Hi everybody. I've read many articles in the web about this 2 functions trying to understand if they help or not increasing battery life.
I found some saying that they help battery life and some saying it decrease battery.
What is the truth? They help or not battery life? Or, is there a particular combination that can help battery life?

Now I don't remember where. I usually Google what I need to find and then I read forums like XDA. Forums dedicated to technology, and I usually trust posts created by high rate users.
But I found both versions (more often the one that says they drain battery) but I couldn't find here in XDA, and that's why I asked.

Two big rom threads choose what you want and try is the only answer to this question that would be worth a search on XDA >> Best Rom but the topic gets locked thankfully .

I suspect there might be an app that is causing wakelocks, draining battery unnecessarilly, try using betterbatterystats to find out which application is the culprit.
I used cpuspy and just uninstalled applications one at a time.

The ugliest, least functional one you can find. Whichever one makes you stop using your phone.
The most recommended one is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881

You're welcome, enjoy the infraction for your unique thread (reported).
Nobody can recommend a ROM/kernel to help with battery problems because everybody uses their phone differently, the only way is to try them until you find one you like.

Hey guys.
I am looking for the kernel that gives the best battery life.
I have tried always used Syah, but it does not give good battery life.

Do NOT post threads asking which the best ROM or kernel is
So in conclusion, before the lock..............see yah! (See what I did there!)

Alright then.
But, in my defence, I did ask wich is the best for battery life, not in general

Dude, you can't basically ask a "what is the best xxxx for yyyy" sorry though, you gotta try it out yourself since they vary with personal preferences

y do u calibrate battery! it act makes no difference! U can search " Battery Calibration Debunked " on google and read the post!
how?
exactly how are you planning to recalibrate the battery?
Give it a full charge then wipe battery stats in CWM. It's in there somewhere.
I know it's myth busted, but I still swear by it. I used to experience huge battery drops which does not make sense. For example, it will be 50% after 5 hours, then within an hour, it massively drops from 50% to 5% before dying.
I have also experienced the phone dying even though it said "30%" half an hour ago. Wiping battery stats seem to work, not to prolong the battery life, but at least let me know accurately how much I have left.
you should recalibrate battery if your are experiencing battery issues.
