hi guys , have a problem.
Some month ago my cousin rooted my xperia z4 tab ( SGP712 ) , after unlocking bootloader , now his kernel is androplus kernel
3.10.84-v31 without backupping the TA partition ( so the drm keys).
After that i seen , more more crash on my device . So i want to install the official stock rom of sony ( the latest , nougat ? ).
But i dont have drm keys anymore.
so these are the question:
1) There is some way i can install official rom ? ( i know that drm keys are lost forever ). ?
2) There is some way i can receive ota ? ( probably not )
Please guys help me.

Hi,
What is your firmware version ?
kernel v31 is very old (latest for MM 6.01 is v42
You can flash stock rom via Flashtool and Xperifirm( 0.9.22.3 not the sony flashtool)
Google it or search in XDA forums

hey,
i flashed cyanogenmod on my ray.. but after all u flashed the stock rom again from this forum (ftf via flashtool).
the thing is that SE companion software says (if i want to update /repair my firmware) that the firmware is modified and it wonmt update it. now my question: do i now always have to flash the new roms (for example when ICS will come) or is there a method to get back to the real stock rom so that SE companion will update/repair the firmware?
im on android 2.3.4. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1316070)
its rooted and the kernel is still the one from the cyanogenmod (i think- well, i didnt flash any new kernels after cyanogenmod..just flashed the rom)
bootloader is unlocked
hope you can help me..thx
yes after unlocking bootloader you always have to install stock firmwares via flash tool
use wotan server , it is a great way to install stock rom
hmm okay thanks! .. btw is there a way to lock the bootloader again so i can install the firmware with SE again?
thanks for the tip!
Hi all
I have a Xperia Z2 SGP521. I downgraded to version 17.1.A.2.69
I did that with Flashtool. Afterwards i rooted with Towelroot and installed SUPERSU.
Now i have full root.
I get the message that there is an OTA update. Can i do that without loosing ROOT ?????
Can i flash the stock Lollipop ROM without loosing ROOT (from Experifirm) ?
Does someone have a firmware package (FTF) prerooted wich i can flash with flashtool. I dont want to flash recovery....because i lost all my data triing that
If you find this Q to be obsolete because it is asked a million times......neglect it.
There is so mucg info on this but not with the ezact firmwares i use or wanna use and i have been told this device can brick easy. So this Q is to be shure !!!

hi there, i hope you are all doing good
i have SOL25 ( ZL2 ) and when i bought it it had a rom ( D6563 ) which is Z2a rom so i put the sim unlock pin and i wanted to flash the SOL25 rom using flashtool but i get error everytime, i flashed back ( d6563 ) and it is working for now
if i repair it with sony companion and say it is ZL2 while he is ditecting it as Z2a, would that work ? or i have to flash a stock rom first
1. is there a side effect for keeping D6563 rom ?
2. SOL25 is supposed to be 32 gb but i only get 11gb, is it cause the rom is not the stock one ?
3. can you give me a link to the stock sol25 rom ?
4. do you know any way to flash the original one ?
thank you

Hello
I flashed the latest firmware available for my S6 edge (SM-G925F) : G925FXXU3DPDP (XEF).
I've never used Android 5.1.1 on my phone and I asks to you if downgrade is possible at this point (latest BL I think) and if yes, how ?
Thanks you for your further replies
Bye.
I Think Once u Flashed The latest Firmware U can't Go back
Because Of bootloader
Bt U can try Download Android LP And boot loader And put Ur phone in Download Mode Flash with odin
i updated on 6.02...
didn´t like it...
flashed back to 5.1.1 stock without problems (odin)
Hello poci,
You were running with which firmware ?
It's easy to go back to lollipop?
I'm reading some comments off people wich say No, ando some less who say Yes.
i made an OTA update from 5.1.1 to 6.0.2... but i didn´t like the battery drain on 6.0.2......(or 6.0.1 i don´t know anymore)
after clean install of 6.0.2....there was no change at all...
then i went back to 5.1.1 by flashing a stock 5.1.1. firmware with odin...no trouble or anything else...
If flash fails, is my device will be hardbricked ???
if you have the right firmware...i would say "no"
so why should it fail?
i used this firmware for my o2 edge
G925FXXU3QOLD_G925FTEF3QOL1_G925FXXU3QOJB_HOME.tar
Beceause newest bootloaders blocks downgrade, you was in which firmware on Marshmallow ?
don´t know exactly...60.1 then
when 6.0.2 blocks downgrade...
Hi everyone,
I recently flashed my G8342 to another region android 8.0 (yes, downgrade) through flashtool.
The ftf files that i downloaded is not come from XperiaFirm, since there is no way to download old firmware from official sony website for this device.
In this case, is the device still safe ? I did not unlock any bootloader or rooting the device.
Thank you.
You should be fine...

Hi.
Flash firmware via newflasher or flashtool won't change status of bootloader, and device after Xperia XZs can't relock the bootloader.
Don't be afraid, your device is still safe.
