I installed this great OS in my old core 2 duo x64 laptop (dell m4400, 4gb ram). I am dual booting it with windows 10. I have installed Remix OS in second hard drive (which is connected using Harddisk caddy). Every thing works fine but when the OS boots it hangs for a short period of time. And once running it keeps hanging on regular interval like 30 sec for 1 to 5 second. Sometimes I get Android has stopped working error. Is there any fix for this? Thanks

Hi, I have just installed the new Android (Desire version) on my HD2. It boots and functions okay but keeps randomly freezing all the time. Most frequently when I am trying to make calls. I have windows Energy Lite ROM with Radio 2.12 installed.
The screen just freezes every 5 minutes or so and I have to take the battery out to rese.
Anyone know how to solve this?
Im getting the same issue also m8. Think it has something to do with my crappy ebay excuse of an sd card. Using nrg`s rom and its meant too boot android straight away from windows straight away when you turn on the phone.
It usually says "no sd card found" but will let boot android manually from the phone?
Im thinking my phone isnt properly recoginizing my sd card when waking from standby

In windows mobile... go to settings/display settings/backlight adjustment (not sure of exact names ) and turn off all the back light time out settings. whats going on is that your screen is turning off into a standby but the buttons arent linked correctly to turn the screen back on when you touch a button etc. you can adjust time out settings in android after you boot into android and everthing will work
When we will have support of the Remix for those tablets in the title, for most of us there is only black screen after installation !?
On my Encore wt8-32 ive managed to boot it. Problem is it will only consistently book in nomodeset mode which makes gpu slow and a contant blinking cursor on the screen. I have been playing around with grub.cfg trying "xforcevesa" "vga=988" "vga=971" etc... strangely on the odd occassion it booted in properly and was working fine apart from stuck in portrait mode. Frustratingly I would try and reboot with the same settings that worked and other times just get the black screen again, it's like it would just randomly work now and again, anyone know what's going on ?

That's exactly what I mean, only the first time it booted on my encore, after that only black screens. The messing with the grub and partly working means it can be set up correctly, my/our request is JIDE TEAM to make it stable for constant normal booting if it's possible. Or someone with the same hardware that has the knowledge ti give us some help
It runs good on my MicroCenter TW-801 - but I have not been able to get it to work on the internal drive yet only on a external usb sd card.
guys use rmx installer and use the 64bit remix os beta uefi and u will be able to get it working, but no sound, no Bluetooth, no rotation ( in my case with a m80ta I'm locked in portrait mode), no sensors basically, everything else seems to be working fine,sd reader, buttons, gpu seems to be recognized well but with no rotation most apps wont work at all
by the way the led next to my front camera is always turned on while the os is running
Apparently there is a bug in recent kernels that affects Bay Trail devices.
Try to set kernel parameters intel_idle.max_cstate=1 and tsc=reliable at the end of kernel line in grub.cfg.
That did the trick on my Asus Transformer Book T200TA.
I hope that will work for you too!
I got it working when I change resolution in grub file. I made it 800x600 and it starts then and when it starts the with native resolution.
How to get screen rotation ? It's very important for some apps !
I get hard locks at various times. Using a HP Stream 7, it has a 32 bit UEFI with a 64 bit processor. Dumbest thing I've heard of.
Just started this thread for all to share their experience with RemixOS.
My PC specs:
*Processor - i3 (1st Gen)
*8GB DDR3 RAM
*nVidia Quadro K2000 graphics
*Belkin USB WiFi dongle
1. I got an error as stated by some people here....about the CPU being unknown.
2. It froze while "Turning on wifi" (or something) during the installation. I had to force reboot. Sadly, no wifi.
3. Completed the setup after the reboot.
3. Installed CSR2 (a racing game...to test system performance) but froze again at the opening logo. It happens too in the alpha but only after about 5~10 mins into the game.
4. Intermittent popup notifying that a program (which i launched) is not responding...with 2 buttons to 'wait' or 'close'. Didn't have that in the alpha.
Gonna try looking around and see if it can be rectified. PhoenixOS is way more stable....no freezing/hanging issues but the graphics suck.
Running into a super weird problem. I've gotten the beta working on my Acer c720 Chromebook and Macbook Air (Via USB boot) without any issues, and really enjoying the stability and speed increase. However, when trying to boot into Remix on my main Laptop (Which worked with the Alpha, albeit with resolution issues.) things start fine, boots normally, resolution corrects itself, shows me the desktop and I can move the mouse and acts completely normal for about 15 seconds before giving up and rebooting again and going into a death loop. I've tried this with fresh installs, different sticks and the USB that I've been using on the Chromebook/Mac (Thinking the initial setup was causing a problem possibly.) but with the same effect.
I'm not seeing anyone reporting these sorts of issues (Since my laptop can actually boot and load Remix, just not keep it open) and I was wondering if anyone else was running into this issue or could know of any solutions. Thanks!
I have an X64 laptop running windows 10 and with a dead screen. Figured I re-purpose it for a dedicated Remix PC.
Laptop is connected to an external monitor via 15 pin VGA cable. After installing the latest version of Remix OS (I downloaded it today) and booting into remix from the windows boot screen after restarting all I get is a blank screen and my monitor shuts off (which means its not getting a signal).
How can I force remix to only see my external display and not the laptop display?
Help will be much appreciated.
Bump......
Am I in the wrong place or something? Does Remix have an official forum for things like this? Cause I think this is a strange oversight cause at the very least the OS should identify all connected devices at boot. That other one does.....
another bump.......
ok, if no one can help can someone point me to where or who to ask?
I have mine hooked up to an external monitor and it seems to work just fine. Only thing is you can't have the external monitor on while keeping the laptop screen off.
