I use dual boot patcher and aosp extended as primary ROM and RR 5.8.3 as secondary in data slot 1, and miui.EU ROM as secondary in data slot 2. All working well.

I'm using SS 3.65 on my Droid Razr (XT912). I'm currently running SlimKat and, as backup, CM 10.1 on my two 'extra' slots.
I NEVER use the stock ROM anymore - I think in the last six months I've rebooting into it just one time. So I am wondering:
Can I just delete the stock ROM 'slot'? (and in doing so free up that memory for other use)
Or can I erase and put another ROM in that slot?
Finally, if I EVER needed stock again, is there a 'stock' ROM out there that I could flash back into that 'slot'?
I'd like to be able to use that memory space that the useless stock ROM takes up. Just don't know if this is safe to do... Or how to do it exactly.
Thanks.

Runnin' SS 3.65, CM11 12/18, JBX 12/09, WIFIAP.zip, on "stock" slot. Stock slot is required and considered "non-recoverable" boot partition. Slots created by custom recoveries are "virtual", using system storage space to create and reduce internal storage space. There are various "stock" and "modded" stock roms available, as well as, utilities to root, reroot, and flash "stock" rom. You may flash on "stock", you can not delete or recover space, be sure "rom-of-choice" is working smooth, make back-ups, (i.e. nandroid/TB), flash to stock!! If "rom-of-choice" is working smooth on "stock" slot, you may "delete" virtual slots to "recover" internal storage space!!

Sorry to knock the dust off an old post, but for the SS flash on the stock slot, did you just wipe cache, data, and android secure before you flashed? Or did you do something more extensive? Thanks.

As the title says, I'm looking for a ROM that is KK based, but also supports exFAT formatted MicroSD Cards. I was on OmniROM and CyanogenMod, and I like the ROMs, but I'm not sure if they support exFAT formatted MicroSD cards or not. I know they don't support ext4 formatted SD cards well, which is why I temporarily rolled back to a 4.3 Sammy based ROM. I prefer KK, but I also don't want to have to keep my MicroSD card formatted in FAT32 if I don't have to.
exFAT support on omnirom via boeffla kernel
Recently, I was exploring OmniROM 4.4.2 and was quite amazed that i could not see my files on a 64GB exfat formatted sd card... Though, in CWM, my files were definitely there, but the ROM could not see them.
I fixed this by flashing the amazing boeffla kernel and set the exfat module to ON in boeffla config 2 app. the files on the SD card were immediately visible. i did not have success with googy max 2 kernel, though... boeffla did the job.
i had also temasek ROM CM11 4.4.2 recently and the rom definitely supports exfat, you can use whatever kernel u want.

Thanks. Temasek's CM11 seems to be working fine for accessing my exFAT partitioned card. Is there a way to have Temasek auto-update, (I'm a fan of running the latest and greatest), or do I have to manually update it? I don't see an option for system updates.
no auto update, just manual

The latest doesnt always mean better. there is always experimenting involved and the new code can contain bugs. like for example a user has recently reported that he has a sudden battery drain on the newest V58 and did not have this behaviour on V57. or - someone else reported an unstable LED notification. i had this issue too. or - the newer ROM could be without a feature you liked. (halo was gone after several releases...).
you can read about newest experiences and findings here:

also, this was an old thread, you will find tons of valuable formation there:

this rom doesnt have an auto update, you have to use it this way:
HOW TO INSTALL
Latest official CWM recommended but not required.
Read this first -> CLICK ME
1st Time Installing
Download the zip
Download Gapps
WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
Install the update zip from recovery
Install gapps
Reboot
Already installed CM11.0
Download the zip
Install the update zip from recovery
Reflash gapps (if you are using pa gapps)
Reboot
i experienced problems while dirty flashing, i steped from V50 to V56 and the ROM was misbehaving. so from there on, i use cache / dalvik cache reset after EACH mentioned dirtyflashing step (rom flash, clean both, then gapps flash, clean both).
Hello everyone
I recently flashed my sgs 3 to have dual boot, using devil recovery and Googy kernel v2.3.2
First ROM is cm-11-20140815-NIGHTLY, second is Archdroid 1.7.18
While first ROM just runs fine, the second ROM worked also but with a strange issue: It is showing root and external sd card but no internal sd (while using file explorers), seems like it is not mounted or something like that, even xposed installer and other programs that require inernal sd card are not working properly.
Is there anything I can do or this is definetly an incompatibility between ROM and Dual boot ?
I am using moto e ( xt 1022) dual sim model running cm13 on it, the problem which I am facing is SD card not working on my device but it is detected in twrp and it is working fine in it .

Some more details would be nice but this can happen for reasons(assuming you followed every step correctly)
1. ROM is buggy or the installation was not done proper. This type of small bugs appear device to device.
2. CM file manager not working/not installed properly.
3. You are using External SD as internal and encryption not completed properly.
Now the solutions for
1 & 3 is download another ROM or a different version of same ROM, flash it and see.
2 is use Documents instead of CM file manager.
i have same problem, but not work your technique
i have same problem, but not work your technique
Ur method didn't work for me
I flashed stocked ROM and memory card was working fine in it but in cm 12 as well as cm13 it is not detected and in stock lollipop 5.0.2 also not working.
Is there any Nougat 7.1.x based ROM which has individual toggles to enable or disable sim cards? Even though I have a SIM inserted in slot 2, I don't use it everytime, but still it is needed at times. So, if there's any way to disable that SIM slot when not needed, I can reduce battery consumption. I'm currently on Slim7 and it doesn't have the feature.
