Hello so i have a sm-G928F samsung galaxy s6 edge plus
i've rooted it and installed nethunter over it using this stock
yesterday it started to detect a usb being plugged in and out every few second even tho it weren't
1). First i tried to recover an old backup using TWRP from when the phone worked fine, this did'nt solve my problem...
so i decided to unroot it so i could take it back to the store leading to 2
2). using odin and stock firmware from here and chosing the one named: G928FXXS3BPIB (i'm from denmark and read somewhere this is the right one)
when i run the stock firmware in odin it fails at cm.bin, i've tried change usb port with no success
and after the first try my device is now bricked and my only options are to go into download mode/screen of failor
Any help would be greatly apriciated!

Recently I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy 3 7.0 (SM-T210R) WiFi edition. After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device. If anybody is able to resolve my issue I would greatly appreciate it.

I can not do either of those methods, because my computer no longer recognizes this device when I plug it in.

i think you have same problem as in this thread
So, I own 2 devices with custom ROMs all flashed onto them. (One is running Android 4.4.2 and another is runing 5.0.2)
So, I decided to take an old GT-i9100G and attempt to flash Android 5.0 onto it.
Unfortunately, the CWM recovery that was installed was unstable, and would result in a reboot back into the ROM. I attempted to flash another recovery with Odin, but that bricked the phone on startup. I reflashed another kernel and it booted up fine, but restarts randomly, making it unusable for more than a few minutes.
So, I've downloaded the stock firmware from SamMobile, and tried flashing it, but for some reason, Odin flat out refuses to detect the phone. Even if it's in normal or download mode. I tried the Samsung USB cable and even the one that came with my LG G3. No dice. USB debugging is enabled too.
Any help is much appreciated. I really want to bring this phone up to date as it's the first Android phone I've ever used and it holds a special place in my heart.
Also, I flashed an Android 5.0.2 ROM to my GT-i9300 not too long ago, so USB drivers are updated.
So I was trying to root my phone last night and watched some guides but none of them matched my Samsung Galaxy S4 4.4.2 SGH-1337m Sasktel so then I finally found an article: I cant post the link but the title was Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update: How To Root SGH-I337M Variant On Latest OS And Install Custom ROMs [TUTORIAL] Please look at it.
And so I used odin 3.09 exe and AP'd cf-autoroot and in the middle of the download it said failed rather than pass. After that I just pressed exit and pulled the plug, now my phone is saying Firm Upgrade encountered an issue...please selyatta yatta yatta.
Help is appreciated!
Hey dont take tension your phone is still alive it happened to me alao while rooting. It has simple solution just connect your phone to pc and open download mode in your phone then start odin and select that cf autoroot file and start rooting and after some minute your phone will be rooted and it will be working properly.
If it helps then please click thanks button:thumbup:
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Hello everyone, I have a problem with Bell sgs2 and I'm from Ukraine,so please sorry for my English.
A little bit of history: my sister from Canada closed her contract with bell and sent me the phone. As it turned out, device was still locked, so I tried to download the latest firmware and make unlock. Firstly I tried to unlock the phone running Android 2.3.3 with custom kernel by using galaxy_S unlock app, it was succesful, but I wanted latest firmware and tried to flash different unofficial ROMs. Every time I did it nothing happened because of different errors.
Problem starts here:
Then installed rooted official ROM Android ICS with Odin and noticed that in Kies there was an update for my device. Tried to install it, but it failed when the phone was in download mode (because of damaged usb cable maybe). In Kies they wrote that I should disconnect device and take out battery. I did it.
Now when I turn it on it stops on Samsung logo. I still can open download mode or stock recovery, which is great. But the problem is that Odin doesn't recognize the phone anymore while it is in download mode. Tried to uninstall, install drivers - nothing happened. The good thing is that I can see my phone with adb when it is in recovery, tried to install some zips from sideload or external sd card - nothing happened ( Error, status 7). So basically I can't install official md5 ROM from sammobile because of Odin and can't find normal zips for recovery.
Please help Will be grateful!!!
Eventhough I have done a lot of search in samsung galaxy J2 ACE (G532G),couldn't find a single forum ,post, tutorial in name of J2 ACE..There are rooting tutorials only available for J2 PRIME (G532G),which is a similar ROM variant.I have tried many of J2 Prime tutorials and end up in bootloop/boot lock screen. So requesting XDA developers to help me in creating prerooted firmware.I have added stock roms's google drive link.
Its a stock ROM of J2ACE .I downloaded it after i got into bootloop .Flashed in my J2ACE mobile ,verified working good.
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5BpnlH8S_TWUW51RmNqWmFDNlU&export=download
Any developer kindly use above ROM and create a prerooted ROM.As without root ,the stock marshmallow 6.0.1 ROM filled with bloatwares of samsung ,which are memory eaters.I got left only 500mb,if I add any four or five apps, out of 8GB internal memory.SD card also write protected.I couldnt install and use whatsapp, bcz I end up in exhausting free memory to 50mb.
Please ,any help greatly appreciated by few thousand users of J2 ACE out there.
Below are J2prime G532G tutorials ,I have gone through.I request other J2ACE holders not to give them try.If you have tried them accidentally and ended up in bootloop or boot lock screen,Kindly use ROM from above drive link and flash it with ODIN.
1.Rooting Method of G532G/H/M.(Tried this method and end up in Boot Lock Screen)

2.ROOT G532G WITHOUT BOOT LOCK PASSWORD ( But it does get into Boot Lock)

Solution :
Video tutorial on flashing J2 ACE stock ROM flashing,If you get "Set Warrenty Bit void" KNOXX error by flashing and also for BOOT Lock Screen,

There is people out there saying use Z3x Box to unlock Boot Lock screen .But it does cost 10,000 Indian currencies ,more price than that of J2 ACE mobile price. Also there is 'no box' version of Z3x samsung tool v24.3 available over internet ,which unfortunately doesnt support G532G Unlocking. There is no latest version of Z3x tool 27.00 without Box available so far.No local unlocking vendors/service centers, i could find in south indian cities around me.So Pre-Rooted ROM is the only hope of People buying Middle end budget phone Samsung Galaxy J2 ACE(G532G).
How can a noob like me tell the difference btw sm-g532g and sm-g532g? J2 Ace (my phone) claims to be model sm-g532g, how do I tell the difference?
Root Samsung j2 ace
Well i cant provide you the rom, but here i can tell how to root it..
For rooting samsung j2 ace-
- First Install the rom which you have provided(yes i have rooted samsung j2 ace by your rom)
- After installing rom, Make sure you dont download any ota update from samsung (very Important)
- Boot your phone into download mode, and flash the twrp recovery. (you can search on google for that and if still you dont get it comment back i will give you download link)
- This time you will see that you phone doesnt go in boot lock (Yellow warning appears but not red one)
- Now boot into recovery by ADB and you will have twrp recovery
- Now flash super-su zip

2 methods for TWRP + root
I am using the stock ROM you so kindly have made available.
The first method I have tried with success is "EASY-G532-TWRP+ROOT-NEW". There are an exe file and an MP4 file in the folder. You only need to have Samsung USB drivers installed on your PC. Connect your phone to your PC - normal mode. Play the media file for instructions. Your phone will be rooted witin

The second method is quite simple.
- flash TWRP via Odin
- in recovery mode, flash SuperSU and then no-verity-no-encrypt.
Done.
