We need custom ROMs bro. And thanks for coming back. We/I missed u alot.

Glad we have you back after such a long time..
And yes we need Roms instead of kernels.

kernel is more utility intead rom

Hi,
There are many unofficial ROMs around. It would be good to have a maintainer for an official ROM.

DU 10.6 is one of the best ROMs I have ever used. It is great to see you back. Now we are in need of a new kernel developer. It would be great if you make a new kernel

Yes need DT2W kernel

we need kernel....???

I am using moto e 2014 running on cm14.1 (lineage OS). I need a kernel for it which supports overclocking. Please make a kernel for it. It is running on android 7.1.2.
Thank You

It would be nice to have a kernel with light tweaks and DT2W, because too many "tweaks" makes the kernel some unstable like clarity kernel.
About roms, it would be nice to have DU
Sorry for my english and any misunderstood

Kernel with DT2W

AOSIP ROM please bro :laugh::good:

Possibility of a new version of the kernel? 3.10 or maybe even the latest 3.18?

is this version, also running with paranoid android (my version is paranoid android 4.6 beta 5, so the newest) ?
Would assume it works with the Omnirom Boeffla Kernel.

ALL: Google is again playing games and locked down the first of my 3 donation apps in Playstore. Of course no compelling reason provided.
But as I already prepared for that half a year ago, I would like to remind you to use your personal unlock key to gain donation functionalities.
If you have not yet generated (this can be done in the donation app itself) and entered it into Boeffla-Config, it is now urgent to do that!!!
I cannot ensure Google will not lock down the other two donation apps as well soon, so you should be prepared now.
From my side, next Boeffla-Config app version will not support these donation apps anymore but only personal unlock codes.
Also, I will replace remaining donation apps in Playstore very soon (today or tomorrow) with a dummy app that tell users to get in touch with me manually.
Thanks for understanding... and alohas Google, all done wrong, guys there.
Cheers

Is it compatible?
I'm looking for a custom kernel for battery and performance. My battery drains so fast, I'm using CM11. Is this compatible?
Model Number: GT-I9300
Android Version: 4.4.4
Kernel version: 3.0.64-CM-g4ca83ff [email protected] #1
Please suggest the settings too. Thanks!
Boeffla kernel 2.4 is rock solid and the config app that goes with it is excellent
My battery was lasting about
half a day to a day if lucky
Best thing I done was get a new battery. I went with Zero Lemon 2300mah. Its the same physical size as stock battery but I get 2 days easy on cm11
So I would spend a few dollars on a battery.
Your work is amazing Lord Boeffla. This is the best kernel. It has everything. And we don't need any more features. Cm12 is almost here. Hoping you could start with the Lollipop kernel. already there are Lollipop daily drivers for the I9300. Missing your kernel.

Thanks!
However, I will not start my work based on some inofficial sources. This could be, in worst case, a waste of time in the end.
Once the first official nightly for cm12 arrives, I will jump on the train and try to include all features of the cm11 kernel again.
So, stay tuned!

Cool! Thank you so muchh for your support!
Your KERNEL is "THE KERNEL" for the i9300.
As the tagline for the S3 goes "Designed for humans"
Boeffla kernel is designed for the i9300.
blank boo
I have the same problem. I have resurrection remix lollipop 5.2.5 and when I install the boeffla kernel It doesn't boot , it shows the samsung logo but never proceed to the RR boot animation.
I tried both versions of the kernel NG and Only Cm12.
I tried clearing dalvik and cache after / before installing the kernel and even with installing the ROM. And nothing helps.

Simple: try NG Beta1 until RR-update.
Boeffla Config V2 LMK settings
Hi Andi/all,
In the Kernel config. app, are LMK values displayed as 4 times of values actually written to minfree parm file? Because I have observed that when I set, say 150MB for an app category and check minfree parm, it gets stored as 37.5MB equivalent KBs.
Just wanted to confirm, if it is as expected or a bug
Many thanks,
Mandar
Update: in minfree parm, values are stored as number of 4K pages.
Correct, the minfree parameter works with 4k pages.
Andi
yay, thanks!
You are doing fantastic work
I am having graphics glitches while using this kernel with cm12 BETA 5 and Temasek's cm12 v4.5 ! Anyone has any idea how to fix this ?! Thank you
Yes, there is no real solution. Cm12 is brand new, not even in nightly status. Expect bugs for now.

Hello everyone
First of all, thank you for your awesome Kernel Lord Boeffla!
Second, I've updated to the latest SlimLP Alpha (01102015) and I've tried both latest CM12NG and OmniNG Kernels without success, my i9300 doesn't boot up after flashing the Kernel...I know you guys hate this, but could anyone who's using this build AND Lord Boeffla's Kernel let me know which version works on your device? It would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you very much again Lord Boeffla, and thank you guys for any assistance and your time.

For Android 4.4, Slim required a different kernel than a CM kernel, it required an Omnirom one.
I do not know, but might be the same for SlimLP probably.
Then the sad news is - have no Omnirom LP based equivalent at the moment, and also not planned in near future.

Android Lollipop 5.0 ROM on Low and Mid End Devices

I have an idea. My idea is a Custom ROM for Mid end and Low end devices based on Android Lollipop 5.0 but I cannot Port Roms. I Need You. I Need People who can Port Roms.
First I think that the Rom Must have very many stable Performance tweaks because the Rom should be Runs speedy like a SlimRom.
The kernel are a normal custom Kernel with dualboot options. I am still working on a Kernel what Runs with no lags, no bugs and it Runs very speedy and who can works on unlimited systems (dualboot,quadboot,...).
I have Not many ideas, please give me ideas who can idealized.
We can be a large and a good Team :highfive: .
Sorry for my Bad english.
Thanks from Germany
P.S Android Lollipop have Google Not bring it out but When it bring it out then We can porting the rom. We Need many ideas. Please share that on all people who can porting Roms or have many ideas

How to Install Boeffla Kernel 5.0 alpha8 in CM 13 by Grarak OnePlus 2

Lord Boeffla is the Gun of OnePlus phones. Many people know him from OnePlus One and yes me too. He is popular because of his powerful Boeffla Kernel which gives a lot of added tweaks in Kernel Management with Stunning battery life. Also, we can see a significant improvement in Benchmark if we integrate Boeffla Kernel with our Android system. When I purchased OnePlus 2, it was Oxygen OS 2.1.2 out of the Box which was quite buggy with horrible battery life. So, I decided to change the Kernel and Boeffla Kernel was my only trusted option.
He released his Kernel for CM 13 Grarak Build. Read below to see some of the Notice from Lord Boeffla and easy installation Instruction for this Kernel.
Temporary ALPHA notice From Lord Boeffla :
This is currently an ALPHA kernel, this means Lord Boeffla do not officially support it.
Use on own risk. If you report issues, they might get fixed, or not.
As long as CM for the OP2 is not official, Lord Boeffla will not put lot's of time into looking issues.
The kernel is only tested against Grarak's unofficial CM13 builds you can find here (if you do not use this, expect everything):
Mod edit: links removed.
Hope These Guide help you Don't Forget to Hit Thanks Button if you like this !
Dont wanna be rude but knowing how to flash a kernel zip is common sense.
And wrong section it should be under general (tbh why would anyone need this).

Help needed for Custom Tool chain Troubleshooting !!!

Hi Dear Community,
I'm just a Noob but learning, Pardon me if the question is silly.
I'm trying to Build ROM using UBER toolchain/Hyper Toolchain.
What will be the possible issues on your opinions?
Suppose if I could use CAF sources & Uber toolchain to Build Resurrection Remix Rom,
Is it possible? If yes, what might be the possible issues ?
I'm just curious about how the Experienced devs here think of the topic.
@yuweng , @crpalmer , @BadDaemon , @gopinaidu77 , @jsbeyond
& Also I apologize for tagging if disturbed.
Cheers!
Doesn't wanna sound rude, just GTS  but first, learn how to build the ROMs first, toolchains are advance stuff, AFAIK as of now, non works on N, not to mentioned a totally different build system like Soong, Blueprint, Ninja, Kati and Go on N...

There are toolchains for kernels, ROMs & latest addition is LLVM/ Clang, below are some custom ROMs with built-in custom Toolchains...
Cardinal-AOSP, you'll need flags like this & this, latest version is not always the best, if it doesn't boot or boots but with alot of FCs then switch to another one...
Tipsy, an Eg. here, Validus, another Eg. here & after you have successfully building it then you can move on to add-in custom toolchains to any custom ROMs, here are few worth reading... :good:
Good Luck...

Onyx ROM : AOKP vs LineageOS

Hi,
As OnePlus is not updating anymore Onyx since last november I'm considering installing a custom rom.
For now my choices are on AOKP and Lineage OS.
I want something light but secure.
I don't need billions of features.
Does anyone has experienced both roms on Onyx and could give some feedbacks ?
Thanks a lot !
Regards,
Lineage is simply no go.
I think GZR are most stable ones.
There is a minimal feature build of jdc available on afh you can try that, imo it is the best nougat based rom for onyx at the moment(may change once pa hits the market).
Try Tesla from the thread here if you are looking fir stable 7.1.2 ROM

I will have a look at GZR.
I never heard about it before.
What's wrong about LineageOS ?
Big Update The King SultanXda Might support onyx.
So whenever his N based rom is out it will be the most stable and complete rom for onyx(he is the best dev out there).
I use XenonHD: fast and stable, ok for daily use, no bugs, tristate ok, updated near monthly. About 4h of SOT.
I red that there's network issues with most of N roms for Onyx.
Is it true and anyone has experienced it with GZR?
Sultan is great but...

I'd rather get Tutorials from Sultan than wait for him to develop OPX ROM - I appreciate he is just trying to survive like everyone else.
He's great but I have to be able to understand & do for myself. I can't afford ISP but would pay SultanXda to put out Tutorial Videos using OnePlus X as an example device, so I could learn from him.
Can't wait for anyone, its too dependent better to learn for myself & teach others so they can be independent too.
I went back to OOS 3.1.4 there are too many apps I don't use on it but I like OOS Style just wish I could remove unwanted google apps get security updates on it at least
