Yes, I have tried the camera lens bought from eBay. I bought it for INR 399 (inc. INR 100 shipping). I would say it is worth it since we have no other options. It's been a month and there are no scratches. I had applied a transparent tape strip over it which can be replaced every week and will protect it from any scratches in future.

Ps. - I had tried the toothpaste method but it didn't work for me.
I didn't buy from eBay buy instead tried Amazon.in and found the glass replacement for 300 RS approx. The glass is good and has a glue coating on bottom and I also applied a skin on the camera glass that will protect it.

I just ordered a screen protector from Ebay including shipping for $3.99. It's a 3 Layer 12.4" LCD Screen Protector. I just need to trim it to the G Tablet. Just copy the above title and paste it in Ebay so you can see the description.
I purchased these (lexard two pack from Amazon). All in all they are good. It reduces the reflection a bit. The camera and light sensor holes are not an exact fit. There were quite a few bubbles after install but after a few days, most are gone. It does look like it will do the job of protecting the screen.
All in all, a little expensive but better than a scratched screen.

The Lexerd screen protectors are crap!
Recieved the product and it was no where near up to my standards.... thin and flimsy... it had dust on it already before it was applied (between the screen protector and the piece of plastic that you peel the proctector from. When massaging bubbles out, the included smoothing tool scratched the protector.

I hope this cheap one is good or at least decent. I just ordered one.
I was shocked that a screen protector in a store is like $40 also. And then you have to cut it to size, still.

Unless they sent me the wrong one..... It only covers the viewing area.
I guess, it will do until I can get one that fully covers. It was only $9.99 but still dissapointed it doesn't cover it fully.

I bought the B&D one too. Only covers the viewing area. Waiting to find a full face one also... better than nothing for now.

Expensive but its amazing. Smooth as glass and I know it can take a beating. Doesnt even look like there is anything on my screen

Replacing just the glass is hell on earth. You have to unglue the glass from the digitizer and if you're not careful, you'll end up cracking it. You're better off buying a full LCD + Digitizer assembly and replacing it entirely than mess around with replacing just the glass... Just my two cents.
if i was to do that mate id send the phone back as its still under insurance but that return would cost me about £30 and be without my phone for at least 2 weeks.

They have been selling the parts in China, around 1.69 for Glass only, 9.50 for whole assembly.
The ebay one seems authentic enough. I would just get the Glass only if I can, even if bad quality, 1.69 nothing to lose.
I contacted general LG service in my country and it is actually cheper to go with them then with original part from Ebay

remove the back cover.. remove screw, remove the top part carefully .. using some safety pin remove the glass n done i just remove by myself just before 2 days .. its easy ..
Bought mine some days ago.... Waiting the good moment to do the swap...

Another question. I removed the coating from the lens glass cover last time that's why I'm getting glare on strong lights. Are the replacement parts available online includes the coating that is applied on the original package or just the glass? Thanks.
Ok, just changed mine. Definitively better than the old one scratched/polished, no more halo. Probably the original made by sapphire glass is better when new, but almost the camera is usable..

My replacement seems to be policarbonate (2€ shipped.......) but the overall image quality is better than before.

I got silicon case and tempered glass screen protector, from roadside vendor, have to make do with this as there is no good brand cover, btw got cover for 50 rs and screen protector for 80 rs

Pros:
Fit & Finish wise both products are good,
there are so many alternates of Silicon cover, But personally i like transparent color so ordered it.
Rest all is well after 7 days of use.
Cons:
Cover & screen guard will increase the chances of overheating,
Both products seems overpriced, when you will compare with local vendors.

Glass screen guard peeled out from center corner of phone while hold it tightly.. Better to use normal screen protector instead of glass one If you are using Silicon types of cover.
