So i i rooted my phone, installed foldermount. When i opened it it said sth like "your storage has some problems, foldermount will not work properly, want to fix it?" i clicked yes. Then i rebooted my phone. After that cant access any storage(both ext and internal). Cant even open gallery or even open camera. OS 4.4.4 kitkat

I haven't taken notice to any others having this problem, but I may have simply missed it. When I use AOKP or CM9, I can't find certain files on either the built-in storage or in the sd card that I put in it today (I don't know if I have to do anything special to it or not -- do I have to format it?). I have some backups of apps and a few other things, but I can't browse the folders on my sd card because, for some reason, they're simply not listed. Regardless of file browser, I can't see certain files and folders.
Has anyone else had this problem and/or does anyone know what might be causing it? The files aren't hidden and I can see them just fine when I restore my rooted/stock 2.3.4 backup.
There are a couple possibilities why you can't see things. One is that your ext SD card may be now called EMMC. Two, and most likely, you have to give FE root priviledges in preferences.
Remember that any folder with a . (Period) in front of the folder name will be considered hidden. Some apps hide the folders they create automatically and as previously stated above if the file explorer yer using doesn't have root it may not be able to see them.

So how to show the hidden folders that have a period in front of them ? remove the period and the app will show itself ?
Am new to all this so please bare with me.
am trying to gain access to my phones root folders,Apps,Apks....and to make my phone read my external SD card.
my previous ROM was ICS 4.0.2. then i Rooted it..i used Method 2 + Method 2 Advanced---thanks to Jiangyi
Reference : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1679778
Then i flashed aokp_i9100g_jb_milestone-1 and then gapps-jb-20121011-signed for jellybean 4.1.x
The AOKP_Milestone works fine but my problem is that am not able to see my file manager on my device.i can see them on the computer only when i hook the device (i9100G) to the Computer and some of the folders do have periods in front of them,i did fix permissions from CWM recovery, but still nothing.
before flashing the Custom ROM i did not do any backup or restore, i had some applications on the device and some on the External SD card.
am aware of my mistake which probably was the sol issue of problem
when i try to go to Google play through the device it simply does not connect to it,"thats a problem that i had even on ICS"i was able to go to Google play from my computer and install an application from there ,but now when i try to install an app like the AppBack or any app for example
it says that the app has installed into my device but am not able to find it anywhere neither in the device or the root folders of the device through my (computer) only. because am not able to see any of my files through the device.
the Google_Library,music,files,diary,videos apps just doesn't exist. i see them all piled up in one widget in a faded color but they are simply not accessible.
and my mini external sd card can be seen by the device from the storage section in settings only but it says "Mount SD card
Insert an SD card for mounting"
when i click on it nothing happens.
i have not formatted my external SD card after flashing aokp rom. am not able to from the phone nor from the computer and i dont know what to press in CWM recovery in Advanced section so many options there don't know which one to do and which one to leave alone.
so what is my problem, what is the solution for this?
thank you

This forum is for the i777. You don't have this phone model. Please ask in your own forum. All u need to gain access to system files is a file manager that allows root access. For hidden files, I just use a file manager that has an option to show them.
Hey guys, I've installed several custom roms like sokp, cm, ls and so on via bmm. Once it boots up i can read the internal sdcard but cant operate on it. When i run tbk, it says that media is not mounted and the default folder in the int sdcard cant be accessed. When i try to take a screenshot, it says it was unable to capture and the storage might be in use. When i try to use the camera, it asks me to insert an sdcard. Basically i cant do anything that involves the internal storage but i have full and perfect access to the ext sdcard
When i try to open the int sdcard with a normal cm explorer it says i can only with root access mode. Idk if this helps but idk how to solve this problem
But on the stock 4.0.4 rom it all works perfectly
Could someone plz post the recovery.ftsb file in system/etc/bmm if anyone is still using bmm??? Thanks
After rooting my Z2 tablet, and installing SuperSU, and editing Platform.XML to allow writing to the SD card, I attempted to install a few apps to move apps to the SD card. Although all were given super user privileges, none of them worked.
"All-In App2SD" gave me an error. "DS Super App2SD Lite" gave me a list to select from and it gave me an error telling me to make sure I am rooted and something else I couldn't read because it immediately opened the app info for every app selected which I had to manually go through.I tried "Root # Data2SD card." doesn't seem to do anything. I tried to create a storage to mount (which is a weird approach), but it won't go any further. I tried installing "Auto App2SD (Move)", but it wouldn't even install. Google Play says there is insufficient space - when I have more than 20 GB free internal and more than 90 GB free external. I tried "AppMGR III" and it opens all the App Info screens as well, but this one gave me a message telling me to use a move to phone option, but none exists.
So is the tablet unable to use App2SD? Or am I doing something wrong?

I use "SD Kitkat Fixer" and "FolderMount" from Play Store and have no issues to move app data to SD card.

Unfortunately, for some reason, some apps give me the error "Insufficient Storage Available" from within the Play Store and both of those apps give me that error. (Clearing cache, a call to google, reset device, etc doesn't resolve the issue, and it's strangely specific to apps related to rooting.)
However, I was able to manually edit the Platform.XML folder (which is all apps like that seem to do anyway) and I have mount /system.
Hi there its my 1st time here bcos i cant seem find a solution for this problem on the net (or maybe i dont understand some of them)
i have a samsung galaxy mini 2 running cyanogenmod 11
i also have clockword mod v6.0.4.7
i have this wierd problem
when i try to download something from the browser it says "u need an sd car to download(or something like that)"
i checked my internal sd card directory using es file explorer and it says "internal sd not mounted"
so i booted up in recovery and try to mount it but it gave me an error "error mounting sdcard0"
whats wierd is..
when i download apps from the playstore , everything went smooth as butter even games (no error whatsoever)
tq in advance!
also i have this adb thing which i dont know how to use at all (if that helps)
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Trend (GT S7390).
My phone doesnt support Link2SD, so I downloaded Foldermount.
I got the "Foldermount has detected a faulty module" message and clicked "solve".
After this my phone acts in an extremely strange way. When I open storage settings, it is written that There is no space availible on internal memory, and I cannot access it - for example, I cant take screenshots anymore (I get a "memory low, delete some files" message), but when I take my SD card out of the phone, it continues working, even though the file browser shows that internal memory is empty and unaccessible (If I try to create a file in internal memory, I get a "permission denied" error). All this is extremely strange, because I dont know where the hell are my files and how does the phone work if it says its empty, but I can download applications with no memory warning. Moreover, this is very inconvinient, because I cant store anything on the phone and many apps dont work. I didnt find anything similar in the internet. Could you please help me?
