Will substratum work on the Moto z with Android 7.0
some parts of the themes seems to be working with stock N. i have theme my navbar without any issues. but bootloops when i theme the whole system ui
Gesendet von meinem XT1650 mit Tapatalk
Likely no since it doesn't seem to have OMS built right in, evident by the user above having a bootloop after theming the entire UI
Most of the themes bootloops, only theme that worked for me is Swift dark and Swift black from playstore.
It would probably be best to wait for a ROM for the Z that bakes in OMS support just to ensure that all Substratum themes work.
I've also used it for Navbar only and works fine, wouldn't recommend trying much more than that unless you're prepared to fix a bootloop each time.
I got mine working with spectrum theme.
Nougat with turbo z kernel

Substratum theme not working on rooted honor 8 stock rom...?
Hi, you can use Substratum themes but you phone will need to be rooted with Magisk and install the "Systemless Substratum Legacy" module on Magisk (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-systemless-substratum-legacy-t3623607) + the theme engine that you can get on the Play Store.
Or you will need to wait EMUI 6 which supports Substratum Themes natively.
PS: EMUI stock apps are not supported
The substratum theme engine doesn't work on EMUI 5. Use a custom ROM.

Margarita theme supports centre clock . Margarita is an exclusive theme shipped with Cardinal aosp only . But it's not LOS based so if U dont mind that then u are free to check the thread
Cardinal thread link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...pment/mido-cardinal-aosp-8-0-t3713025/page293
is there any possibility to get margarita theme in other ??
Use K-Klock, it's designed for OP3 yet works perfect on mido. Select Nitrogen ROM that worked for me.
Alternatively use xposed for Oreo and fresh off the block Gravity Box O. This has centre clock and works including the icon colour change on light themes.

Thanx Mate <3
I know there's a way to do this on Oreo, but don't know about Nougot. I've searched around and haven't gotten very far. I was wondering if there was maybe an ADB command I could run to elevate the apps privilages EX: Greenify and System UI Tuner. I'm on Android 7.0 (NOT 7.1.1) and am unrooted. Anybody know of any such method? If not, can I somehow utilize LG's theme options?
There is no way to do it.
Oreo has OMS by default from google so substratum team were able to make the Andromeda Plugin.
For nougat, The OMS commits has to be implemented into the custom rom(eg. Resurrection Remix)you are using but not just that you have to be rooted in able to use substratum because Andromeda is made for oreo only.

Oh well. There's nothing I could do with the LG theme utility? I'm assuming not; the only way of downloading themes for that is through the LG Smartworld app as far as I can tell and Substratum doesn't say anything about it.

I'm so glad for your work Tnx bro, does your rom support xposed?
Does it have any bugs?
Thanks for the great work on the rom! It feels like a new device. By the way, How do I get the full Google apps like on stock rom? Because it only includes Google Play store, Google app and YouTube app.
Make a full Deodex, later enable Superuser Mod and Substratum theme engine, and will be the better ROM for Xperia X
Thanks for this!
But my Volume-Buttons are not responding. I'm stuck at the ROOT-Choice...
1. What about battery drain?
2. Do you include yours customize kernel or using default?
3. Aby bugs (fingerprint, camera)
4. HAL3 included? (Cam2api, RAW capture)

Hmm. What recovery are you using? It's should be OK with TWRP 3.1.1
But If you are using this one, then send me please recovery.log after stuck.
Code:
adb shell
cp /tmp/recovery.log /sdcard/recovery.log
After that you can find it in Internal Storage.

1. Should be identical to stock.
2. No, stock kernel.
3. Nope.
4. Сamera features identical to stock.
Guys, this a STOCK BASED ROM, which means almost all things should the same as in stock firmware!
All changes done you can see in features list.
Thanks!
Looks very intresting, but I can see some custom ROMs you've made for another devices...
Do you plan to compile, for example, LOS 15.1 for X in the near future?)

Of course no! It's stock based, and stock ROM can use only stock kernel (which is 3.10 in case someone forgot).
Ah I see, so 4.4 is only for aosp rom?
