Hey guys,
my sister in law gave me her S6 Edge. The screen is completely broken and you cant see anything. Now she has all the pictures from her honeymoon and wedding on that phone. The phone pin locked. I have a OTG adapter and can use USB mouse and keyboard. I opened Kies and tried to sync the files but it says the phone is locked. Now I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A with Android 6.0 and I tried to open the Tablet with my USB keyboard.
- I attached the keyboard with the OTG adapter.
- The screen turned on. I pressed enter and the tablet took me to the pin entrance screen
- I entered the PIN code with the keyboard, pressed enter and the tablet was unlocked.
I tried the same with the phone but it didnt work. Can anyone with a working Screen and OTG help me out here? How can I unlock the phone in order to be able to sync the videos with my pc.
Thanks a lot.

Hello!
So yesterday I broke my Ace 4 digitizer. I can't see much and it won't respond to any touches. Phone connects to my PC but if I open my device then it doesn't show any files. I had PATTERN LOCK on. Samsung Find My Mobile/Dropbox - I hadn't connected my phone to there. I tried to use mouse with OTG cable but device won't connect with any mouse and won't give power to mouse. Phone is NOT rooted. Plz help me as I really need those pictures from my phone. :crying:
Dear All,
I am an owner of QTY:2 sony xperia z2 D6502.
two weeks ago I took one of them with me to the pool to snap some under water pics for my son where the water directly entered inside the handset and screen started to flicker for like 10 seconds before going black.
long story short, i ended up with a damaged main board not able to run the display and the digitizer, all other functions of the phone is working as it should.
now i need to have access to the phone to back up my applications data.
I did lots of search and found the following program "droid at screen" that can let me control the phone from my PC, but needs to have the USB debugging mode enabled.
using an external keyboard i was able to unlock the lock screen password and scrolled thru settings and i have successfully enabled the usb debugging mode.
afterward and when the program is trying to connect to the phone, a dialog box appeared on the handset itself needed to be confirmed in order to let the pc have access to the phone, and i have no idea how i can achieve that in this condition, as the dialog box is disappearing as soon as i disconnect the the usb cable from the phone.
any one can help me solve this matter?
Thanks.
Elie.
any help?
Elie.
Hi everyone
This morning my Galaxy Note III fell on the floor and ever since its display seems completely broken (its not split or anything, but it remains black after restart and its impossible to unlock it as the touch screen doesn't respond anymore). I already have a new phone but the problem is that I want to save all data like pictures and whatsapp histories not being on the SD card. I tried to connect with ADB but it keeps saying that the device is not authorized. Usually one needs to confirm on the Galaxy when connecting with ADB. But know, as the touchscreen seems dead, thats not an option anymore :-/
The phone seems still perfectly operable otherwise.
Is the any chance to access the phone??
Best regards
Samuel
I already tried to connect an external mice using USB OTG. It seems to work, at least the lights beam up, when I move the mouse around.
Unfortunately, I do not get any feedback on whether the phone is unlocked or not and of course, I don't see the curser as the screen is black :-/
Hi guys,
My screen recently died. Before fixing it at a specialized shop, I want to retrieve the data from the phone. Sadly the phone is pattern-locked and until I unlock it I can't access the data when I connect it to my PC. The screen is essentially dead. The image is almost totally black except for small layer in left top corner and the touch sensor is unresponsive, but other than that the phone works and receives notifications and so on.
USB Debugging mode isn't active on the phone and thus I can't replicate the screen of the phone on my PC through software alone, when I connect it via micro-USB. I also didn't think of this problem in advance and I'm not registered on Sony's FindMyMobile or any similar apps.
I tried using a HDMI-MHL adapter and I confirmed that the phone is indeed working because I'm able to get the phone screen's image on my TV. The problem is I can't actually interact with the phone because as I said earlier the touch sensor is not working.
The HDMI-MHL adapter I've used also seems to have a micro-USB port but that seems to work for power only. If I connect a USB-OTG cable on it and connect a USB mouse to it I get image but no mouse. If I connect the USB-OTG and the mouse, alone, I get a mouse cursor but I can't see what I'm doing (phone vibrates as I 'try' and draw the unlock-pattern blindly).
So, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact screen is dead, I wanna connect my Xperia to my TV via HDMI AND use a mouse at the same time to control my phone. Is this possible_
I also thought of another option... go to recovery mode and flash a zip that removes lock. I thought of trying step by step (switch keyboard and TV al the time just to get at point where I can find zip file and flash it). Unfortunately in recovery mode the phone does not allow to stream to TV. It only works when phone is after SIM lock.
Two additions: by removing and re-installing ADB on my laptop my phone is unauthorized. Only a matter of clicking on yes/allow on phone but that's not possible and TWRP 3.1.1-0 is installed.
Anyone any clue? I know I ask a lot but I'm searching the internetz for 2 days now and I'm devistated.
THNX a great bunch!!!
ciao

PS Copy/paste a part of the text from a guy from the internet who had exactly the same problem as I did but his thread ended a few months ago without result.
Just 30 minutes after my post I magically had all the dots correct and that blind!!! So turned on USB debugging and got rid of lock pattern. It was a nice three days of my life Guess there was no solution than getting lucky like I did or screen replacement and getting all your data removed.
ciao
hello,
i recently got a core prime from a friend because he didn't need it anymore. I did a factory reset and guess what, the frp kicked in yo. I did a lot of research, but i cant use the otg cable method or anything like that at all, because there is no more micro usb plug in the phone (broke off while pluggin in charger). so i opened it up and yes, it took some lines on the motherboard with it, and the pins of the micro usb port are just gone. so replacing the usb port is not an option. Anyone knows how I could bypass that frp?
thanks in advance

Have you tried holding 2 fingers on the main screen when it ask to select a language.
That should turn on talk back
then you want to swipe with one or 2 fingers starting from the top middle of the screen down and to the right. like if you where writing an L on the screen. That should bring up the accessibility menu. from here you can trun off talk back by swipig your finger again like an L. in the menu select talkback settings
Then go to the bottom and select policy and it should ask you to open in chrome or samsung internet .
from here you can download quickshortcut maker apk and google account manager.
I literally just did it on a customers core prime. I used google account manager 5.1.1 since thats the Android version it was on.
