Bootloop after Nandroid restore - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I made a nandroid backup with trwp as soon as I got it installed, now I wanted to sell the device and wanted to restore the nandroid, had at last the Fulmics Rom installed. I booted into trwp made a factory reset (that maybe was wrong), then I restored the backup, it got to 100% then it rebooted and I was in a bootloop.
When I booted into the recovery trwp was still there and I tried to wipe everything but it was not possible because I got an error that it's not mounted.
After that I tried to run an update throug LG Bridge, but every time it stops after 10% and it says that the device cannot be updated.
And now I cannot go into recovery, it always starts in Download Mode, I tried through LGUP but it doesnt recognize the Model, it says Unknown.
Fastboot is also not responding, just says waiting for any device. It's a European Model that was Vodafone branded.
I'm out of ideas, any thoughts or is it dead?

Try using LG Bridge, there is an option to reboot original recovery and then try LG Up.

Thanks for the reply, I fixed it with with Uppercut!!! I thought it was dead, but uppercut with LGUP worked.
I flashed the KDZ and then it had a system error when it booted up, I booted in recovery then and it erased everything and then it booted up normaly!!

Check out Fastboot located somewhere around here. It can help with erasing user data, system, etc....then use the offline flashing method. Good luck!
I finaly did it...i was able to get my phone in spftware mode using cold-boot and then i used the oficial lg software update mode..and i did recovery..so if anyone has a similar probem and flasing ofline does not work he can try flashe it online using lg software

[Q] Other way to get to fastboot

Hello
Today I've tried to unlock my bootloader of LG Optimus L9 (P760) and install a custom ROM. I managed to unlock the bootloader after a few hours (Windows 8.1 sucks in this and do it on Windows 7 netbook is even more harder) and install the CWM. Then I wanted to install CM11, but the installation failed. I didn't realize that I need special version of CWM for this.
Well, I wanted to enter fastboot again a flash CWM again, but I couldn't boot, because the system was now erased. I couldn't install stock ROM, because phone wouldn't connect, so I grabbed older CM9 and succesfully installed it through CWM.
Problem is, that even from there, I can't flash CWM (flash_image recovery recovery.img in terminal doesn't work - shows error "error scanning partitions failed with error -1" - yet another problem no one can solve). And also, phone won't connect to my PC properly, because there is no LG Software mode in CM. Because of that, I don't see the device in adb and can't reboot it into fastboot. I tried to do it via wi-fi adb, which however only reboots phone and doesn't put it into fastboot mode.
What should I do? I can't install stock ROM, which would help (LG update tool doesn't recognize phone now and any driver I tried for "LGE U2 Device" didn't work... If it was available as a rar installer for CWM, everything would be OK again), I can't reboot it into fastmode, I can't flash CWM in any other way and I'm stuck with CM9, which I hate.
I don't understand why there is no other way, how to get to fastboot. Every other LG Optimus has a key shortcut (vol -, power), except L models and that sucks... I'm completly desperate.

Fastboot on these devices is a pain... Make sure you have installed the fastboot drivers twice.
Try flashing the recovery.img with Flashify (root) app from the play store.

Thank you for your answer I got into fastboot afterall by using app named "Rebooter (fast reboot)". It allows to reboot phone and make it go immidiately to fastboot. So great, now I could rewrite the CWM and install ROM.
Unfortunately other problems appeared. I'm using the right version of CWM for installing KitKat Android ROMs (and I've tried others), but I'm still unsuccesful in booting them. Instalation goes OK (ROM + gapps), but booting then is pain in the ***. I can wipe dalvik, cache, system... and return the phone to factory settings through CWM as I want, but every ROM gets stuck everytime on the boot.
At first, it takes at least 15 minutes, until LG logo disappears and the animation of booting starts. I left all ROMs to boot for an hour. But it seems I'm without a chance. Did anybode have the same problem as me?
BTW: This is my 6th smartphone into which I installed alternative ROM. I swear, that this is the hardest piece of crap for installing those, I have ever seen
Edit: I tried other kernels, also without success. It's strange, that I can install only CM9 and PACman ROMs. CM11, Miui, Mokee - no chance

Hmm... That is strange. Are you getting any errors like "status 7 error" when you try to install any of the ROMs?

Nope. That was back when I had bad CWM installed. This one is however OK and install goes absolutely right. Right now I'm pretty sure, that problem isn't in kernel, cause I tried every I could find...

If I remember correctly I think the cwm for cm11 has a bug that doesn't wipe dalviks. So flash ROM with the cwm for cm11 then restore the other recovery to wipe data. Or use something like rm -rf /data/* through terminal adb and reboot.
Make sure you mount the data partition first if you use adb and terminal.

[SOLVED]Phone only boots into TWRP recovery. Can't get into bootloader or system!

Hi everyone. First time posting on the forums and unfortunately it's because of a major problem . So here's my situation:
A couple days ago I decided i would try to update my phone to 5.0 because the update was pushed OTA for the ls990. It supposedly installed with no error, but when it went to reboot it took me straight into my custom recovery. Now when i try to restore from backup, flash a new rom, or wipe the system it will say it was successful, but nothing will change and each time i reboot it takes me right back into recovery. I've tried booting into system or bootloader, but both of those options take me right back into recovery. If i pull the battery and wait then repower the phone it takes me right back into recovery. I need some help here because my phone is practically bricked, yet i still have access to ONLY recovery mode. During each reboot the LG logo does flash on the screen (not sure if that info is useful though). Here's what i'm running:
Specs:
Rooted and Bumped Sprint LG G3 (ls990)
Stock ROM
TWRP Recovery
Maybe this happened because it was a stock update and i didn't have stock android recovery for it to complete the upgrade? My /boot folder appears to be empty in TWRP, but im not sure if that's just because its not even mounting it or if im actually missing a kernel, bootloader, or something else. ANY help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Your gonna have to restore using this guide. It did happen because you were on custom recovery, anytime you want stock upgrade, you must unroot it and put stock recovery back on 1st. It's not bricked if it comes on, only softbricked, which can be fixed with download mode. That guide is well written.

also it was not the android 5.0 update..
Try this first before using the LG Flash tool

It should hopefully save you from wiping the phone completely.
Thanks

I reverted to stock firmware using the instructions on that thread and now everything is working! Thank you very much.
Now the only problem is that it seems the new sprint update patched the stump root exploit. Guess ill have to do the firmware flash again lol.

I think you need zv4 firmware to avoid this problem.

Return to stock recovery after TWRP

So i recently rooted my device and installed TWRP to flash some files, but today i went to take the OTA (big mistake, i know) and i just get in a TWRP loop, i go to reboot the system and it brings me right back to TWRP. I tried to nandroid restore but apparently my backup was interrupted or something because i get the same thing after trying to restore. At the moment i am trying to install a custom rom and see if i can get my stock recovery back, any suggestions on how to do so once the rom is finished installing? I tried to use lg flash tool earlier to re-downgrade, but it wont pick it up in TWRP, and thats what it brings me to when i do the button combo with the usb cable thing.
HELP me lol

My L7 II is stuck on emergency mode!

Hello,
I'm having the biggest problem I've ever faced with a device. I rooted it, installed CWM and installed CM. I wanted to install another rom, so I deleted everything. I went to install it but the phone had shut down. I turned it on but it ended up going in a bootloop. I tried to install a KDZ but without any luck. It is now stuck on emergency mode. ADB won't recognize it. Is there anything I can do?

Hello, please be more specific. What rom did you install, what files did you delete(wipes). What error is it giving, what kdz you tried.
I RECOMMEND you to re-download kdz because I once downloaded V10J KDZ from lg-phone-firmware.com but it was corrupted, so I downloaded one from a thread by maxx_hr(V20B) and it flashed without any errors.
