Any stats for SOT under different roms? I only got around 4 hours under recent RR rom (I have to keep bluetooth on all the time because of my watch). I heard about people could get 6 under original EUI.
I'm getting 4 hours on small eui by aurel.. Brightness is just a little bit more than the least
Around 4h on RR and AOKP, always auto brightness at max, default governor/kernel/battery profile.
I'm thinking of switching to stock 20s, sacrificing just a little performance and a few tweaks for more SOT.
7am to 11pm with around 6 hours sot mainly playing 8 Ball pool and tapped out lol. Official Indian rom with nova launcher.
My humble opinion is that the stock EUI ROM works great out of the box. SOT is just a little more than 6 hrs on average. The best thing of all - I do not have the need to restart my device at all. My record run was 3 months and a couple of days of constant on time. Never before did I own a smartphone with such a stable stock OS. I previously used android running LG, Samsung, ZTE Nubia and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 ( Snapdragon ). This is also the first time that I didn't root my phone. Nor do I feel I have any reason to.

Yes but stock indian rom has a lousy performance compared to the chinese.
6+ hours on x829 stock/vendor usa rom, tried most non stock roms and never broke 5 hours.

Performs perfectly well enough for me. No issues and no lags and all apps and games work fine.
If you mean it gets a lower benchmark then yes but who cares about benchmarks if it does what you want it to? I never run benchmarks because they are pointless.

Not for me its not. Not all about benchmarks if it works OK. Even a slower sd820 is not slow. The rom just works as it should. Though I have not tried the Chinese rom due to it not having play store and Indian one does. How easy is it to install play services on Chinese rom?
Tried most of custom roms and I was not impressed with any of them.

Very easy, you just need to have a custom recovery like TWRP, enter it and flash gapps, that's it.

Installing 20s is easy, installing gapps is a right PITA. Which ever gapps I tried once started the phone just says they have stopped working and cant get past em. On top of that my twrp has been replaced with stock recovery now and my pc refuses adb connection now to flash it again so having to install indian rom via stock recovery lol.

I convinced myself the grass wasn't really going to be greener on the other side, and that Nougat need ironed out, and so I should be patient and enjoy MM with xposed. Then the other night, I thought it wouldn't hurt just to try Nougat, so I took the bait and flashed RR. I really thought I bricked my phone. It installed okay - no problems. It was when I'd reboot the phone would spiral into a crash and freeze, and get blazing hot. Yes, clean installed wiped all but storage/boot/recovery. Tried to re-flash a couple of times. Same story, all went well until the minute I reboot. Then my phone wouldn't even turn on. 2 days later on the charger I managed to 'wake' it back up. x829 here.
So right now it's back to LOS13 Not great battery, but everything just works and I prefer the stock-like google android.
Any good ROM support Substratum?
Well maybe you did something wrong. Try to reflash again.
RR-N is fantastic and at the moment absolutely the best rom for X82x.
All of us would have the same problems you are mentioning if that is true...

RR-N hands down.
I had a similar problem, I suspected TWRP wasn't wiping correctly. Flashing over top (which I thought were " clean " flashes) just added strange problems, battery, overheating, force reboots, bootloops. I couldn't even get factory data reset to work.
Only thing that worked was a complete restore back to 23s/ it fixed all the strange problems.

Well I'll have to try it again, maybe with the above suggestion of 1st returning stock. Today I decided to test drive the DU N ROM. It looks like DU might be what I might be looking for, as I really wanted something with Substratum support. Devs are crazy busy the last few days/weeks, great to see!
Edit.. Really like DU at the moment. Paired with the Magpie Reborn substratum, this le max 2 is themed out dark, and loving the experience
None of them, 'cause I have exactly zero trust in them.
It's either official ROMs/LineageOS or GTFO. You may as well tell me to install 100 pieces of malware.

Not in my case. Leaking 0.5-1% of battery every hour even in Ultra Power Savings mode (i.e. no WiFi, No Cellular, no wake ups, i.e. completely idle).
My Nexus 5 spends just 1% of battery every 20 hours with WiFi on and background apps runnings.
Heyyo, tbh there's no such thing as a final ROM fight as they're always evolving... For instance, I'd definitely never consider the current EUI as my final ROM due to lack of Vulkan and I hate the quick toggles in the recent apps compared to how good it works in notification drop down in every other Android ROM...
For MM though? RR MM would be my choice due to customization plus the More kernel is really good. Nougat based ROMs still have lot of work to be done but they're getting really darn good.
for me Indian 19s.
Hiya! I was wondering what kind of cam apps have you been using. I'm currently on resurrection remix 5.8.4 and its brilliant! It works amazingly! But ofcourse its difficult to replace the default sony camera app. So I was wondering what substitute does everyone use one way or another?
How's your battery life with that ROM? how many SOTs are you getting on a casual internet/facebook use?
Also, i recommend Xnext camera, you could find a flashable zip here somewhere.

Its been awesome! Its faster and really more bearable in comparison to stock. I used the LXT 1.5 Link
and thermal fix FSC Link
I still havent really observed my sot yet from the battery it self ill update you tomorrow but definitely faster charging with just a 2amp output charger. But drainage in idle is like 1% per hour i noticed when i wake up. And the temperature has been average it still gets warm but not as hot as it used to even while playing games like sao or khu. And thanks for the cam app! ^_^
I have a question, can you just install the zip and clean dalvik/cache or do you still have to do what the op mentioned.
If you come from RC v2.1 or ROMX you maybe need to reflash a clean system. Don't reflash ROMX 3.1! # Should be outdated

I am no expert, but if it worked without any problems on resurrection remix, then it should work on Lineage OS. Since RR is based on LineageOS anyway.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
The last 3 weeks we with @bonuzzz worked hard to make stable firmware for t820 and t825 tablets.
Finally, it's time for the first release.
Instructions
1. Install twrp
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps
Work
Almost all working
Known Issues
Sound\mic during calls

I really dug the samsung apps for the s-pen. is there a way to install them after installing lineageOS? (sorry for the newbie-question)
Hi,
i've installed the ROM yesterday and i used it today in case of a working day.
I have noticed that he unfortunately does not switch to LTE - despite full receipt. The tablet uses at most HSDPA, which makes the ROM for me currently not really usable.
It is also a bit slower than the stock ROM, but tolerable - only the network connection is still a hindrance.
I bought the tab because I thought, as a flagship this device will surely get the lineage OS.
I am still very enthusiastic and really thankful that someone has made such a great ROM for this tablet- many many thanks to the devs!!!
regards
Ralf
Edit: after reinstalling this ROM is found the switch to change the preferred connection type to LTE. So i go on using it

For the 820 the GPS is not working.
Can we expect the same with this 825 version?
Thanks for your efforts!!
Ok so, I gave the rom a chance and to be honest it works quite well.
Kudos to Valera and Bonuzzz for the effort, this is looking very promising.
I don't use the S-Pen nor the phone-calling stuff so, my experience with this build doesn't include those two.
General usage feels snappy, I only had some trouble while playing video streams on the stock browser and firefox. The problem went away while using chrome.
Tried a couple of HDR 4K files on MX Player and they seemed to play nicely.
Played around with the settings, everything cool.
The only problem so far is a huge battery drain during normal usage.
Aside from that, this is an excellent beginning.
Considering this is just a 1st release, it's very stable.
If you need any kind of testing, I'm more than willing to help.

Well, you should. At least it could give you a good idea of what to expect when the rom is ready.
I have never used lineage on a tablet so I wasn't sure what to expect.
For starters, normal use is just what you can imagine, youtube, chrome, mx player (hdr stuff), headphones, couple of silly games.
After checking how stable it was, tried Xposed -sucessfully- and every module worked fine (amplify, bootmanager, rootcloack, xnotify, youtube adaway). The drain is severe, you could literally notice the % going down ridiculously fast.
What's worst, my normal app usage and settings are designed to not duplicate what I can already do on my HTC 10.
So no GPS or Bluetooth, almost no applications doing sync stuff that I already have on my smartphone. (Gmail for e.g)
I always force wifi to sleep when display is off. Again, I don't need another device duplicating my smartphone.
LTE data is also off most of the time (and LTE works as expected per Speedtest -70 mbit-)
But again, settings are tweaked to maximize battery, while using it and while sleeping.
I have used BetterBatteryStats to take some measures, the drain is related to the core of the OS services.
A simple comparison with Stock. I just have started debloating touchwiz (very happy with the progress there too TBH), and barely scraching the surface of what can be done on stock, BBS is reporting 6.25 minutes per 1% of battery. Roughly 10 hours of battery of non stop use. After removing 85% of Samsung bloatware and its services, it's going to look even better. Samsung never ceases to amaze me with their never ending junk. So again, the rom is not ready for primetime. But that could change fast.
IMHO, you should install TWRP and do a backup of stock stuff and take a dive. Even if Lineage feels like android for smartphones, still works wonders. And you can go back to touchwiz in 3 minutes...
EDIT: Forgot to quantify the drain. The android energy forecast estimated 3-4 hours for a full charge. Closer to 3....
i wish there was developer who would give us debloated, tweaked stock rom .. i know this is not the right thread for making this post, but still

What a nice reply from a brazillian fellow =)
hey OP, I'm with u, with stock rom and locked bootloader...
I would suggest u to unlock BL to solve ur notification issues, u'll need root too and flash that gps+speedview mod zip.
As far as bloat is concerned, its a serius issue, miui keeps mining our private data in d background. So I wil move frm miui forever once LOS 16 official becomes stable, will never flash n use data mining miui.
as for my experience. in todays android i see not much benefit using custom roms. most of the things we need are on the play store already.
whats more important for me now is to unlock bootloader, custom recovery and root access. to remove unnecessary things my default os has
and wat about touch problems and lag ?
I bought my first smartphone in 2011 and a while after a rooted it and never went back.
Been on custom ROMs since then and i can tell you two things for 2019:
1. There's nothing a locked-unrooted phone can do that an unlocked-rooted phone can't do.
2. There's almost nothing an unlocked-rooted phone can do that a locked-unrooted phone can't do.
The matter is which workarounds piss you off the least.
If you choose the "unlocked/rooted/custom ROM" path, be prepared to do some research and find yourself here on XDA every other day (especially in the beginning).
Personally, i tried to play clean for about 2 months now that I got my Poco (locked-unrooted). Almost everything I needed could be done.
But old habits die hard. I want more. So i'm in my 40th hour of waiting for my bootloader to be unlocked atm...
My question would be why would you like to stay with that buggy, overbloated, intrusive and crappy interface called MIUI?
Xiaomi.eu version is less bloated.
Also install malakas Kernel and your good to go, no thermal throttling with module in kernel thread. Kernel works also with Los ROM.
As for root, just run magisk and hide root from apps that sniff for it.
There are many options out there.
Skickat från min POCOPHONE F1 via Tapatalk
It is VERY worth it imho...
Sure it's a bit of a hassle to unlock the poco but just for the battery drain alone it's worth it.
I went from losing about 10% battery in a night ( all antenna's off , battery saver on ) to just 2% ...
Daytime battery drain has also massively improved.
Even if miui is to your liking you can still get a lot more benefits for unlocking and re-flashing the poco

Lol that was so long ago, don't worry i installed xiaomi eu like few weeks after and using it ever since.
I would say yes. Stock ROMs are nice in some ways, but I don't necessarily trust that they're not data mining. I've tried damn near every combination of every ROM and kernel available. I want speed, battery life and privacy. Official RevengeOS, Arter Kernel R7, F2FS, no gapps, no microg. That's my current setup and it blows stock MIUI clean out of the water.
Ultimately I guess it depends on your needs though.
All custom roms for poco is ****, all contains tons of bugs lmao,
None of them works for screencast , oxygen os,rescurretion remix rom started to bootloop after 7-8 hrs,
I ve tried rr, oxygen os, lineage os, crdroid already, all got problems,
So i installed back stock rom, rooted via magisk, and uninstalled stock apps which i dont needed.
Now i m happy
I recently got this phone with the intention of flashing it daily like I used to with my Nexus 5, however, so far, I have had no reason to run anything other than the stock MIUI. It works well, does what I need it to, and as long as it gets updated on a regular basis with security updates, will suffice.
Just upgraded to newest MIUI 13. I factory reset my device for the new OS update. I'm in doubt if battery is better or worse.
What is your experience?
Mine is 30% better
I have not noticed any difference after upgrading to MIUI 13, it seems to be the same.

Haven't really seen any big battery improvements, except that it's true, it lasts a LITTLE bit longer.
I'm using a mi 11 ultra and since i updated it to MIUI 13 battery life went from average to terrible. I now barely reach 5h of SOT... I reset the phone and tried many things but nothing worked. I wish I had stayed under MIUI 12.5

I'm sure by flashing the MIUI 12.5 rom that you can find on xiaomi's website or with xiaomi.eu ROMs, you should be able to rehave that battery life. But, you should also install betterbatterystats, to see which process use that much battery. 5h of SOT is pretty low.
I don't want to go to through the hassle of downgrading.. I shouldn't have to do that to have the battery life i used to have... Xiaomi doesn't know how to handle updates properly. Thank you though
I found ultra battery saver mode to be very bad. It used to have 350 hours and now it's 55 hours. Rest all seems to be okay.

Just upgraded to newest MIUI 13. I factory reset my device for the new OS update. I'm in doubt if battery is better or worse.

From the first few days of testing, I'd say it's worse, and quite noticeable. I get around 4 SoT, usually it was around 5-6 with 90hz... I did a fresh install on a factory reseted phone Tho it might be the fact that neither the miui backup nor Google backup saved any of my settings, so might be few weeks till I get my phone into it's operating window...
But then again, phone seems a lot faster to me, and cold as ice.
When will MIUI 13 come for Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G? Any Idea?
I got OTA notif ten days ago (but I don't want to update,)
You can find another thread and posts (search, read thread titles for 5g ne) where other users already received and updated
After all, if you don't receive in your country (who knows Xiaomi policies about updating), you can find the MIUI 13 firmware on Xiaomi Firmware Updater site, and by googling instructions how to install manually

Haven't really seen any big battery improvements, except that it's true, it lasts a LITTLE bit longer.

Did you reset your phone to get the improvement?

No, I just did a classic OTA update.
At 80% (I usually don't go more than that on a regular day), I got a battery estimation around 20 hours.
most of the time, SOT 4 hours, facebook, whatsapp, messenger, twitter
