do.
After that we make something for your phone. Remember, before anything, we need know if the kernel is same or not!
That's more security!!
I also have a "One Plus", which is apparently a BestBuy exclusive. It seems to be pretty much identical to the "One" but with larger screen and battery. I may have the courage to do some experimentation if properly guided. I sure would like to root this bad boy!

Instructions for install TWRP
Update 18-10-13
TWRP for BLU Vivo ONE - V0270WW (MT6739) was done!
Requirements: Stock ROM V7.1.1.04.04
WARNING:
Code:
Before install TWRP, copy with application backup&restore all
contacts, msgs, calls, all that you want, etc.... to your PC
and after you can restore that with same application.
After install TWRP is need copy SuperSu or Magisk to
your Internal Storage or MicroSDCard. So after that
you can install SuperSu or Magisk to start ROM.
You need unlock bootloader by adb-fastboot. Follow this intructions => SIMILAR BOOTLOADER UNLOCK
Obviously you should know about the issue that unlocking the bootloader there will be a full reset on the phone.
You can flash TWRP with adb-fastboot or SPFT: Instructions for Flash stock recovery or Custom recovery MEDIATEK devices only
In addition, after installing TWRP you must choose the WIPE-FORMAT DATA option so that Custom Recovery can "see" the MicroSD card. Then there will be a total reset on the phone.
Thanks to tester angel martinez martinez from G+.

Are you saying that unlocking the bootloader for the Blu Vivo One is as simple as using adb to issue the command: fastboot oem unlock? If so, I can pick one up cheap to play with.
PLZ Help
Hi guys, im new here but not so new in this world of androids and stuff, I´ve flash and successfully various androids but now i dont know what happen... Im from Venezuela so sorry for my english, I know it´s not the best jeje...
First of all, A client bring me this phone (Blu One Vivo - V0270WW) with problemas in the back camera, when she enters in the camera aplicattion, automatically it opens the front camera whithout opcion of change it, even the "flash" button appears xd, it´s like the software thinks that he is in the back camera but shows you the front camera.
Seeing this I went to Download the correct firmware for this phone, wich casually is the same one than the link commented post above me. I download the last SP Flash Tool (5.1836) opened the scatter file, remove the opcion of preloader (automatically the programs set in download only) with the correct drivers so I press the start button, power off the phone, coneccted and everything seems right in the flash procedure, when ended I see that the normal reboot dont occurred, seeing this i try to turn it on by the regular way, with the button, but nothing happen...
Now the phone it´s totally black, when I connect it to the battery the light of charging tuns on but nothing else, nothing on the screen. If i conect the phone into my pc the drivers appears but it conects and disconnect between 2-3 minutes the flash tool recieve information from the chip, it seems that the firmware doesnt work right... I dont know plz help me guys x_x :crying::crying::crying:

You can using the preloader without problem. The point is not using FORMAT+FIRMWARE UPGRADE or FORMAT+DOWNLOAD options!!

Look if battery can charge. That's important to preloader connect phone with PC. You can using DOWNLOAD and/or FIRMWARE UPGRADE options.
Other way, but no good: FORMAT+ (options).... But tge phone can lost IMEIs!

Obviously you can using the Microsd with magisk. Can flash again the TWRP file... So install and ROM start with Root. After that TWRP fixed in your phone!
Well, using TWRP if no look Microsd so you need in the option WIPE-FORMAT DATA (this wipe data correctly). If TWRP can look the Microsd so easy install magisk.
Other same situation happened /solved here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/tank-xtreme-pro-recovery-t3716211/post77201956

Also, the phone is running Nougat 7.1.1.

hi please, I need a custom kernel for the blu vivo one, I have twrp flashed and supersu flashed too?
I recently purchased a Blu View 1 phone, 16GB, running stock firmware (B100dl.) I bought the phone thinking it had the ability to run 64 bit apps. It has a 64 bit chipset, but 32 bit android. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about custom roms or rooting this phone, as I've uncovered very little info in my searches. Thank you for any information.
Really weird that an ARM32 Android got pre-installed instead of an ARM64, because phone is powered by the MT6739 SoC what is a highly efficient 64-bit quad core CPU.
How to root MediaTek devices is dozens of times explained here on XDA and also on WEB.
A list of actually available Custom ROMs is here.
Okay, thank you for the info. I was hoping there was a way to upgrade to 64 bit via vendor, like my a10, but it doesn't seem to exist for this phone. Thank you again.
