I am currently on RR 5.8.3 23rd April build. It is working fine but i feel battery backup is less than MIUI, especially xiaomi.eu.
I have heard that battery backup and Camera are better in Nitrogen but customizations are better in RR. Also, as per my experiance RR has proven to be more stable than Nitrogen, although I used Nitrogen a long time ago. Can anyone suggest which one one of these is better for kenzo?
I am trying to avoid MIUI as it is too much buggy, even the stable ROMs.

Stock kernel
NOS with franco kernel and naptime is a great combo!
After long time on NOS I tried AOSP Extended with umang kernel and now it is my favorite rom. Try it, you don't regret it

There's no doubt, A ROM is not good only if it's battery backup is good. If I need a phone only for battery backup, I would go for Nokia 1100.
Only reason im backing off from NOS nd LOS is coz of their frequent updates... Monthly updates are fine with patches...
Btw im using pure nexus with stock kernel... Pretty good battery backup nd performance too...

It's the default theme that comes with Nitrogen OS. If you're talking about the last screenshot, it is EX Kernel Manager app running on dark theme.

I've tested too, it has a lot of bugs and it's smooth until you open 3 apps.
Hi there,
I recommend using Slimsaber 4.4.4 (Kitkat). You can use the latest greekdragon build which has Isorec (Isolated recovery support required for TWRP) in-built with the kernel. It is one of the most stable AOSP ROMs I've tested and battery life is excellent.

Well, our device is old and has low specifications, so it doesn't support great multi tasking, for example: when you are using Facebook and messenger pop up at the same time, it lags very much, after all, it's an old phone, but it's still my favorite

Maybe it depends on the apps installed, for me same apps in 6.0.1 runs smoother in 7.1.1
Hi, since there are enough alternatives based on LOS/AOSP, which do you consider to offer most added value to Lineage?
Covered to poll only those that appear regularly updated.
CR-Droid version 3.6 with the double tap to wake kernel gets my vote and I have tried a lot of them. I should add that the battery life is excellent in the few days I have been using it. Don't use version 3.7 it has a few bugs.
Why do we need this kind of poll? Lol.
Some corrections:
AospExtended and PureNexus are based on AOSP instead of LineageOS, where your poll title is "Best Android for IDO based on LineageOS."

I know but they still can be better alternative to LOS and still custom ROM similar to LOS

They are all great roms with different pros and cons. I prefer CR-Droid because it has all the features and customizations I like with great battery life and it's super smooth with a DT2W kernel.
crDroid has one big flaw, it doesn't work together with Xposed framework from PurifyOS (the only working on Nougat atm.)
I tried LineageOS and AICP for now and both can do with Xposed. So my weak vote so far is for AICP.
Easy, which is the best rom (Nougat) in terms of battery?
For my use: 2 SIMs, 8 email accounts, no gaming, Google Cam HDR+ working...

Depends on your usage, I'm a heavy user(gaming, browsing, youtube) I will get around 4-4½ hrs, I use mobile data a lot. If u r a light u might get up to 5-5½hrs also..
I've got flashed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 and I use phone pretty heavy - almost always mobile data is on, browsing internet, gaming, YouTube and a lot of music. GPS and sync are on only when I need them.
I reach about 6/6,5h.

No, I don't use it. The only things I do is using Greenify, change battery performance on efficiency, disable GPS and sync when I don't use it and set screen brightness on as low as possible.
And of course I don't use Facebook app.
hello everyone
I just got a redmi note 4 SD 3 days ago, after a year and a half with my Sony Z
I'll be able to unlock bootloader tonight and get a custom ROM running
currently I have these choices : AOSiP, Cardinal AOSP, AICP, FireHound, RR, dotOS
I want a stable rom with balance between performance and battery, good SOT and suit for daily driver
so if anyone can give a recommendation, I would very appreciate ^^
thank you all ^^
MIUI is the best choice!

You should try out with something stock-ish aosp like los 15.1 . After you've used it for a while, you would be having a basemark in terms of battery life and performance. After that you are free to use whichever rom you want.
And according to me in general los extended by alexey711 has always given me the best battery life. And the performance is just great too.:good:

and yes, I know a lot about LOS back in the days with my Sony Z
but I want a little bit of customization and some small features as well so I didn't put LOS in the list
I just flashed AICP latest build earlier along with ElectraBlue kernel and Magisk, so far so good,no bugs, gonna test for a few more days
again thank you, I'll take a look at your choice when I finishing testing this ROM ^^
