Rom installation and Fixes-
2 - Unlock the Bootloader
3 - Install the English TWRP in Fastboot mode[ Completed in above step]
4 - Install the EU ROM via TWRP
5- *#*#1#*#* --> TEL_Assistant --> Telephony --> Radio Acces Tec --> change to 5 Mode
6 - * # * # 4636 # * # * II Sim 1 and choose LTE /TD- SCMDA / WCMDA

Hi,
Tried rooting version multirom_MI5C_7.4.13_v7.1.1_b14 and it didn't work - just boots to fastboot. Also, when I change the settings to LTE /TD- SCMDA / WCMDA, they aren't stored and they revert back to the old settings. Any ideas why?
Stewart

this setting is only For EU Nougat Rom Not For Stock Rom, I means, First of all all unlock bootloader, then use toolkit to install twrp, and then create a nandroid backup using twrp, then flash superuser. Flash Eu Rom via twrp, again flash superuser ,This Recovery and Rom is only For 'Song' Not tested on 'Meri' you can also backup fastboot Rom using toolkit,

I'll try another ROM

Nothings! I have twrp song from EU forum and ROM 7.4.13, last EU rom.. But after flash root device go on fastboot mode!
How I can do for root this phone?!
Thanks

I rooted mine using this method
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/systemless-root-magisk-android/

Thanks... Work for me!

Only for global or also for Miui ITA?

Wich Rom? And wich android version? I try to flash magisk v12 to nougat Miui ita, but only fastboot
Can you help me? Could you explain the procedure? Thanks in advance

I'm using multirom_MI5C_7.4.27_v7.1.2_b16_946a918689 from here https://mirror.byteturtle.eu/multirom/7.4.27/multirom_MI5C_7.4.27_v7.1.2_b16_946a918689.zip but I think you can use any ROM.
1. Flash TWRP from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767152790 using fastboot
2. Flash ROM using TWRP
3. Download Magisk v9 (.zip) from http://downloadmirror.co/Usj/Magisk-v9.zip
4. And phh’s SuperUser from here http://downloadmirror.co/Usk/phh-superuser-magisk-r266-2.zip
5. Put both files on your phone and boot into recovery.
6. Flash Magisk, then flash phh’s SuperUser then reboot.
7. Install phh’s SuperUser app from the Play Store.

Great!!!!

Thanks works!! But i don't understand why the latest Magisk v12 cause bootloop, anyway thank you so much Stew

Hi!
I have two questions in connection with it!
1. Formerly I flashed Xiaomi.eu ROM (Android N) which cannot guarantee ROOT for the phone, so I don't have it in the Permissions Menu.
Here comes the question, if I follow the described steps, will it turn up among the Permissions?
2. I use my phone in Hungary, accordingly only 4G network is available, 3G band is very weak or it is not available at all.
I read that the following setup can solve my problem if I do it in the Dialer menu:
* # * # 4636 # * # * II Sim 1 and choose LTE /TD- SCMDA / WCMDA
My current installation is not fit for it, because it reset itself back automatically to the default factory settings - LTE/UMTS auto (PRL)
Can you please check it for mer whether the Magisk and phh's SuperUser installation can solve this problem and I can use the LTE /TD- SCMDA / WCMDA setting?
Thanks in advance for your effort!

1. You won't see anything in the permissions menu for root so I don't understand the question.
2. Its a bug on the phone. It looks like it resets but reboot the phone and it will show LTE /TD- SCMDA / WCMDA. Rooting won't solve this or affect it.

Thanks for the quick response!
1. I have a Redmi Note 2 as well, after I installed the SuperSu, a new menu pont turned up in the Permissions, it's called Root permissions. Therefore I asked that it works the same way in case of Mi5c or not.
2. Are you sure? After the reboot it shows the same LTE/UMTS as previously... Does the bug mean that works correctly but shows wrong settings or how do you mean?

1. Just checked and I don't have an extra menu in permissions so it must depend on the ROM/phone. Yeah looks like it's not on the Mi5C.
2. I think you're right. I rebooted my phone and it's showing LTE/UMTS auto. But I get 4G OK. Not sure if it's actually changed or a bug.

developers 7.1.1?

Wifi tether working on stock Sprint m9 rom, on stock Sprint m9, on Sprint network (us

One more edit: you can give this a try. Post count is 1266. Expand thread and read few posts before and after and decide if this works for you. Still have m9, still use it on Wi-Fi only, but not activated and can't test.

LAST EDIT: my Note 8 will be waiting for me at home when I get off work. After nearly 10 years with HTC, they have lost complete touch with their users, I'm out. I will no longer be involved with this thread, leaving it up to group.
I haven't been able to test this. Use caution.

WARNING! This procedure will modify your system partition. You MUST have a backup of your system partition IMAGE before following these instructions. You WILL break OTA capability. This will enable native tethering on the stock Sprint Nougat ROM with TWRP 3.1.1-0 and SuperSU 2.82 (the newest available at the time I wrote this)
Step 1:
Install these apps from the Play Store:
Buildprop Editor
ES File Explorer
Terminal Emulator
Step 2:
Open ES File Explorer, enable root explorer AND set the /system partition “R/W” from within settings pane on the left.
Navigate to “/system/customize/ACC”
Create a backup of “default.xml” by copying and pasting it in the root of internal storage, rename it to “default.bxml”, and cut and paste it back into “/system/customize/ACC”.
Open “default.xml” and use the search function to search for the word “tether”. It will return several results, but we only need to modify 2 of them.
Code:

True

1

Change the value of each setting to “False” and “0” respectively.
Save the changes.
Step 3:
Open Buildprop Editor. Scroll to the bottom, add an extra empty line to the file, and paste the following line of code at the end of your build.prop file. Be sure you DO leave an empty line beneath the code you just pasted into the file
Code:
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true
Save the changes.
Step 4:
Open Terminal Emulator and run the following commands one at a time:
Code:
su
settings put global tether_dun_required 0
exit
Reboot

Yes you can, you don't get root without recovery. You can't flash a custom recovery on a locked bootloader with s-on.
S-off, you don't need a pc to install recovery. If you have s-off (my experience on m9) your bootloader stays unlocked after running RUU.

If you removed any apps from stock rom like 1 Weather, it will install them again. It won't format data, it won't delete internal storage. The only thing that will change is you have root, recovery, and wifi tether working. Otherwise you'll see no difference in your device if you have s-off and install custom recovery and stock rom posted above.
You may need to unlock your bootloader by pc if it is locked.

Advises for Google camera + camera2 Api + root

Hi,
I'm a happy new owner of the redmi note 4 and I've already unlocked the bootloader.
I would like to use google camera, and eventually adblock.
I've seen there are various way to
- install bootloaders (and it seems there are also various boatloaders)
- root the phone
- enable camera2 api, with and without root
- ...
Actually I like to keep the stock rom and the phone as vanilla as possible, as I've read there are redundant issue with custom rom. I also do like the idea of being able to update the phone "normally", which seems to be what you call OTA update . Also, I've seen that some app may not work if some verification fails ?
So basically the question could you explain me a bit the broad picture and what would you recommend ?
Thank's
PS : sorry I'm not super acurate, I rooted my LG G2 years ago and things seems to have evolved a lot since then.

So, you want root and GCam working on your MIUI without breaking OTA updates, is that right?
• Unlock bootloader, flash RedWolf recovery then through Redwolf recovery flash LazyFlasher.
• In Redwolf enable OTA survival.
• Flash Magisk through recovery for root.
• For GCam to work, you need to enable Camera2API in your build.prop. This can be done through a simple Magisk module too. But I must warn you enabling Camera2API on MIUI might break some functionalities of your MIUI stock camera app.
I am using pixel experience 8.1 oreo rom in my redmi notr 4.and i have also install google canera mod.mgcmod5.i have done all the settings but ehen i am trying to take puctures its force closing and lagging..need solution..

If RedWolf succeeds OTA survival, then there is no need. But after OTA if RedWolf is replaced by stock recovery, then yes you'll have to flash everything once again. Refer RedWolf thread for more details on OTA survival.

Sounds right and great, thank's !
Two question.
- I've read somewhere that some custom recovery and/or root may cause some app to fail, notably banking app.
Well I used to use such app on my rooted G2 , but will it remain posible after folowing the process you suggest above ?
about redwolf, there is quite a lot of explainations in theses two links 1 and 2, however I can figure out how to install redwolf ?! what am I suppose to do with the .iso image available for download ? isn't there a step by step install guide somewhere ?
Thank's

Use Magisk for root and once Magisk is installed enable Magisk hide for the banking app, this will hide root from that particular app.
Installing a custom recovery like redwolf :
1. Unlock your phone's bootloader.
2. Download the recovery image file, rename it to "recovery.img" and place in a folder on your computer. Make sure you have working ADB and fastboot drivers installed on this computer.
3. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (Volume Down + Power button)
4. Open command prompt in the folder containing the downloaded recovery. (Shift + Mouse right click)
5. Type the below command into the command prompt
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot boot recovery.img
Once inside recovery flash ROM, Magisk, if ROM is MiUI flash lazyflasher too, or phone won't boot. If custom ROM ignore lazyflasher and flash GApps instead.
If recovery installation instructions confuse you there are infinite number of YouTube videos that will help you.

Thank's again , that's awesome!
Maybe a few more question
FIRST
at step 2) how do I make sure I have a working ADB and Fastboot drivers ?
As far as I understand, fastboot drivers should already be installed ; however I suspect ADB not to be installed.
Indeed, I've already unlocked the bootloader with this tutorial, and I can confirm the phone is unlocked from settings > more settings > developper options > Mi locking status.
So basically I've already installed MiUSBDrivers and ran miflashunlock. There are fastboot.exe, fastboot_unlock.exe and AdbWinApi.dll files in the miflash_unlock folder I downloaded and used to unlock, but I haven't used any of these later 3 files.
I have found this post to install ADB
SECOND
at step 4), the best would be to place the recovery image downladed from here into the folder containing ADB downloaded just above right ?
Then, go on with step 5)
THIRD
If everything went well, my phone is supposed to reboot in redwolf recovery, ok.
but whart do you mean by "Once inside recovery flash ROM" ?
Why am I suposed to flash a rom ?
To my understanding, I already have a rom, miui, and do not want to change for the moment.
Should I download the "Full Rom" from here, or the "Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File" rom from here ? If so, what souhld I do with the rom; where sould I place it, on the computer, on the phone ?
Or do I need to flash ROM only if I want to change/upgrade my rom ?
FOURTH
To flash Magisk and Lazyflasher.
I understood that redwolf recovery comes with Magisk, so I assume I'll only have to go to "install" tab of redwolf, and I'll find the Magisk file to flash.
Ok what about Lazyflasher ? is it also provided with redwolf ?
Or should I download it ? and if so where should I place the file ?
FIFTH (and last)
I assume once installed from recovery, Magisk will show himself as an app/icon on the "desktop", and I'll be able to selectively enable Magisk hide for the banking app.
Thank's again for your help.
Sorry if I have too many questions, I'm a little rusted, and prefer having a comprehensive picture of the porcess before jumping into it, and avoid one more post entitled helpppp pleeeeeese I bricked my phone

ADB/Fastboot Drivers
Looks like you don't have ADB/Fastboot installed system wide. Although it is completely fine to use adb/fastboot in a folder, installing it system wide is much more convenient because you can open a command window in any folder and execute ADB/Fastboot commands. [URL="https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979”]Here's the link[/URL] to download the system wide installer. Install it and REBOOT your PC.
Flashing RedWolf
Once drivers are installed and PC rebooted, connect phone in Fastboot mode and follow my previous instructions. Also now you can open command prompt in any folder and execute the commands since ADB/Fastboot is installed system wide.
Flashing ROM
Sorry if I confused you there in the previous post. If you wish to stick with your current MIUI ROM then you don't need to flash any ROM file.
Flashing Lazyflasher
You MUST flash lazyflasher since you want to stay with MIUI. If you install a custom recovery on MIUI without flashing lazyflasher, the phone will not boot and will be stuck at the MI logo. I've attached the file.
Flashing Magisk
Flash Magisk after lazyflasher. You may download the latest package from Magisk thread or use RedWolf's built in Magisk package as you said and update it later through the Magisk manager app. And yes, you can select which apps can be Magisk hidden.

Excellent !
so
- I did installed redwolf recovery - changed settings as advised here
- flashed lazyflasher
- reboot -> wokrs I'm back on miui
- reboot in redwolf and flashed magisk
- reboot into android, installed rootchek, I'm rooted
- hide magisk from magisk manager for my apps --> working
Everything works
Further questions :
- Am I suppose to clean cache at some stage ? I can still do it now ?
- Is there some recomended module for magisk ? (not sure what they are for)
- as for everything else, I've seen many options to enable camera2api. Which one would you recomend ? is "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" the only needed change or this treat rises something this
- is there a recomended version/release of google camera to use with miui9 global, latest update (not developper) (I've seen various reported issues depending on version/release)
- any other must/nice/interesting hacks to fully enjoy this phone ?
- any security recomendation ? (re-locking the bootloader ? instally some utilities... ?)
thanks
after that, I'll be done

Clean cache not required.
Magisk modules are MODs for your system but they are done without tampering your system. (Systemless MODs).
Try Dolby atmos ZTE Axon 7 audio MOD module, YouTube vanced module (100% Adfree, background play)..etc
Use Arnova's GCam.
Never ever relock bootloader with a custom recovery or custom ROM. Else irreversible brick.
I've repeated too much stuff that has been posted in the forum already, if you have any further doubts search the forum or use Google.
Flash through redwolf the attached file to enable camera2api. If you want to uninstall it later go to magisk manager and delete it.
Cheers.

Hi dude
I'm almost done but back to square 0, with blinking black screen at boot !
No crisis, I can still go to redwolf recovery, as well as fastboot.
How it happend ?
In magisk manager (on miui) I checked what modules were available in the download panel, and tried "Google Pixel 2 Experience" or something similar.
On reboot, the mi logo is displayed, then I have a black screen blinking on and off, without mi logo, just black, on and off
I thus wanted to unistal the mod with magisk module uninstaller, but the install fails and return that "magisk is not installed" and "magisk is required for this mod"
So I obviously couldn't try to uninstall the supposed failing module
I thus rebooted in redwold and installed magisk from redwolf (the included release), things went well
However, I still cant install magisk module uninstaller, getting the same error as above.
I took my chance and try to re-install magisk from the zip filed I downloaded, the install process was successfull, but I still can't install magisk mod uninstaller, and the black screen issue persist.
Lastly, I took my chance and try to re-install lazy flasher, the install process was successfull, but the black-screen issue persist.
To be honest, I'm a bit sctuck now.
What may be the right procedure to solve this problem ?
Am I screwed and do I have to reflash a whole rom ?
If so Should I do it from redwolf, and how ?
Or should I do it from the pc with fastboot, and how ?
Thanks for your directions
ps: i was interested by pixel 2 experience module as at it was written that it was compatible with mido and provides camera2api, which might have been a nice combo.
ps 2 : I also did installed dolby as you suggested, it worked but the demo crashed to app
ps 3 : I also did installed youtube vaccant, but I couldn't see any new app and my original youtube still had add and couldn't play in the back... not sure it reveals something on the effectiveness of magisk...

Step-by-step Rooting Guide with SuperSU for MI 8

I wanted to make sure everyone read this part first so that you know it's critical to backup because it happened to me figuring things out. If for any reason you are stuck in a boot loop, just reload twrp recovery and restore boot.img that you backed up for an easy quick fix.
Install drivers and adb on your PC.
Open command prompt or search 'cmd'.
Navigate to the directory with adb.exe
Download and store TWRP 2.2.2 (preferred) in the same directory where adb is located. Recommend renaming recovery file to recovery.img
Enable usb debugging on device by going to settings > about > and click on MIUI version repeatedly until developer settings are enabled. Go back and select additional settings to enable usb debugging.
Run the command: adb devices - to verify if able to connect to device (the serial number of your device will populate if so.
Run the command: adb reboot bootloader and phone device should say "Fastboot" in blue font
Run the command: fastboot boot recovery.img
Recovery will show in Chinese, click on the bottom right button to select English
May require to enter your default password you use to unlock your phone normally.
Click backup and be sure to backup system, boot, and recovery most of all so it's easy to recover your device moving forward.
Download and save SuperSU (I have been unsuccessful in getting Magisk to work at this time) onto storage device from PC to MI 8 that should appear with your Internal storage
Click on "Mount" in TWRP and unselect read-only
Click "Install" and flash SuperSU then reboot (my device rebooted one time and fully boot up the 2nd time so you're not alarmed)

Appreciate any feedback, ideas, thoughts, or suggestions where all can collaborate and expand where we help each other further. Look forward to the future development of the MI 8 folks! Please note, I wanted to share the method that seemed to work best for me, but please be aware each and every single MI 8 device is not always exactly the same and the end result may vary and I'm not held accountable or responsible should you choose to follow the directions listed above. However, I wanted to share this information to help avoid any frustration going forward and save you time.
p.s. - If someone could help me figure out how to get twrp recovery to hold and not end up being replaced by mi recovery I would be most grateful as this has been an issue for me (I tried flashing, booting, and installing the img through twrp with no success). Thank you.
Hello thanks for your guide but i think we first need to unlock bl And for the twrp recovery to stick and not to be replaced by xiaomi recovery we need to flash something called "dm-verity " it basically removes that check, which replaces any other recovery by xiaomi recovery
Have a nice day and thanks for your work
I thought so as well, unfortunately I just haven't had much luck with dm verity which led to a soft brick on my device. I'll have to look over the code as it may vary in comparison to other xiaomi devices.

My friend i changed to the Xiaomi eu and everything worked. You dont have to flash the Chinese Version first you can go from Global to Xiaomi.eu. Just dont forget to do FORMAT data and not only Wipe Data.

[LR.Team] TWRP for Clover

This is the known working TWRP that supports encryption (no need to wipe data) & also it can root the pad within itself.
The root is achieved with Magisk 17.1, no need to flash any encryption disabler or anything, it simply works!!
I present you: [LR. Team] TWRP

When the unlocking is completed, the sliding may be repeated, and the corresponding action is directly operated).
* Open more partition backup and restore, such as modern baseband partition, bootloader, persist, cust and other partitions, easy to backup the underlying files before flashing, can restore the underlying files after flashing.
* Add .bin and .mbn format image files, so you don't need a zip brush package, you can write the underlying file. The original version only supports the flashing of .img format image files. (Be sure to pay attention to the selected partition!!!!)
* Solve the problem of interface jam when using the simulation operation (the simulation operation is mainly for testing the theme, and no actual operation).
* Add the manual installation root function in Advanced Options > root system. Add a display root system option on this basis for manual operation.
* Added the ability to unenforce encryption, in advanced options > Unforce Encryption. You can remove the official system to force encryption and cancel the check.
* Change the built-in root mode and add magisk as the default root mode.
* Fixed button and button operations for some interfaces.
* The adb/usb debug mode is enabled by default, which is convenient for operating the phone through the computer command line in rec mode.
* MTP is enabled by default. In the rec state, you can also connect your phone to your computer to facilitate file copying.
* Modify the logo interface, modify the header of the main interface page, and add the display phone model and team name, author name.
* Fix some logical relationships and modify some interface displays.
* Added clear root function
* Added clear power-on password function
* Added clear battery information function
* Added signature boot function
* Added restore official rec function

4. UNLOCK THE MI PAD 4
5. Use cmd line: fastboot flash recovery [name of the file]
6. First reboot to recovery: fastboot boot [name of the file]
IF TOUCHSCREEN IS NON-RESPONSIVE ON FIRST RECOVERY BOOT, FORCE REBOOT IT USING [VOL UP + POWER].
After flashing, if you encounter Chinese UI, press Language then select English.

Enjoy!!
Thank you for presenting us. But I'm still waiting for the bootloader to be unlocked. I will try it after my phone's damnable bootloader is open.
But I have something to ask,

Xposed still not working, be it via direct flash or magisk -> BOOTLOOP!!

I don't really get it. Do you mean we can't use this recovery to flash Xposed, if we want it, we must use Magisk to install it. Or do you just mean Mi Pad currently has no way to access Xposed Framework, installing Xposed will cause bootloop regardless of installing methods (direct flash and Magisk)?

You can flash anything just like normal TWRP, but the ROM (I'm talking about MIUI 9 latest stable) isn't compatible with Xposed (zip/magisk)..
No matter what you do (recovery zip / magisk), it'll give you bootloop..
I heard the xiaomi.eu ROM can use xposed but I'm sticking to official stable.

Yes, all you say is correct. The question is the answer.
we understand but what are the adb and fastboot commands. If you do not explain how to install it and you can install any rom or just a Chinese

it's not the same as that? if yes you have to do a single post or more complete with adb and fastboot

Hello!
Question: After flashing TWRP successfully, the tablet does not start TWRP. If i reboot and start Recovery with the button combo, the normal Mi recovery starts. What i have to do?

What are the exact steps for permanently removing encryption? If I format data in TWRP, will I be able to boot back in to the system without having to reflash the rom?
Encryption is really annoying, I'm currently on the mokee rom with this TWRP installed. Any help is welcomed, thanks.

AFAIK just reformat /data, that's all.... no need to reflash ROM....
but you'll have to reinstall your apps....
xposed also needs an unencrypted /data partition, or it'll just bootloop....
Thank you for this. Much appreciated my friend.

Does it work in mi pad 4 ? If the /data will be reformated without encription will the exposed correct work on AICP or others custom rooms for mi pad 4 ?
I have a problem, whenever a load a rom with twrp, there will be no keyboard. thus I were not able to activate the device nor connect to WiFi.

Hi, I've been trying the recovery, but it does not seem to stick ?
The command line returns a successful process, but then I turn off the tablet, and try the buttons combo, but it just boots to the system.
Is there any requirement for the system version ? What could I be missing ?
Thanks for any help

you could try this command after succesful flash: fastboot boot name-of-recovery-file
then try to reboot > reboot to recovery inside the TWRP to see if its sticks...

[Guide] OTA updates on non-stock recovery (TWRP)

If you've flashed a non-stock recovery like TWRP*, you can not use the OTA update feature. You need to flash the full ROM via TWRP.
* TWRP is now officially supported, make sure you flash that version if you're using an older, unofficial TWRP.
1. Obtain the ROM you want to install. Make sure the download is from miui.com if you want stock
Official site -> My phone is the EEA version, so I use the 'Mi 9T EEA' tab. The website does not update links immediately after a ROM update is released, so you may have to do a bit of digging if you want a very recent update.
You can also check ROM links on third party sites like ezbox.idv.tw, again, make sure the actual download links are from miui.com and not somewhere else.
Latest EEA ROM(Android 10) as of 2020-10-24 -
V12.0.3.0.QFJEUXM
Nightly official LineageOS builds
2. Get into TWRP
Either run 'adb reboot recovery'
Or power phone off and boot into TWRP by holding PWR+VOL_UP during boot
3. Upload the ROM to the phone
Code:
adb push ~/Downloads/[B]miui_DAVINCIEEAGlobal_V12.0.3.0.QFJEUXM_12b99693bc_10.0.zip[/B] /sdcard/
4. Flash the ROM via TWRP
5. Flash Magisk if you use it, because flashing the ROM deletes it.
6. Remove the update file:
Code:
adb shell rm /sdcard/[B]miui_DAVINCIEEAGlobal_V12.0.3.0.QFJEUXM_12b99693bc_10.0.zip[/B]
That's it! Reboot your phone into your new ROM!
Also check out my debloat list and my detailed phone settings.
Additional note - formatting /system will brick your phone and you'll have to recover using a fastboot ROM.

If you've flashed a non-stock recovery like TWRP, you can not use the OTA update feature. You need to flash the full ROM via TWRP.
So how to get around this when the updater is telling you there is an incremental update?
Simple, we tell the updater to download the full image instead, move the update from the original folder so MIUI won't attempt to upgrade from it on next reboot, boot into TWRP and flash the image there.
1. Settings -> About Phone -> System update -> three dots -> Download latest package
2. Get filename of the update:
3. You now have the filename of the update. I got miui_DAVINCIEEAGlobal_V10.3.15.0.PFJEUXM_b6738621e2_9.0.zip and will be using this name throughout the rest of this how-to, replace the examples accordingly based on what name you got.
4. (optional) Backup the latest ROM file to your PC:
5. Prevent MIUI from seeing the update file and trying to update from it on accident by moving the file a folder higher:
6. Power phone off
7. Boot into TWRP by holding PWR+VOL_UP during boot
8. Flash the ROM via TWRP
9. Flash Magisk if you use it, flashing the ROM deletes it.
10. Boot back into Android and remove the update file:
That's it!
You can also download the full ROM directly through miui.com, but keep in mind the website does not instantly update the link there after a ROM update is released.
https://en.miui.com/download-361.html#619 -> My phone is the EEA version, so I use the 'Mi 9T EEA' tab.
Page best viewed in Firefox, clicking on the lock icon -> Arrow icon in the security tab -> Disable protection, since Xiaomi can't even set their website up properly.
In my case the ROM download through phone was corrupted and I had to edit the site URL from the filename I got to get a proper update file:

Hey @C0rn3j
I am on stock 10.3.12.0 PFJEUXM and TWRP 4PDA 3.3.1.-2 fix and Magisk.
My questions:
1. Is it worth the upgrade to MIUI 11 as it is still Android 9
2. If I flash it through TWRP, did you loose any dual app settings? (as I lost dual apps while backing up the phone with TWRP and Titanium backup)
3. as you said I have to flash the Magisk again, did you choose the latest or the same as was installed on the phone before the upgrade?
Thanks in advance for reply

1. Security updates.
2. I don't use dual apps so I wouldn't know. AFAIK people had issues with using the backup/restore functionality of TWRP on that version. You should probably update it as I believe latest is -4

If the Magisk have to be flashed again, does it mean all the hide settings which were there before has to be set again or stay there from the old version? I have few apps in Magisk hide root, so just wondering how this will be affected with rom update
A second question:
I am on 10.3.12.0 not upgraded yet to 10.3.15.0.
Can I upgrade straight to V11.0.2.0 or first to 10.3.15.0 and then to V11?

While flashing did you untick Recovery in the TWRP as I believe the whole 2,2GB ZIP has recovery image and could be flashed and overwrite the TWRP?
Your guide not working, twrp failed to install the update "file corrupted".
I've downloaded the OTA package from "http://c.mi.com//miuidownload/detail?device=1700361" and twrp very happy to install this file, my Mi_9T at the latest update 11.
Unfortunately the archive downloaded through the Updater cannot be flashed as is through TWRP (message: file corrupted)
