A2017u ota b25 - ZTE Axon 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi guys. I woke up this morning to see that I had B25 OTA. I just let it finish the install. Problem that I have found was with the Fingerprint sensor. Before I could unlock my phone easy. Now I have to stick my tongue out, while standing on my head, one leg horizontal, and he the other leg vertical. Wiping cache helps a little but not a lot. I removed fingerprints and re-added them. Helps a little. Hopefully it is just me that is having this problem. Good luck guys.

Vegan tab gingedition help

I set the lockout screen to rotary and I can't unlock my tablet. I need help and it is really frustrating doing trying I know to fix the problem besides a re-flash. I would post in the Vegan tab thread but there is no way I can do that while under 10 posts.
Thanks, vik
I warn do not change your lockout screen while using vegan tab gingeredition because it will essentially soft brick your device as in my case.
The trick is to swipe from corner to corner and ignore the little arc which is half size. Pretend the arc goes all the way around.
Lol, I figured this out last night by accident by just swiping everywhere like a madman until it magically opened.
I had actually turned mine upside down hoping that the gui would flip but it didn't. I couldn't figure out what I did so I could post it but I guess you already knew. props.
Anyways thanks and this'll be the last time I mess with lock screen settings. It's s funny I go through all the "hard stuff" like configuring and flashing only to be undone by a lock-screen.

Gotta say that if I had a nickel for everytime I did something odd to a computer...trust me, I would have MORE that a few bucks! S'ok, dude, we ALL have been there! Sometimes it's the best way to "learn"!

Major problem!

After installing a new rom (BAMF 2.0-5), wiping all data (including dalvik-cache), when I do the initial boot of the phone, the Thunderbolt screen comes up and just sits on that screen.
It's almost like it turns itself into a permanent wallpaper and nothing else can show up on the screen.
Hitting any of the Home buttons or some such will do nothing until I literally do a 'mock' screen unlock and then they vibrate.
What the heck is going on?
Please help.

It was probably just a bad download. Did you check the MD5?
Just restore a back up and you'll be good to go.
It's actually happened with the Gingerjane ROM that was linked in the thread from jcase as well.
Now it's the BAMF ROM as well.
I grabbed the link straight from the developers thread on here.
Wow.
Very sorry, everyone.
My point is moot now.
After messing around with the phone in ADB and Rom Manager, I actually got it to work after a -very- hard data wipe.
Thanks for everyone's concern either way.

How to Unroot HTC Legend...?

Hi guys,
sorry if you seen this same post somewhere else, I accidently posted in wrong section. So few hours ago, being the idiot I obviously am, I forgot my Legend outside on my deck, and tonight, mother nature also decided to teach me a cruel lesson and shed rain on top of my poor now damaged Legend. So far I can't do much to the phone, but I do still have my warranty with HTC, but the problem is, it's rooted and I need to know if there's anyway to unroot it right now being in the system it is? The trackpad still works, touch screen however, is now messed up and swipes down for the notification icon whenever I swipe sideways though. Feel free to criticize me. I think I deserve quite a bit of it.
EDIT:
Good news! This morning the touch screen is much more responsive, just the notification swipe is not working now. But it's a start. Any idea how to unroot? Thanks guys.

If anyone else is having this problem

Hey lads, so ive been here on this forum for a long time and got a LOT of resources for my note and other phones so thank you ALL for that over the years. Now onto my problem. I started having the reboot problem where it will automatically reboot after a few seconds of booting up. I know there are threads concerning this and the usual suspect is the power button, concerning which I have messed with it, cleaned it, kissed it, caressed it, (ok seriously now) i shaved it down a bit so it wont be making unnecessary contact. I even removed the button completely. The first time i did it it seemed to work for a couple days but then it started again. I saw threads indicating it could be a battery issue as well so i ordered a new oem battery and unfortunately that didnt work either. Im just about ready to toss it (no warranty) but i thought i'd put this out there in case any 'higher level' users here may have any final insight to give me before i do that. I always appreciate advice and help of any sort so I'll go ahead and thank you all in advance
Thanks!
looking forward to hearing from u lads.
Edit: oh and it doesn't happen in recovery or download mode. It just stays on no problem. I have flashed new and original roms, kernels, recoveries using odin etc. all to no avail

remove system update notification?

is there anyway to remove this notification? im currently on V20g(p769) ICS .. and keep getting notifcations for the JB update.. anyway to freeze the app running this? or removing it without any issues?
Okay, I'm replying as, when I tried it, the search feature appears to be futzing. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2009651 <This was 1 stop in a chain of answers.... I froze com.lge.lgfota.permission and I'm now going to reboot.... *fingers crossed*
[Edit] And as I hit post, the dialogue popped up. Crap. (Are we allowed to say crap? Lol)
Last time this happened, I had T-Mobile tell me when they would stop "pushing" the update then has to reset my phone to make the notification dissappear completely. All I have to say to that is:
Dear LG, Thank you for the wonderful phone you built, BUT IT IS MINE NOW SO SLAG OFF! Cheers, me.
Lol. I'm still a but peeved that I lost some of my functionality when I went to JB (like, why can't i set the level of vibration?) but I just started to enjoy having it rooted! This phone isn't even insured anymore. (that's why I have an F3... that and pretty lights...)
okay, so that post confused me... anyway to explain it a little better? I read the thread you sent.. didnt help me much lol
