Downgrade to MM from Nougat OTA - Moto Z Questions & Answers

I am going to pick one of these up used, unlocked. The owner has upgraded the device to Nougat by OTA. I prefer MM as I need to use Xposed.
Is it possible to "downgrade" this device safely, without bricking it??

Found my answer. Mods please delete. Sorry for posting a question that was already answered

Update to kitkat

Hello, I have verizon note 2, it has stock 4.1.2 android installed. I want to update it to kitkat, what can you suggest how can I update it ?
I've read not ro accept ota updates. How can I update me phone to kitkat without accepting otas? someone answer me.
Use casual to root and unlock. Then update the custom recovery to newest. Then follow the directions to flash the stock rom in the development section of this forum for this phone.
If you don't use root or flash roms then I don't understand why your worried about taking the ota.
Oh btw, demanding someone to answer you isn't the best way to get someone to answer you.

Need help going back to stock 4.4.4 from CandyKat Rom 4.4.4 on Ultra GPE

Yep, the title is pretty much it. I would like to retain my bootloader unlock so I can root when I OTA to lollipop after I get back to stock. Can anyone guide me?
Have a read of the stickier in the gpe section, or any of the other 3 threads on the subject where it has been answered

MM 6.0 Root and Back?

Hello friends,
I read and read, but there are still some questions I need answers to. Can you guys please assist? I'm currently on NON-ROOTED Stock Lollipop, firmware 10c:
1. Rooting LP seems most simple. Can anyone confirm using any of the unofficial TWRP versions 3.X would work flawlessly with LP rooted?
2. I understand to root MM, I probably need to follow the MM Root thread in the General section, BUT, how do I get to MM from LP? Shall I take the official OTA or is there a safer way? Can you point me to it?
3. MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: Once I'm Rooted and TWRP'd on MM, is there a way to return to Stock to return the phone or sell it? I don't mean going back to 5.1.1, I mean simply being on Stock MM, UNROOTED, and Stock Recovery? Haven't seen a single guide showing this? I think the Return to Stock Zip takes you back to 5.1.1/10c? Can anyone please chime in?
4. Bonus question: Is it truly worth it to go from LP to MM? Is there a true upside, especially if I don't use a case for the Fingerprint scanner?
Appreciate your help in advance! Thank you so so much!

Bootlocker Question

I installed Cyanogenmod13 on my Z5C after unlocking my bootloader completely oblivious as to what I was doing.
I managed to use Emma to flash a rom (5.1.1) Lollipop on my phone. Unfortunately I cant receive any OTA updates. Is this because it could've been a customized rom and OTA wouldnt come through because of that?
If so, is there any method to get OTA updates once unlocking bootloader? Sorry for asking this, I've had mixed answers from people on XDA and google tells me another story
Many thanks.

G925F BTU - Android nougat to marshmallow

Hi,
I've been looking for an answer to my question, and I think it's been catagorically answered - you cannot downgrade from nougat to marshmallow mainly because the bootloader needs to be downgraded.
I desperately want to get back to marshmallow as nougat broke a certain app that I use all the time, and the app is no longer being maintained.
I currently have SuperStock S8 ROM installed on my G925F. Before I rooted and installed this, it was running the official OTA Samsung Updates available in the UK (my phone is BTU). This firmware would have been this one here - https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6-edge/SM-G925F/BTU/download/G925FXXS5EQL6/202020/
Now my question is can I downgrade to marshmallow at all? I mean, even if it's an unofficial ROM which requires root (preferable). Because I think the main reason the app I'm having difficulty with has stopped working is due to the bootloader or modem... Possibly. I don't really know what I'm talking about.
Any help is greatly appreciated, and apologies if I have left out any relevant info required to help provide an answer.
Thanks in advance.
