Hey, guys! I managed to get this smartwatch for really cheap and I want to ask you something... I have the G Watch with a Lg G Flex 2... Oldie but goodie, right? Now... Once I started the watch, I realized that I have 2 music apps, one from Lg and Play Music... Can I erase one of them? And another thing... Why should I root my watch? What benefits does it bring? I am relatively new to this forum but you guys are amazing and I hope you can help me.
P.S.- Another stupid question... Can you redirect me to a good rom that doesn't change the android wear user experience... Stock-like... Thanks a lot!
Hey! I'm pretty sure you can uninstall them if you have the package name from ADB. Currently there are no custom ROMs yet, but I would flash Invisibleks kernel, and right now rooting has no benefits aside from you being able to say "I even rooted my watch!"
Awesome! Thanks, man...

Sorry guys for posting this, but I need some questions answered and there are a lot of answers. I just purchased a g tab from tigerdirect and it will be here soon. I wanted to know if I should update first or leave it as shipped before I install a rom.
I'm wanting to try out the new Gingerbread release from TJ, but Not sure of which ClockworkMod I should install. Also Is G Harmony Gingerbread the way to start, for a beginner?
Thanks again, I really appreciate all the help
I was going to follow these instructions but wasn't sure if this was the best course of action.
well since I'm new I can post it, but if you search, Gingerbread G Tablet and addictivetips, you can find it.
P.S. I'm going to video tape this, so I will post after I'm done.
Also....
Which ROM should I install? Which, in your opinion, is the most stable of all?
I guess my question is, should I install Cyanogen, TnT Lite, or GingerBread? And which version?
I don't think there is a 'right' answer, each rom has something good about it.
I'd start with TnTLite as it is the best supported and fixes a lot of issues that the stock rom comes with.
Go from there, if you're happy with TnT then use it for a while.
Start small I say, get some confidence then move to the more involved roms.
Thanks!
I really appreciate your fast response. I'm hoping that all will go well. Thanks again!

good luck. just take it slow and think about what you're doing. the device is pretty hard to totally brick so if you think you're stuck do some searching/reading/research.
Hi everyone,
I just buy a Atrix, but i am little disappointed.
This damn Moto Blur avoid me to change simple thing like just sync some groups of my gmail, not all contacts.
My question is:
Is it possible to root this device, and install a new and "pure" version of Android 2.2.2 (or 2.3.3)?
If yes, what is the good and the bad points?
What can i miss?
I really want to make my device free of this damn
Not unless you're sitting on a way to unlock the bootloader that none of us know about. Otherwise the answer is the same as every other thread that asks this question... Without an unlocked bootloader we can't flash full roms
Also might have helped to search and/or read before posting. Answers to all your questions are in the forums multiple times!
Hello there,
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very happy 2012.
I am an phone geek and I have an LG Optimus One, neither modded nor even updated once (curses to the blasted firmware update drivers). In this community of phone users, I feel like chicken- I am scared at the very thought of toying with the OS and hardware, even though I have no fear of OEM updates. And being on a tight budget I can't afford to damage my phone due to a modding goof-up.
My question is: HOW DO YOU INCREASE THE PERFORMANCE OF AN LG OPTIMUS ONE P500(AKA THE V, PHOENIX) WITHOUT ANY MODDING?
If there is any app that safely does the task, tell me please. I use TasKiller and the memory optimizer inside NetQin antivirus.
Help me!!!!

This is what I don't want from any of you as a reply:
"Use a kernel, man."
"Why don't you root your phone?"
"Use a custom OS like CyanogenMod!"
"You should overclock your phone, it's very easy..."
and the dumbest of all replies:
"You should sell your phone and buy something like a Galaxy or Wildfire...."
or "I know a guy, he's an expert, dude, you should give your phone to him to mod..."
I won't give my phone to ANYBODY, YOU HEAR? ANYBODY!unless he's an authorized LG service engineer or so.
Waiting for a reply ASAP.
Then ask Santa Claus......

In that case it will take you some time to realize that you are the dumb one, not us.
hhhhhhhhhhhh he is like...
I know all the answers but i cant and i still want the best xD
Long explanation in short: You can't.
Yeah it's weird that you want to improve your phone while shooting down the very solutions to your problems. I know the feeling though of being scared to screw up your phone.
I screwed mine up in like three days after trying to install custom recovery. I don't know what went wrong. It was rooted just fine but this was during those times without Clockwork Recovery support and amonra needed a PC to be installed (didn't know about Terminal emulator until after). Brought the phone to LG since it was still under warranty. They fixed it a week after.
Then I went back to trying and read more and asked more questions about the stuff I was doing to my phone. The developing support for this phone is awesome. You really shouldnt be afraid anymore.
And yeah there really isnt a lot you can do to improve your phone's performance without a custom rom + a new kernel + overclocking... all of which you don't like to do
Read, read, read, read, than read some more... Hope to God you have a warranty on your phone...

Sorry, but if you want better performance without messing with the software at the very least, you need to buy a better phone.
As long as you read instructions carefully you will be fine. Most of us O1 users were first time rooters, but we pulled through. There is no app that give give you the power of a galaxy s II.

O1 is already a good performer. If you don't want to take rist, just stop visiting XDA! You'll certainly be a more satisified person, believe me!

Of course know that the Optimus can't become a Galaxy S II, but still there must be some trick that can boost the power of the phone. I finally fixed the drivers and now it's running LG's 2.3.3 Gingerbread, and there has been a huge increase. I know I am a bit shameless and crazy, but still if you know anything that could make my day, I will be happy to hear.

Use a launcher from android market instead of the LG one. It will make your homescreen and app drawer FEEL smoother without actually changing anything. I recommend Launcher Pro.
Beside that....nope, there's nothing much else you can really do. Honestly rooting, flashing roms etc is very easy and risk free if you're good at following instructions.
Hi guys,
I have been looking at a few threads over the 80XS and cannot find an easy way of rooting the device.
To be honest im not a wizz kid at programming or anything of the sort, that's why im looking for an easy plugin & root file/page/system.
I don't want to throw it away but, the lags are doing my head in!! i have to factory reset every week to clean it so it can work without lagging.
Anyway.. Thank you in advance to any of you who answer & help.
Best regards,
Hello everyone.
I was recommended to check these forums so I decided to create an account.
I have had my LG V10 for almost three weeks now and I love it. I have the T-Mobile version. I came from iPhone and I always had my phone jailbroken. I wish to root my LG V10 for more freedom and to get rid of those pesky ads.
Can someone link me to a guide that will assist me in rooting my T-Mobile LG V10? I haven't been able to find anything anywhere else. Also, I would love to know what can I do or what are the things that people recommend to do after the phone is rooted.
Again, it is my first time on Android so help me out, please.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Mrs Ana.

Thanks for that.
I apologize for being new. I clearly do not understand what is being said there lol. I know what rooting is but I don't know how to follow the directions and in what order.
Can you please tell me what I have to do first? If there is a step-by-step guide, that would be awesome. I am trying to root my T-Mobile LG V10.
Thanks and again, sorry. I just do not want to mess it up.
I think you're going to have to do some googling and reading about adb first if you aren't already familiar with it.
I'm no expert. Still running stock here and havent rooted a phone since my original HTC g1 and HTC g2.
Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10
Not sure if you have seen it yet but at the bottom of the LG-V10 posts there is a T-Mobile LG-V10 link you might look in there that may help you out also good luck and keep asking questions no question is to dumb.
