hi, i have both roms, and they seems not to work probably as a daily driver.
for now i am on linageOS, bur there i a little problem with the camera, it take so long to start up, if it deside to start.

For now our devs are not frequently updating their roms, which is not necessarily a bad thing because what is important is that they are stable, so you could try whichever you like or you can stay on the latest build of CM13 while waiting for lineage from our devs.
stay with cm there are no bugs and performance is good
Resurrection remix is my top choice
For me, cm13 based RR is best for now. I have also tried lineage os 14.1, aicp 12.1, lineage os based RR but now back to cm13 RR.

is there any ROM (not MIUI based) which has the onehand-mode known from MIUI?
So far i can't remember i found one.
I tried some 3rd party apps and Xposed modules, but those onehand-modes dont work
half as good as the built-in MIUI one.
Maybe you know a custom ROM with MIUI-like Onehand-Mode ?

Every ROM based on Lineage 14 Nougat has it, can't find any Oreo ROM supporting it unfortunately.
I love to flash custom Roms in all my phones, but there is not much time to flash all Roms and check out special features. So anybody interested can share your favourite ROM and it's features differ from other Roms .

Alexey's Lineage OS 15.1 Extended (newest build)
So many customizable options. To be honest, I'm overwhelmed by this ROM because of so many features it provides. It's like having Substratum already baked into the ROM and you just apply the settings on-the-go.
Rr oreo unofficial by endless and lineageos 15.1 extended by alexey. So far both rom is the best for battery and performance as my daily usage.

I have this spare S6 edge my wife left me after buying a new mobile, it's still in very good shape and I would like to use it essentially as a tablet (no sim card, wi-fi only); most important, I would like to use it as a spare token generator for my work and as a consequence I need these functionalities:
encryption
no root
camera working.
I'm tired of Samsung stock ROM and I would like to try something newer; so far I have tried official LineageOS 14.1, unofficial 15.1 and 16, nexus 9.0 and Ultimate Oreo (note 8 port). Among those roms, the only one suitable for me is LOS 14.1, all others have issues:
LOS 15.1 and 16 : no encryption; 16 does not have HWC and overall appears less smooth than all others
Nexus 9.0 : rather buggy and again no encryption
Ultimate Oreo: camera does not work when I need it.
LOS 14.1 is fully functional and pretty stable, but what I do not like about it is that is not as smooth as ultimate oreo (really impressive how smooth that is) and after all it is still Nougat as stock Samsung ROM.
My question is: do you have any suggestion of ROM I could try ? Should I go back to stock ROM and live happy with it ?
