I'm having problems during downloading large files on browsers like chrome or uc
while downloading, when the screen turns off, after about 10-15 mins the download doesn't continue. when I unlock the phone, download continues. its like phone is going to deep sleep. even if the wifi is on during sleep, the speed drops after the screen turns off. as soon as the screen is on, wifi speeds up again.
I've been using custom roms for many months. don't remember this happened in marshmallow.
I tried nos, rr both have same issues
I am having a similar issue with Nitrogen OS. However, after having the screen on for a while my downloads don't resume. They stay at 0mb/s.
I got that sometimes, try using a manager, like adm. (If you don't wanna try others roms, i don't get that on aospextended yet)
Use ADM

+1 for using ADM or the Pro Version!
I use that on my Nexus 9 recently to download W10CU iso (over 4GB), directly to exFAT usb stick to avoid limitations of file storage!

I discovered this issue not matter which rom I flash (CM7, CM9, Motoblur, etc.) : my wifi never goes to sleep even though I set the sleep policy correctly in the settings...
Any idea what to do ?
Up ?
Any clue on why this is happening. I had a massive error this morning (phone wouldn't boot) and I had to revert to full stock and the bug is still there...
have you tried reflashing system with RSD? or airplane mode?
I just flashed through RSD and the Wifi is always on. And I don't want to go in Airplane mode...I still need my phone for phone calls, you know...
just try to turn on Airplane Mode. If wifi will be turned on then you have hardware problem, and you have send your phone to service
Airplane mode actually shuts the wifi, as it should...
Wifi shuts off around 5 minutes after screen is shut off IF there is not data being transfered. Maybe you have a rogue app that keeps your connection busy? Hmmm

Not off the top of my head, but try disabling auto sync and background data and see if the problem goes away. Hope this works for you.

Try flashing this. It's for ICS based roms, but it sets permissions on 3 files that cause your phone to not fully go to sleep

Do these files install in the correct location? I was reading a discussion not long ago where some thought /system/bin and some thought /system/xbin. There was also a mention of setting permissions.
Edit:
I just remembered that I also downloaded a file from your Goo Atrix page. It is a different file size from the link you posted in the message I am replying to.

I looked at the script and a recent flash of jokersax v070, the permissions are already set to root:shell 744 (rwxr-xr-x) on the directory and files, so no need to flash on that rom in my opinion

Happens with CM9 here, but only at my work. At my home wifi sleep works.
I'm testing the solution given here:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=23211
Wifi entered sleep normally after the change. I will test more.
I can also confirm that the phone will deep sleep and that WIFI will sleep with this patch on Jokersax' CM9 0.7.0.0. Without the patch neither of those things worked.

If you look at the scripts you'll see that jokersax 070 already performs the steps contained in this script and on a phone without this applied the files do correctly reflect the permissions per this script. I can see that you are battling with this issue, as many are, but considering the two scripts are identical, it makes no senses to make this claim. I do believe you regarding the symptoms. And I am unable to offer an explanation regarding the apparent change on your phone.

You could try this kernel, 5-08 build should fix it. In change log bsod=black screen of death.
Thank you, downloaded and installed will let you know how it works out.

Had the same problem- had to switch ROM. Now I'm using RootBox, it fixed a few of my problems.

The same thing happens to me but whats weirder is that it only happens when i go to the gym! It never happens anywhere else but there and it takes a long time to turn the phone back on. I've gotten to the point where i have to shut it off while I'm at the gym before it shuts itself off. So i cant really use it there anymore. Its really annoying. I also get a blue-screen but it doesn't happen as much as it use to.
AT&T OPTIMUS G - SLICKROM 4.1.2 - SMART LAUNCHER
My phone get SoD too. I'm using android v4.4 with cook ROM. Have any solutions for that?
Oh from time to time my phone also gets a blue screen. Mostly when its being charged but it has the same effect as the SoD
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
I had sleep of death issues on the stock 4.1.2 ROM. I think usb debugging or something in developer options was causing it. Now I don't have sleep of death issues anymore. I have developer options and usb debugging disabled. I also checked disable wifi on sleep. Some posts said it was a wifi issue, others said that it an app compatibility issue. I'm not sure what causes it. I'm just happy that I no longer have issues.
Had the same issue. Switched to pa 3.99 RC 2.
I have the same issue on my phone, it happens over every single rom I have used, and I have tested just about all of them, (Pandroid, Carbon, Liquidsmooth, rootbox, beanstalk.. just to name a few) The only rom that did not SOD was the stock rom, but I have no idea why. My theory is something happens after the first week of use that is clogging up the phone in the system somewhere, because I never get a SOD until after a bit of use. I will be looking more into it after exams this week, and I will keep you guys posted in what I find.
I've this strange problem, it only happens when i screen off my i9300 and let it in sleep mode, the phone will restart itself. I've tried both CM10.1 and Stock rom, but gave the same problem. I was able to minimize the auto-reboot-in-sleep-mode by writing an app to prevent the phone going into deep sleep by locking in the wakelock and send four threads to occupy the quad core cpu. Using this app drains battery, it did solve my problem somehow, i still get auto-reboot but the frequency was minimized by 90%.
Any idea of what causing this?

Hi, Has anyone tried this solution ?
Did it worked ?
everyone who're fedup with Oxygen OS can try this new rom BlissMallow rom formerly known as Blisspop
works smooth & fine, you can use it as a daily driver
as usual LAF & FP not working as of now.

Just flashed it yesterday, so far so good !
flashed it yesterday too, found it a little too buggy.. facebook app FC's, drop down menu FC's, gps was off, and alert slider doesn't work along with LAF & FP. Took crappy pic's. I'll stick with OOS with xposed modules for now. We aren't to far off from official 6.0 for OPT

The rom is pretty stable, not a lot fc's for me and non at all at the dropdown menu.
Gps is worknig, camra is working and there is no diffrance in the pics from oos.
It's a good rom, and cloud be a daily use, even it's a bata.
I have two major issues with the latest rom :
1. rotation sensor not working.
2. proximity sensor not working.
clean flash 3 times , tried downloading the file two times to rule out bad download
also flashed it with/without Google apps , nothing helps so far
is anyone else facing those issues here or can someone please point me towards a solution?
thank you

Flash Blissmallow and any gapps ( I use slim gapps) and then wipe dalvik and cache

giving it a try right now
edit: not working .
tried it twice and still no go, very weird
when trying any other cm13 based rom sensors works great, I think it has something to do with mahdi's device tree.
Just tried this today. So far:
1) Sometimes FC in settings when switching which SIM card to use for data
2) Waking up device by power button wakes the screen, but it's black and I can't input the PIN to unlock the device. Basically I have to force reset it. This happens every now and then.
3) Priority toggle: If you toggle too quick, the phone doesn't understand and misses it. I.e. you might be in "do not disturb" mode, but the phone didn't catch on so it thinks you're in "priority only", letting things through.
4) Camera seems to work OK, autofocus not an issue so far
5) No idea about battery life
6) Obviously no finger print scanner
I'm going to test it as a daily from now on, let's see how this goes. (coming from OxygenOS)

I cant find a modem thread for the a2003 op2, some say they modem maybe wrong.
Two posts above there is a solution that works, you need to wipe persist and flash the one in the link above
Just follow the instructions and youre all set
Good luck

Hi All
Like this rom. This is the ONLY rom that has been stable enough to tempt me away from oos.
I did a clean flash for the initial install, then dirty flash with the updates. Current Running the 20160224-1305 build
Very few issues. Good enough for my daily driver. The only bugs I've found so far..
Lock Screen Notifications. Double Tap to launch doesn't work. Screen just shuts off again.
Bluetooth Pulldown. Pressing the "x" next to a connected device should disconnect. But actually does nothing.
Battery life seems a little poorer
TouchScreen sensitivity issues. Occasionally touchscreen goes a bit nuts and it becomes difficult to type with unintended keys being hit, and becomes difficult to access pulldown menu. Have to reboot to solve.
Minor Wifi issues. I'm getting disconnection issues when I connect to specific public wifi points which didn't occur under oos.
I had an issue with SnapChat being unable to access the camera but I solved this. If you restore from titaniumbackup the camera connect error occurs. If you then wipe cache/data for the SnapChat app and log back in it works fine.

1. You have to 'disable double tap screen on lock screen to lock to sleep' on the settings/bliss settings/lock screen.
Cant help with the other issues though!

I have never observed it, everything works like lightning from the beginning, zero interface lags. I recommend you do a wipe cache partition, it will not reset your data and it will definitely help.

Same here, using stock launcher. Doesn't happen often, however the stalls last approx 20 to 30 sec or so, for me mostly while browsing the internet by chrome ..
